Fatah senior official supports armed struggle but only when “beneficial” and “causes heavy losses to the enemy”

Fatah Central Committee member Abbas Zaki: “There are several means and arenas of resistance. Resoluteness is resistance. The economy is resistance. Science is resistance. Diplomacy is resistance. Regarding armed struggle, in which Israel has power and an advantage, with all its arsenal of weapons, I do not say we have to abandon it, but I do say that sometimes we need to use it, when it is beneficial to us and causes heavy losses to the enemy. We cannot begin with it with weapons it is doubtful will last two weeks, and in the end Israel will rule the world, and will claim it won the battle as it won against the Arabs in the past.”
