PA depicts a world without Israel
Future: A world without Israel
PA depicts a world without Israel
The Palestinian Authority makes no attempt to educate its people towards peace and coexistence with Israel. On the contrary, from every possible platform it repeatedly rejects Israel's right to exist, presents the conflict as a religious battle for Islam, depicts the establishment of Israel as an act of imperialism, and perpetuates a picture of the Middle East, both verbally and visually, in which Israel does not exist at all. Israel's destruction is said to be both inevitable and a Palestinian obligation.

The following description of Israel's founding in a Palestinian schoolbook represents the dominant dogma about Israel:

"Palestine’s war ended with a catastrophe that is unprecedented in history, when the Zionist gangs stole Palestine … and established the so-called State of Israel."
[Arabic Language, Analysis, Literature and Criticism, grade 12, p. 104]

This official PA map of "Palestine” was broadcast on PA TV in September 2011. The map includes both the PA areas and all of Israel (excluding the Golan Heights) wrapped in the Palestinian flag - a symbol of Palestinian sovereignty over the whole area - and has a key through it, symbolizing ownership. Similar maps presenting all of Israel as "Palestine" appear in Palestinian schoolbooks and are shown regularly on PA TV.
Future: A world without Israel
The PA promises its people that in the future, the State of Israel will be completely erased and replaced by a State of Palestine. A Fatah member of Palestinian parliament, Najat Abu Bakr, told PA TV that the PA supports and adopts the “stages plan.” To the world, the PA claims that the Palestinians seek the West Bank and Gaza Strip, when in fact the goal is all of Israel: “It doesn’t mean that we don’t want the 1948 borders, but in our current political program we say we want a state on the 1967 borders.” [PA TV (Fatah), Aug. 25, 2008]

Fatah Central Committee member Abbas Zaki reiterated this position on Al-Jazeera TV:
“It is impossible to realize the inspiring idea or the great goal in one stroke… Israel will come to an end… If I say that I want to remove it from existence, this will be great, great, [but] it is hard. This is not a [stated] policy. You can't say it to the world. You can say it to yourself.” [Al-Jazeera TV, Sept. 23, 2011]

The following words from a song on official PA TV, which started to appear in 2012, expresses longing for the day that Jaffa, Acre, Haifa and the Galilee, all in Israel, will be part of “my country” (“Palestine”) where all cities would be accessible "with no borders":
"I wish I could enter my country with no borders...
I will go about in Bethlehem and in Al-Aqsa [Mosque], which is held captive...
I do not forget Jenin or Nablus, and the Galilee
I do not forget you, Jaffa…
To Jerusalem, to Ramle, to Acre, to Haifa, oh Lord...
I wish I could enter my country with no borders." [PA TV (Fatah), Feb. 9, 2012]

The PA’s using culture to long for the destruction of Israel is not new. Many examples can be seen in this section below, including a music video, which aired on official PA TV from 2007 – 2009 and promises the liberation of “Palestine,” listing numerous Israeli cities as “Palestine”:
"We will liberate the Land of the religions … Palestine is Arab in history and identity… From Jerusalem and Acre, from Haifa and Jericho and Gaza and Ramallah, from Bethlehem and Jaffa, Be'er Sheba and Ramle, and from Nablus to the Galilee, from Tiberias to Hebron.”

Finally, the newest PA schoolbooks teach that "Palestine will be liberated by its men, its women, its young ones and its elderly." [Arabic Language and the Science of Language, grade 12, p. 44]
Poem on PA TV expresses longing for Zionists to leave Israel
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, June 14, 2013
PA TV program Good Morning Jerusalem. Guest: 15 year-old poet, Arin Abdullah.
PA TV host: “What else would you like us to hear about now?”
Arin: “About the prattle of a Zionist, about the Zionists.”
PA TV host: “About the Zionists.”
Second PA TV host: “Please.”
Arin: “A prattling Zionist,
A prattling Zionist philosophizes in the plazas (i.e., of the Al-Aqsa Mosque)
And says: ‘Jerusalem is ours and in it is Solomon’s Temple’ […]
All day long they fabricate things that do not really exist.
The young woman is deprived of her happiness at her wedding because of the tank that enters the neighborhood and brings destruction.
A boy grows up as an orphan because conscience and feeling are lacking…
Is their [the Zionists’] departure from the land of Canaan not close, leaving the people to live in freedom and in peace?
Yesterday they spread corruption and accused us of terrorism
They killed the children of Gaza,
As they called for a ‘hudna’ (ceasefire) and to make peace.
In the name of your God, is this [a normal] situation?”
PA TV host: “Thank you Arin.”
Second PA TV host: “Arin, may you be blessed.”
PA daily op-ed: The day that Allah will free the land “is not far off”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 17, 2013
From Sheikh Hassan Ahmad Jaber’s column “Religious Reflections,” in official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida’s weekly religious supplement. Sheikh Hassan Ahmad Jaber is Mufti of the Rafiah region and a member of the Supreme Council for Islamic Legal Rulings.
“On the fifteenth of the month of May, 1948, catastrophe (nakba) struck our resolute people... But May 15 arrived, and marked the onset of the conspiracy that had been devised against our Palestinian nation, a conspiracy accomplished by the recognition of Israel as a state. As we remember that accursed day, our determination to demand our rights only grows, and we shall change that day from a day of catastrophe (nakba, the term used by Palestinians when referring to the establishment of the State of Israel) to a day of returning... Two years ago our Palestinian people walked to the borders that separate Arabs from Israel, and our people crossed the border into its country of Palestine, armed with nothing other than faith in Allah and the determination to gain its rights and free its land. Had this elite of our people been armed and supported by the states that border Israel, that which gladdens a friend and saddens an enemy would have happened. But, that day is not far off, the day that Allah will unify the Arab and Islamic Ummah (nation) and inspire it with commitment, courage, and honest intent to free the land, and our people’s cause will be properly resolved in a way that will restore the rights to its people. And so, the Arab and Islamic Ummah (nation) must quit the internal disputes and conflicts, and surely know that these disputes and conflicts, whatever their causes may be, serve only the interests of the enemy."

PA youth magazine: "Recall the wild jungle-like deeds and barbaric behavior of the Zionists... whose blood was nurtured with malice towards mankind"
Source: Zayzafuna magazine, May 1, 2013
Headline: "The Palestinian Nakba Day"
“Emotions stir on this anniversary [of the Nakba (i.e., “the catastrophe,” the Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel)]. The hearts yearn, [one is] breathless, the movements slow down, the brains are worn out, the thoughts are confused, and the tears flow...
Then the automatic thought begins to recall the wild jungle-like deeds and barbaric behavior of the Zionists, who began to build a state for themselves on the ruins of a people they destroyed with their own hands. The kernel of a gang, whose blood was nurtured with malice towards mankind – murder, destruction, captivity, stealing, robbing, an absence of human traits.
An anniversary that stirs the emotions of the fathers as they remember their Martyr (Shahid) sons. Mothers cry as they remember the prisoners, and hopes are renewed among the grandchildren thanks to the key the grandfathers hid, [which] became the symbol of the return.
An anniversary that has become a lesson and a moral: one person recalls the slaughter of children and elders, another recalls the destruction of homes, another tells how a woman died, and someone else recalls homes that became heaps of stones, but [still] tell the story of a people who will surely return.
Look, hear the Nakba of members of your people, your people, your family – how they were uprooted and how a woman’s unborn child was murdered in cold blood. No, do not forget the soil of your land, no matter how much time may pass. The land will return. We shall build a palace of glory and praise, and the lion cubs’ (i.e., children’s) eraser will rub out the words that the vile ones wrote.”

PA TV host: "And of course we will never forget that we have land that was occupied in 1948 (the establishment of the State of Israel), which will return to us one day. Remember well, children. Also [remember] to safeguard our folklore, our national games, the folklore in all its forms, our dress and our food and our games and anything that forms the Palestinian folklore - we have to safeguard it. If we don't safeguard it, then the occupation might steal it as well, as it stole our land. Right? Do you agree with me? Bravo!"

Guest on PA TV: We will only accept a Palestinian state “from the sea to the river” (i.e., all of Israel)
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Dec. 28, 2012
PA TV program Good Morning, Palestine spoke with the parents of three sons imprisoned in Israel.
PA TV host 1: “You’re saying that this is the eighth year in a row that you haven’t lit a Christmas tree in your home?”
Mother: “That’s right.”
Host 1: “The occupation prevented you from even lighting the tree? They’ve stolen the lights?”
Mother: “The tree is a beacon of hope. As long as I take my beacon of hope from our prisoners, I don’t need the tree. They are the tree, they are the nativity, they are love, they are peace – the prisoners. May Allah be with them and give them strength and help them be victorious over the Nazis.”
Host 1: “May Allah help you.” [Turning to the other host, she says] “Should we ask them to make a final wish for their children?”
Host 2: “By all means. A final wish for your sons and for all prisoners before we end.”
Mother: “I wish freedom for all male and female prisoners, and freedom for our great state. We hope our state will be from the [Mediterranean] Sea to the [Jordan] River, and not a state within the ’67 borders. No, no, we won’t ever accept that because our state must be from the Sea to the River. That’s what revolution is all about, you know.”
Host 1: “With mothers like you, and [pointing to the father] fathers, we’ll surely achieve that dream.”
PFLP official: We want to return to Haifa, to Jaffa, to Jerusalem, to all of "Palestine"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Dec. 6, 2012
“Popular Front Political Bureau Member Laila Khaled expressed her pride in our people in Gaza and in ‘its brave resistance that taught the Zionist enemy a lesson it will not forget, and prevented it from achieving its goals.’ Khaled spoke at a mass reception in her honor at the Rafiah crossing point. ‘
During this latest Israeli aggression (i.e., Israel’s operation Pillar of Defense aimed at destroying terror infrastructure in the Gaza Strip in November 2012), our people in all places – in refugee camps and in the diaspora – called out ‘May Allah bless the resistance.’’ She went on to say, ‘I visited the grave of ‘the doctor’ (i.e., George Habash, founder of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine) and I told him that I was going to Gaza, holy land that has made us all very proud. I am going to my family, to my friends, and to my people there, bringing them much love from your people, who want to return to Gaza, to Haifa, to Jaffa, to Jerusalem, to Ramallah with no need of authorization. We want to return to all of Palestine, and we will surely return to it.'"

Note: Laila Khaled - PFLP terrorist who participated in the hijacking of TWA flight 840 in 1969.
George Habash - the founder of the terror organization Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). The PLFP has planned many terror attacks against Israeli civilians since its founding in 1967.
Palestinian state on ’67 borders is only first step for getting back all the land (Israel)
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Dec. 4, 2012
The PA TV program Al-Balad Young People features a young man who is a student council member of the Modern College:
“Regarding President Abbas’ application to the UN, we noticed that there was only little student awareness – or no student awareness. [Some thought that] Mahmoud Abbas’ application to the UN ends [our claim to] the ’48 [territories]. No! We used to be [just] an “Authority.” We were disputed territories in the eyes of the international community. We were disputed territories, and now we’ve become an occupied state. An occupied Palestinian state with the borders of June 4, 1967. This is how we’ve laid the foundation for attaining part of what is our right. We didn’t lay the foundation for everything we have the right to; we laid the foundation only for our right to the ’67 territory. Nonetheless, Salah Al-Din, when he [liberated] the lands of Al-Sham (i.e., greater Syria), he gave up on half of them, and only when he reached his full strength, did he come back for the remaining half.”
