Rewriting history
Jewish history rewritten
Jewish history in Land of Israel erased
Denial the Jewish history and connection to the Land of Israel has been policy since the establishment of the Palestinian Authority.
This video is a recent example of a PA academic, denying the existence of thousands of Hebrew language coins, Hebrew texts and Hebrew Bullas (seals) carrying biblical names that that have been found in the Land of Israel.

Lecturer, Urban Planning, Bir-Zeit University, Dr. Jamal Amar
:
"There is a view that where it [the Dome of the Rock] stands was the Holy of Holies of the fictitious Temple – and by the way, that is merely an illusion. There is no remnant of it. It's a myth. A story of no value, like the Arabian Nights, and other legends… Only in Palestine… [after] 60 years of digging, and they've found nothing at all. Not a water jug, not a coin, not any earthen vessel, no bronze weapons, no piece of metal, absolutely nothing of this myth, because it's a myth and a lie. This digging has not left a single meter [unturned], but it has achieved absolutely nothing.” [PATV, June 23, 2009]
Op-ed: Zionist movement was established by “Khazar tribes,” who have no connection to “the children of Jacob”; “Colonialist and imperialist forces” chose to "plant an aggressive entity" in "Palestine" to "divide" Arab nations
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 12, 2018
Excerpt of an op-ed by Yahya Rabah, a regular columnist for the official PA daily

Headline: "The tragedy of the Nakba and the wonders of resolve"

"At this time we remember the 70th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba (i.e., “the catastrophe,” Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel), a comprehensive act of aggression that was carried out against us not because we sinned, and not because we committed a crime… but rather because the course of history… caused the same strong parties – then and afterwards – to use their brutal power against us. They used the Zionist movement, which was established… by peoples of the Khazar tribes, who have no connection to the children of Jacob (Israel) [parentheses in source]… Since Canaanite Palestine is an organic part of the Fertile Crescent (a region of the Middle East where early human agriculture and civilization flourished –Ed.), the colonialist and imperialist forces decided to choose Palestine in order to plant an aggressive entity in it that would divide the united Arab nation into east and west, north and south."

Abbas in Antisemitic speech claims Jews' "social role that was connected to usury, and banks" caused Antisemitism, Holocaust; claims some Jews are descended from Khazars; denies Jewish connection to Israel
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Apr. 30, 2018

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas:  "The sons of Jacob were 12. Where did you bring 13 from? They invented it. Where? In the Khazar Kingdom. When? In the 9th century. It was an irreligious kingdom. Afterwards it became a Jewish kingdom. The emperor converted to Judaism and therefore [the kingdom] converted to Judaism.  Afterwards it broke apart, and all its residents migrated to Europe, and these are the Ashkenazi Jews (this claim is rejected by experts and genetic testing confirms uniform origin of the different Jewish communities-Ed.). The Ashkenazi Jews are not Semites, and they have no connection to Semitism or Abraham, Jacob, or others. It was a Tatar-Turkic state... Second, these Jews who migrated to eastern and western Europe were subjected to massacres by some state every 10 to 15 years from the 11th century until the Holocaust that took place in Germany. OK, but why did this happen? They say: 'Because we are Jews.'...  The hatred of the Jews is not due to their religion, but rather due to their social role. If so, it's a different issue. And therefore, the Jewish problem that was common in all of the states of Europe against the Jews was not due to their religion, but rather due to their social role that was connected to usury, and banks, and so forth... Now we are talking about the Jewish homeland. They are talking about longing for Zion and that's why they are going [there] and so forth. I say - not me, rather history says that these words are baseless."

Abbas’ advisor: Israel is “falsifying history;" After WWII, “the colonialist states” wanted to “get rid of” the Jews of Europe, “who had a monopoly over the economy and capital” and therefore “helped them establish their state,” which was a “crime”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 24, 2018
"During the lecture, [Supreme Shari’ah Judge, PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs, and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Shari'ah Justice Mahmoud] Al-Habbash refuted the claims that the Israeli occupation is spreading against Palestine and its residents by falsifying history and the religious and political facts through fabricated and false myths.
He said: 'After World War II ended, the colonialist states wanted to get rid of the presence of the Jews of Europe, who had a monopoly over the economy and capital. Therefore, they supported these claims and helped them establish their state on the land of Palestine at the expense of the Palestinian people, who are still suffering from this crime.'"

PA Mufti: Jerusalem, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and Palestine are "an Islamic waqf until Judgment Day," and forbids selling or relinquishing it to "enemies"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 13, 2018
"[PA] Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories and Supreme Fatwa Council Chairman Sheikh Muhammad Hussein has forbidden easing the transfer of ownership of Jerusalem and the land of Palestine to enemies.
The mufti stated yesterday [April 12, 2018]: 'Palestine, that includes within it Jerusalem, is waqf (i.e., an inalienable religious endowment in Islamic law) land [and] it is forbidden by Shari’ah law to relinquish it or ease the transfer of ownership of it to enemies, because it is part of the Islamic public property. Granting ownership over Islamic territory or part of it to enemies is invalid and constitutes treason.'
He added: 'Whoever sells his land to his enemies or takes compensation for it sins, as in doing so he aids in the removal of Muslims from their homes. Almighty Allah connected those who remove Muslims from their homes and those who aid in doing so to those who fight against Muslims because of their religion.' He [the Mufti] also emphasized that Jerusalem is the eternal capital of Palestine, and that the American declaration regarding Jerusalem and considering it the occupation's capital is an invalid and illegitimate decision, as one who has no ownership cannot transfer something that belongs to someone else."

Abbas’ advisor: Palestinians should come to the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron and preform Ribat there, “to thwart the plans of the occupation and its settlers to turn it into a Jewish synagogue”

Headline: “Al-Habbash from the Ibrahimi Mosque: The Shari’ah court will remain and the occupation will disappear”
“Supreme Shari’ah Judge of Palestine and [PA] President [Mahmoud Abbas’] advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs Mahmoud Al-Habbash said that ‘The Israeli occupation will disappear, and we from the heart of Hebron emphasize that we remain here, together with our institutions that certify the Islamicness of this land and its Palestinianness - and the best proof of this is the Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., Cave of the Patriarchs).’ … These statements were made during a tour that Al-Habbash held in the Old City of Hebron today, Tuesday [March 14, 2017], in order to be updated on the Israeli violations and actions against the residents of the place… Al-Habbash also encouraged the citizens to come to the Ibrahimi Mosque and to routinely perform Ribat (i.e., religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) there in order to thwart the plans of the occupation and its settlers to turn it into a Jewish synagogue.”

PA TV “Israeli affairs expert” Fayez Abbas reading from Israeli newspaper: “[Israeli Minister of Education] Naftali Bennett: ‘A people that invents the past has no future.’”
Official PA TV host: “Who is inventing the past?”
Fayez Abbas: “[Bennett:] 'The Palestinian people and leadership that are inventing the past, who were in those lands.' It seems that Naftali Bennett’s grandfather’s grandfather’s grandfather lived here. At the most, his father came from Poland, at the most. Should those who have no history and no past- it is all false fables about the Land of Israel and Abraham, that he is their father and grandfather, and their grandmother Sarah. It is all a big lie..."

PA government condemns proposed Israeli legislation on terror salaries: Israel was established “on the basis of the theft of the Palestinian people’s land, property, money, books, heritage, and antiquities”

Headline: “The Arab members of the Israeli Parliament – the frontline of Jerusalem”

“Yesterday [Jan. 22, 2018] the people of Palestine made US Vice President [Mike Pence] hear what he must hear from the Palestinians, the original owners of the land… certainly when the voices of the Palestinian (i.e., Israeli Arab) members of the Israeli Parliament, the native residents of the land, shattered the [US President Donald] Trump – [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu map, and eliminated the statement: ‘a Jewish state’ (the Arab members of the Israeli Parliament disrupted Pence’s speech and were removed; see note below –Ed.). That is on the assumption that the one who stood at the [Israeli Parliament] podium (i.e., Pence) has… the intelligence of a diplomat in a superpower, who is supposed to be wise… But this cannot be hoped for from the vice president of the country of [US Ambassador to the UN] Nikki Haley with her high heels (refers to her remark that her heels are in order to protect Israel at the UN –Ed.)... Here, in this [place] that the world calls ‘Israel’ even though it has no borders, there are two million Arab Palestinians whose historical roots sprouted here the first time the sun rose on the world after the great flood [of Noah from the Bible].

Anything can be expected from those who have committed the historical crime and from the leaders of the new US in the age of the Hitleresque and Balfouresque Trump, who think that the Earth is a cake that they have the right to divide and give pieces of to whomever they want however they want. Those who inherited the colonialist mentality in the American continent and are silent about the crime of the destruction of the Indians will cer
Abbas distorts history: Israel is Europe's "colonialist project that is not connected to Judaism, but made use of the Jews so they would serve as pawns"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 15, 2018
Excerpt of a speech given by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to the PLO Central Council on Jan. 14, 2018

"Egyptian intellectual Abd Al-Wahab Al-Masri, may his memory be a blessing, was one of the most important people that spoke about the Zionist and Jewish movement… He described this entity with these words: 'The significance of Israel’s functional character is that colonialism created it in order to fill a specific role; it is a colonialist project that is not connected to Judaism, but made use of the Jews so they would serve as pawns, and they were, under the motto 'the Promised Land' and 'the Beloved Land,' and they brought them here'…
There is an important matter – how will the Jews immigrate [to Palestine]? The Jews do not want to immigrate because of killing and slaughter. Even during the Holocaust that took place they did not immigrate [to Palestine] (sic., there were many attempts to immigrate to the Land of Israel, many of which were blocked by the British). By the way, the number of Jews in Palestine in 1948 did not exceed 640,000, and most of them came from Europe. [Theodor] Herzl [a founder of modern Zionism] used to say: 'Antisemitism is the engine of Zionism' – in other words, the more antisemitic a person is, the more beneficial he is to us [the Jews]. This is because he advances the Zionist goal – to expel the Jews from their countries to Palestine."

They were gathered and promised the establishment of an Israeli state for them in Palestine since [former British Foreign Secretary Arthur] Balfour.”

Abbas’ advisor: “America will not remain America… Jerusalem is Palestine’s capital forever”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Dec. 22, 2017

Supreme Shari’ah Judge and Mahmoud Abbas’ advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs Mahmoud Al-Habbash:
"Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque are greater than history, and greater than all of the nations and peoples… The one who determines the fate of Jerusalem is not the American president, and not America, and not all of the states of the world… The one who determined the fate of Jerusalem is Allah… Jerusalem is Arab, Islamic, Palestinian, and also Christian forever! Forever!... Trust in Allah, the balance will change. America will not remain America, and the present world will not remain as it is…  The most important, permanent, and influential factor in the battle for Jerusalem – and I say this to the entire nation – is the factor of religion and faith… The victory in Jerusalem is coming, it is coming. And Jerusalem is Palestine’s capital forever! Forever! And the rubbish of the American president isn’t worth – I say again – isn’t worth the urine of one Jerusalem child."

PA TV host and magazine editor deny Jewish historical ties to the land of Israel
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Dec. 22, 2017
Official PA TV, special broadcast on US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, hosting Editor-in-Chief of the Siyasat Magazine Atef Abu Saif

Official PA TV host: “Israelis historians are coming out and saying: ‘We have proven, and the attempts have proven after 50 years of searching and research, that there is nothing that indicates a Jewish civilization (sic. , such evidence abounds).’”
Editor-in-Chief of the Siyasat Magazine Atef Abu Saif: “The Jews passed through. Their original name is the Hebrews. They actually- if we want to count how many people have passed through our land and we hosted them, fed them, gave them drink, and said, ‘We will build you a home next to us here,’ then it works out that all of the peoples of the world- and that is the value of Palestine. However, the Zionist racism came to change reality. In other words, if we- after all, the P ersians lived with us (sic., there were no Palestinians during the Persian occupation of the Land of Israel in the 6th-4th century BCE). This is the land of the civilizations... Therefore, it is impossible to say anything bad about the Palestinian people. The entire world wants Palestine, but it is not the right of anyone other than the Palestinian civilians, who are the descendants of this huge river of the civilizations, this great river of heritage and cultural values. They are the only ones who own this land.”

Op-ed in PA daily invents ancient Arab history in Palestine, denies any Jewish ties to the land of Israel: “If they are here, this is for a Western colonialist goal”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Dec. 19, 2017
Excerpt of an op-ed by Bakr Abu Bakr, Fatah Revolutionary Council member and regular columnist for the official PA daily

“There is no doubt about the Arabness of Palestine for the last 10,000 years, as [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas noted in his latest speech in Istanbul. Regarding the Children of Israel, the Arab tribe that became extinct, and its presence here, indeed it is Arab movement (i.e., apparently meaning an Arab nomadic tribe), and the present residents of our land who are affiliated with the Jewish religion have no connection to them. In other words, they (the residents of the [Zionist] entity) [parentheses in source] are affiliated with several nations, and there is no hereditary – DNA – or national connection between them and the Children of Israel that became extinct. On the other hand, we – the Jebusites, Canaanites (members of the Kinana tribe) [parentheses in source], and Arab Palestinians (the Philistines) [parentheses in source], members of the Tayy tribe, and other tribes - were in Palestine even before the Common Era and established civilization and Jerusalem… The groups of people that are affiliated with Judaism today… were never a people at any time in history. Religion does not create a people or race. Palestine belongs solely to the Palestinian Arabs... The scattered members of the nations that are affiliated with Judaism have countries of their own, and if they are here, this is for a Western colonialist goal – the dismantling of the [Arab] nation – and this is pure exploitation of the cover of a religious lie.”

Op-ed in PA daily distorts biblical account as “Israel’s transparent stories and tales” in order to deny Jewish connection to Hebron
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 18, 2017
Excerpt of an op-ed by Yahya Rabah, regular columnist for the official PA daily

“[Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu is attempting to use even Israel’s transparent stories and tales in order to get out of his personal troubles. An example of this is the statement he recently gave regarding the settlement in Hebron, when he said that: ‘Israeli settlement in Hebron rests on historical rights.’ This is despite [the fact] that the young people in the Jewish schools know that Abraham – when his wife Sarah died and he wanted to buy a plot of land in order to bury her – discovered that the Canaanite laws in Hebron forbid selling land to foreigners, and therefore the king of Hebron was forced to give him a cave in order to bury his wife (sic., according to Genesis, the Hittites offered to let Abraham bury Sarah wherever he pleased without paying for the plot, but he insisted on buying the Cave of the Patriarchs, which did not belong to a king of Hebron).”
PA Minister of Tourism: Israel, not Hamas, is behind destruction of archaeological sites in Gaza in order to “erase the Palestinian narrative in the face of the occupation’s false Israeli narrative”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 16, 2017
“In 1998, the PA appointed a French delegation… to conduct excavations at the Tel Es-Sakan archaeological site, which is in the Al-Zahra area in the south of the city of Gaza, but these days it is being leveled and destroyed, despite the decision of the [PA] Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities that defines this as a crime.
[PA] Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Rula Maa’yaa emphasized yesterday [Nov. 15, 2017] that, ‘All of the activities of leveling the ground and destruction at the Tel Es-Sakan archaeological site are illegal’... Historians and experts say that this is an archaeological site from the ancient Bronze Age (3,300-2,300 BCE), and that it is the most ancient fortified Egyptian administrative center in Palestine…
Maa’yaa emphasized that there is no connection between these activities and the Palestinian people... She said that those who are doing this are pawns of the occupation (sic., Hamas has been destroying the site to create military bases), who are serving to erase the Palestinian narrative in the face of the occupation’s false Israeli narrative, according to which it has first rights to the land of Palestine, and this is by destroying the archaeological and historical sites in Palestine.”

PLO official: Jewish historical ties to the land is “a Zionist invention,” Jews are in “Palestine” because “Europe wanted to get rid of them”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Nov. 15, 2017

Official PA TV program
Palestine This Morning, on the anniversary of the PLO Palestinian declaration of independence, hosting PLO Executive Committee member Saleh Rafat

PLO Executive Committee member Saleh Rafat: "There are deep Palestinian roots in Palestine throughout all of history. It is a Zionist invention that this is the land of the Jewish patriarchs. This is completely incorrect. There were Jews in Palestine... We have Muslims, Christians, and Jews. But all of them were and still are [part of] the Palestinian people... The Khazar Jews were brought and expelled from Europe to Palestine, in order to get rid of them. Germany wanted to get rid of them, [as did] Britain, France, and Italy. All of Europe wanted to get rid of the Jews and expel them so that the West would have a permanent base in the Middle East. Indeed, they established the State of Israel on the land of historical Palestine."
