Fatah official: We value life, but we also value dying for our homeland
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Feb. 5, 2014
Official PA TV program Palestine This Morning broadcast a report on the national mass wedding in Gaza. The PA organizes mass weddings once a year to help young people who don't have the means to hold a wedding celebration on their own.
The program hosted Fatah Central Committee member Amal Hamad.

The TV host explains that this event proves that “our nation loves life, and we have proven this to the entire world.”
Fatah Central Committee member Amal Hamad: “You know what the problem is – the problem is that Israel has always tried to sell the idea that we love death, that we are always on our way to die as Martyrs (Shahids), because for us, life has no value. No – life does have value for us; if we die as Martyrs, it is only to protect the homeland, and we consider that a noble national message that we must fulfill: the moment we go to die as Martyrs and joyfully accompany the Martyrs’ procession, we return afterwards and joyfully accompany the wedding procession – therefore, this message, which the occupation has labored to actualize and propagate to the world, is not true at all: we oppose and fight and stand up to the occupation, [while] trying to protect our heritage, land, homeland and identity – and at the same time, we are happy.”
Fatah official: “Not a centimeter of Jerusalem will be liberated unless every grain of Palestinian soil is soaked in blood"
Source: Official PA TV Live, Dec. 19, 2013
Official PA TV Live broadcast the main event marking World Teachers' Day in Bethlehem. Several PA officials attended the event: PA Minister of Education Ali Zaidan (Abu Zuhri), Fatah Central Committee member Tawfiq Tirawi, Advisor to PA Chairman Abbas on NGOs and Member of Fatah Central Committee Sultan Abu Al-Einein, District Governor of Bethlehem Abd Al-Fattah Hamayel and Director of the Bethlehem Education Administration Nisreen Yasser Amr.
Fatah Central Committee member Tawfiq Tirawi: "I say, from a position of responsibility, not a centimeter of Jerusalem will be liberated unless every grain of Palestinian soil is soaked in the blood of its brave people. For Jerusalem doesn't need negotiations, because negotiations will not bring Jerusalem back to us. What will bring back Jerusalem are the struggle and the resolve... We have conducted negotiations, while not laying down the rifle. It [the rifle] may be resting but we will not neglect our principles. We will rest the fighter's rest, but each period has its method of struggle. From fighting to Intifada, to popular resistance, to negotiations - but we will not abandon [our principles] - not in negotiations and not in any other way. I say, from a position of responsibility, the negotiations resulted in nothing except for the [release of the] prisoners."

PA schoolbook:

“O heroes, Allah has promised you victory... Don't talk yourselves into flight… Your enemies seek life while you seek death. They seek spoils to fill their empty stomachs while you seek a Paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth... Death is not bitter in the mouth of the believers. These drops of blood that gush from your bodies will be transformed tomorrow into blazing red meteors that will fall down upon the heads of your enemies."

Jews are "greediest of all people for life"
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Mar. 12, 2004
Friday sermon:
“Allah, who created them [Jews], and knows their nature well, knows that they love life. (Quran:) 'You will find them the greediest of all people for life.' It doesn’t matter what kind of life. It doesn’t matter if that life is in disgrace, it doesn’t matter if that life is in submissiveness and shame. But they will be greedy for it. This greediness causes them miserliness and dread.”
Palestinians see Israeli "love of life" as weakness
Source: Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 12, 2000
Palestinians, who present death as the highest value, see Israel’s love of life as a weakness to be exploited in battle.
“The way must be found to be rid of this Zionist enemy. The practical solution came from the weakest of Arabs states, Lebanon, which rose up to turn into the strongest of Arab states, by virtue of its brave people... who counted on unbeaten weapons - the will to fight against those [Israelis] who fear battle and love life.”
