Israel's creation is
"greatest crime known to humanity,"
writes official PA daily op-ed

PA daily op-eds:
- "Sixty-six years ago a monstrosity was born"
- Israel is "an occupying terrorist state founded on biblical myths"
- Israel's Foreign Minister Liberman is a "liar, son of a liar, from a terrorist Khazar dynasty, immigrant thug from Moldova, with no right to be in occupied Palestine"

To coincide with Israel's Independence Day last week, the official Palestinian Authority daily published an op-ed describing Israel's creation - "the occupation of Palestine" - as "the greatest crime known to humanity." Other terms of demonization used to refer to Israel's creation were "a monstrosity was born" and "an despicable mission." Jewish fighting forces in the War of Independence were referred to as "the Zionist gangs."

Palestinian Media Watch has documented that the Palestinian Authority refuses to recognize Israel's right to exist, even though at times it acknowledges Israel's existence.

Children in the PA are likewise taught in official education to reject Israel's right to exist. A PA schoolbook uses some of the same terms that appeared in the op-ed when teaching 12th graders about the establishment of Israel:
"Palestine's war (in 1948) ended with a catastrophe that is unprecedented in history, when the Zionist gangs stole Palestine... and established the so-called State of Israel." [Arabic Language, Analysis, Literature and Criticism, grade 12, published by the PA Ministry of Education]

Official PA TV taught young children that Israel's creation was a temporary "occupation":

"We will never forget that we have land that was occupied in 1948 which will return to us one day." [Official PA TV, Feb. 23, 2013]

Last week the official PA daily wrote:
"Sixty-six years ago, a monstrosity was born, which grew over the ruins of an entire people, which had been expelled from its land and homeland, and its name became Israel. This monstrosity has an army that defeated the armies of the region in six days or less, and it has a language whose letters were put together without patterns and without meaning, and which is abnormal, lacking rules or order. It has a flag with two stripes, and in the middle a stolen star... The Zionist gangs invaded the land of Palestine and expelled its residents before the eyes and ears of the world - which didn't lift a finger - and specifically the powers at the time, which gave the Zionist gangs cover and eased their despicable mission, and afforded them all means of assistance. This was a crime unprecedented in history... The occupation of Palestine was the greatest crime known to humanity. Since that time, the Palestinian people has been confronting these gangs using all the means and methods at its disposal, to regain the stolen right, waiting for the long-awaited day..." [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 7, 2014]

A precise description of the denial of Israel's right to exist was written by the PA's Ambassador to India Adli Sadeq:
"[Israelis] fool themselves, assuming that Fatah accepts them and recognizes the right of their state to exist... There are no two Palestinians who disagree over the fact that Israel exists, and recognition of it is restating the obvious. But recognition of its right to exist is something else, different from recognition of its existence."
 [Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 26, 2011, emphasis added]

Recently, Fatah official Tawfik Tirawi stressed the PA and Fatah's denial of Israel's right to exist when he stated that "the two-state solution does not exist" and called for a "return to the option of one Palestine from the river to the sea."

The writer of a second recent op-ed in the official PA daily referred to Israel as "an occupying terrorist state founded on biblical myths," and called Israel's Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman a "liar, the son of a liar, from a terrorist Khazar dynasty, immigrant thug from Moldova with no right to be in occupied Palestine."

The following are longer excerpts of the two recent op-eds published in the official PA daily, rejecting Israel's right to exist:

Op-ed by regular columnist Baha Rahal in the official PA daily:

"Sixty-six years ago, a monstrosity was born, which grew over the ruins of an entire people, which had been expelled from its land and homeland, and its name became Israel. This monstrosity has an army that defeated the armies of the region in six days or less, and it has a language whose letters were put together without patterns and without meaning, and which is abnormal, lacking rules or order. It has a flag with two stripes, and in the middle a stolen star...
These days, pain is tearing the hearts of all Palestinians. Their pain is the same wherever they are - whether in their homeland, in the refugee camps in the diaspora in the neighboring countries, or in countries on all five continents, where they were scattered in the wake of the great Nakba ("catastrophe," the Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) which befell them unjustly and against their will.
The Nakba befell our people 66 years ago, when the Zionist gangs were fighting each other to conquer Palestine, using the Balfour Declaration as a pretext, as if it were a divine promise, as if Balfour had the right to make the promise in the first place...
The occupation of Palestine was the greatest crime known to humanity. Since that time, the Palestinian people has been confronting these gangs using all the means and methods at its disposal, to regain the stolen right, waiting for the long-awaited day, adhering to its right of return, and holding firm to its land and its homeland."
[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 7, 2014]

Op-ed by Jihad Al-Khazen  in the official PA daily, re-printed from the London-based Al-Hayat:

"The news [reported] that Israel's Foreign Minister, Avigdor Liberman, said he had held talks with Saudia Arabia and Kuwait, and that Israel can establish diplomatic relations with the Gulf states, since they share Israel's fear of Iran...
Liar, son of a liar, from a terrorist Khazar dynasty, immigrant thug from Moldova, with no right to be in occupied Palestine. The other war criminal, Benjamin Netanyahu, had already alluded to dialogue and relations with the Gulf states against Iran. The Gulf states undoubtedly have reason to be concerned about Iran's Persian aspirations, but they won't deal with them through cooperation with an occupying terrorist state founded on biblical myths."
[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, April 20, 2014]
