Fatah holds rally in honor of terrorist who murdered 125; Abbas rep praises his "struggle"

Dr. Abdallah Al-Afranji gave a speech in President Mahmoud Abbas’ name, in which he recounted the life of Martyr Khalil Al-Wazir [Abu Jihad] and the history of his struggle, and read aloud to the attendees a personal letter that Martyr Khalil Al-Wazir had sent to him shortly before his death as a Martyr.
Afterwards, Dr. Amal Hamad gave a speech in which she spoke of the sacrifices made by Abu Jihad during the history of the Palestinian revolution, and about his great role in building the foundations of the Fatah Movement.
Hamad emphasized [the importance of] marking the anniversary of the death as a Martyr of Khalil Al-Wazir ‘Abu Jihad,’ as we draw many meanings from his anniversary, and it is an eternal anniversary that inspires future generations to struggle and fight against the occupation and adhere to the basic principles, as it inspired our generation…
At the end of the ceremony Martyr Khalil al-Wazir’s family and the relatives of the Martyrs of the Sheikh Radwan West sub-branch were honored.”
Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir) was a founder of Fatah and deputy to Yasser Arafat. He headed the PLO terror organization's military wing and also planned many deadly Fatah terror attacks. These attacks, which killed a total of 125 Israelis, included the most lethal in Israeli history - the hijacking of a bus and killing of 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
