PA daily marks 69 years since Israel’s establishment by “the Zionist gangs;” PA: The Nakba was “terror unprecedented in history, and the crime of the era”

Headline: "69 years to the Nakba"
"Our people wherever it is found today [May 15, 2017] marks Nakba Day (i.e., “the catastrophe,” the Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) Day, caused to it by the Zionist gangs 69 years ago…
The Palestinian National Council (i.e., the legislative body of the PLO) emphasized for the 69th anniversary of the Nakba that our people will continue to adhere to the right of return to its land and to the lands from which it was uprooted as a result of the policy of terror and crime carried out by the Zionist gangs in 1948… The [PA] Ministry of Information said that the Nakba of our people is an open wound, terror unprecedented in history, and the crime of the era for which there will never be a statute of limitations, and which necessitates putting all of the criminals on trial before international courts. The Ministry of Information emphasized that the Nakba of 1948 and what occurred following it – massacres, the erasing of Palestinian cities and villages down to the foundations, and expulsion – are conclusive evidence that the Zionist gangs, who paved the way for the establishment of Israel, committed the most despicable crimes of ethnic cleansing against our people… The Fatah Movement again emphasized the right of return for the refugees, and said that it constitutes a permanent national goal which must be realized in order to bring peace and stability to the region, and a holy right guaranteed by international law."

Palestinians commemorate Nakba Day on May 15, the day after Israeli Independence Day. On May 15, 1948, combined forces from Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Iraq joined Palestinian Arab forces in an attempt to eradicate the newly-established State of Israel. The Nakba (i.e. "the catastrophe) refers to the displacement of Palestinians that occurred as a result of this Arab war of aggression against Israel.
