Headline: “Dr. Amal Hamad – Our prisoners will remain a true symbol in the battle of resolve and challenge”
“In her speech, Fatah Central committee member Dr. Amal Hamad saluted the members of the great Fatah and the male and female prisoners in the occupation’s prisons, the heroes of freedom, honor, giving, and sacrifice, and symbols of pride, honor, and freedom. She said: ‘Today [April 13, 2016] we convey a message of loyalty and appreciation to our prisoners in the occupation’s prisons, and to their families and relatives. Today we are not honoring the prisoners, but rather the cause and the identity; we are honoring the [sense of] belonging to the homeland and the homeland’s message. We are celebrating them today on Palestinian Prisoner’s Day in the month of April, month of Martyrdom (Shahada) and Martyrs (Shahids), in the month of might, sacrifice, and redemption. Yesterday was the anniversary of the three founding leader Martyrs, the anniversary of the great of this homeland, the anniversary of the founders of the Palestinian revolution – the anniversary of Kamal Nasser, Kamal Adwan, and Abu Yusuf Al-Najjar. This month also holds the anniversary of the first bullet and the first rock, the anniversary of the Martyr commander [Khalil Al-Wazir] Abu Jihad.’ […]
She emphasized that Fatah keeps the rifle and Palestinian Fatah honorable and pure weapon from the occupier, and the administration of the popular resistance in all its forms, the administration of the political and diplomatic struggle on the international level, and the achievement of a state and the sympathy and support of the international community. Likewise, she emphasized that they have not renounced any type of resistance, but rather combine them, and the priorities are determined according to the situation and changes of the period, but the Palestinian compass still [points] clearly – the compass is a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.”

Kamal Adwan and Kamal Nasser were both senior members of Black September who were killed by Israeli forces in April 1973. Kamal Nasser was also the spokesperson for the PLO and Fatah. Kamal Adwan was responsible for Fatah terrorist operations in Israel.

Abu Yusuf Al-Najjar was Arafat's deputy and among the founders of Fatah. He also was the Commander of Operations of the terrorist organization Black September and involved in the murder of 11 Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics (Sept. 5, 1972). He was killed by Israel in 1973.

Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir) was a founder of Fatah and deputy to Yasser Arafat. He headed the PLO terror organization's military wing and also planned many deadly Fatah terror attacks. These attacks, which killed a total of 125 Israelis, included the most lethal in Israeli history - the hijacking of a bus and killing of 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
