“The Lebanese Prisoners and Released Prisoners’ Committee and the Friends of Prisoner Yahya Skaf Committee (i.e., terrorist, participated in murder of 37, 12 of them children) marked the anniversary of the Martyr (Shahid) Kamal Adwan Operation (i.e., Coastal Road Massacre) in a political rally that was held at the Quality Inn in Tripoli on Saturday, March 18, 2017…
[Fatah Revolutionary Council member] Rifat Shanaah gave a speech on behalf of the [Fatah] Movement: ‘The operation that Yahya Skaf and his comrades participated in, led by Martyr Dalal Mughrabi, constituted a response to [Israeli army commander and later Israeli Prime Minister Ehud] Barak, who commanded the assassination of the three leadership members Abu Yusuf Al-Najjar (i.e., Commander of Operations for the terrorist organization Black September), Kamal Adwan (i.e., head of Fatah’s terrorist operations in Israel), and Kamal Nasser (i.e., senior member of Black September), and therefore it was called the Kamal Adwan Operation. They crossed the sea and reached the shores of Haifa, next to the Zionist activity headquarters, and a confrontation took place there against the enemy, which led to the deaths of over 30 of its people, the deaths as Martyrs of the members of the operation, and three of its heroes falling into captivity, including Yahya Skaf. Yahya Skaf and Amer Ameriyah (i.e., terrorist who participated in the Coastal Road Massacre) are an inseparable part of Palestine.’
Shanaah emphasized that our only enemy is the Zionist occupation, and that the Palestinian resistance’s compass will continue to point towards Palestine.”

The article appears in the April 2017 edition of the magazine of Fatah’s Information and Culture Commission in Lebanon, Al-Quds, and was posted on the commission’s website Falestinona on April 5, 2017.

Israel maintains Skaf was killed during the attack and that his remains were transferred to Lebanon in the exchange deal with Hezbollah in July 2008, but the Lebanese authorities claim he is still imprisoned in Israel.
