Abbas expresses “condolences” over murder of American tourist in Tel Aviv terror attack, occupation responsible for terror attacks

Mahmoud Abbas has not condemned even one terror attack during the 8-month terror campaign (2015-2016). Even when US Vice President Joe Biden urged Abbas to condemn this terror attack in which a US citizen was murdered, Abbas refused. He “offered condolences,” but never condemned the attack. [The Jerusalem Post, March 10, 2016]
Worse still, Abbas has justified the attacks. After Palestinians had carried out 65 stabbing attacks, 8 shooting attacks, and 8 car ramming attacks, in which a total of 14 Israelis were murdered and 167 were wounded, Abbas defended them as part of a “popular peaceful uprising:” “We want peaceful popular uprising, and that’s what this is. That’s what this is.” [Official PA TV, Nov. 16, 2015]

Headline: "The President [Abbas] to Biden: The occupation and settlements are the reason for the violence and spilling of blood"
"[PA] President Mahmoud Abbas received American Vice President Joe Biden and his entourage yesterday [March 9, 2016] in the presidential headquarters in Ramallah.  The president emphasized that the restoration of hope and creation of a political prospect for the realization of the two-state solution within the June 1967 borders are the key to peace and stability in our region, and that the continued dictates, along with the settlements and consolidation of the occupation, are the reason for violence and the spilling of blood. (reference to wave of Palestinian terror attacks against Israelis, September 2015-April 2016.) The president expressed his condolences to the American vice president over the death of the American citizen (i.e., Taylor Force, killed by a Palestinian terrorist) who was killed two days ago [March 8, 2016], and at the same time emphasized that the occupation authorities have killed 200 Palestinians in the last five months. Likewise, he emphasized the necessity to fight against all forms of terror and that victory over ISIS and terror necessitates the establishment of the independent State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital. The American vice president said that the American administration is committed to the principle of two states, and that it must be maintained. He emphasized the administration's permanent standpoint regarding the settlements."

Bashar Masalha – 22-year-old Palestinian terrorist who carried out a stabbing attack, murdering Taylor Force, an American tourist, and injuring 11, in Tel Aviv-Jaffa on March 8, 2016. Masalha was shot and killed by Israeli police.

Palestinian terror wave (2015-2016) – Several months of Palestinian violence and terror attacks against Israelis, ‎including stabbings, shootings, throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails, and car rammings. The wave was at its height from October 2015 through March 2016, but one man was killed in September 2015 and sporadic attacks continued after March 2016, including a bus bombing in Jerusalem on April 19, 2016. During the terror wave, Palestinian terrorists murdered 34 people (30 Israelis, 1 Palestinian, 2 Americans, and 1 foreign worker from Eritrea) and injured 400.
