PA salaries to terrorists and their families
PA daily op-ed accuses Israel of "inciting" against the PA by demanding PA end prisoners` salaries and terror glorification
Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida - June 20, 2017

Excerpt of an op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for official PA daily

“Whoever follows official Israeli politics and actions notices that the central elements in the extremist right-wing coalition, in partnership with the herds of settlers and the Israeli security/military establishment, are adopting a series of policies inciting against the Palestinian leadership and taking advantage of every emergency event to pour out their wrath on [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas and the supporting pillars of the Palestinian leadership. As for example, in the case of the two operations (i.e., two-pronged terror attack, see note below –Ed.) that were carried out in Jerusalem last Friday [June 16, 2017], the raising of the issue of the prisoners and Martyrs’ (Shahids’) salaries (rawatib) due to them being considered one of the foundations of ‘terror’ (i.e., refers to an Israeli bill to deduct terrorists’ salaries from the taxes Israel collects for the PA), ...and the incitement against naming institutions and centers of the civilian society after Martyrs.”

Bara Saleh, Adel Ankoush, Osama Ata– three Palestinian terrorists who carried out a terror attack in Jerusalem on June 16, 2017. Two of the terrorists, one armed with an automatic weapon and the other with a knife, attacked Israeli police officers north of the Old City of Jerusalem. Seconds later a third terrorist stabbed and murdered Israeli border policewoman Hadas Malka, 23, at the Old City’s Damascus Gate as she and other officers were responding to
the first attack. All three terrorists were shot and killed by the Israeli officers. Aside from Malka, four Israelis were wounded in the attack. ISIS initially claimed responsibility for the attack but Hamas rejected the claim, saying the terrorists were members of Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).
