He participated in the first security session that the Fatah Movement sent to Cairo. He participated in the establishment of the Security and Surveillance force in Jordan together with Salah Khalaf 'Abu Iyad.' He was part of the leadership of the security force of the Palestinian revolution. He participated in leading of some of the special and quality operations (i.e., terror attacks), and was the head of the Black September organization’s department of operations and assassinations. He came up with the idea for the Munich operation (i.e., terror attack, 11 murdered), and under the false name 'Talal' he was directly responsible for the squad that carried it out."

Fakhri Al-Omari – a Fatah member and a founding member of the Black September terror organization and top aide to Salah Khalaf, one of the founders of Fatah and the head of Black September. Fatah credits Al-Omari with being the one who conceived the idea of the 1972 Munich Massacre in which 11 Israeli Olympic athletes were murdered, and states that he participated in its planning. Al-Omari and Salah Khalaf were assassinated on Jan. 14, 1991 by Khalaf's bodyguard, who it is commonly assumed was recruited to do so by the Abu Nidal Organization, a rival Palestinian faction.

The minister of education and higher education said: 'This is a new Palestinian opus written in letters of light by this genuine Palestinian family, which has sacrificed a Martyr and a prisoner, and of its own will gives gifts to our children, the students…'
Al-Atira emphasized that this is the minimum that can be given, and that it does not compare to even a part of the suffering of the Martyrs who chose the path of light for us."

Official PA TV host: “We want to know who murdered our late leader [Yasser Arafat]. Certainly it is the occupation, but we need to be certain on this issue so that we can turn to the world with facts… They could even kill our [PA] President [Mahmoud Abbas]…
[In 2002,] the Israeli occupation entered every area of the West Bank and tried to kill many, and it killed many of our [Palestinian] people (reference is to counter-terror Operation Defensive Shield, see note below –Ed.)…
In the end they killed him, Yasser Arafat, because up until his last breath he defended the children of his people in war and in peace, in other words both diplomatically and also with a rifle, with a weapon.”

Palestinian child: “In spirit and blood we will redeem you Al-Aqsa Mosque, in spirit and blood we will redeem you Al-Aqsa Mosque. In spirit and blood we will redeem you Al-Aqsa Mosque. Jerusalem, millions of Martyrs (Shahids) are marching towards you, Jerusalem, millions of Martyrs are marching towards you.”

Official PA TV host: “We will follow Yasser Arafat’s path and his promise, and also the path of our current president, leader Mahmoud Abbas, because he wants to see in all of us the future of Palestine, and he wants to struggle for all of us against the occupation’s army. He wants to struggle for us against Israel, which is growing in its military strength - but we are growing in our creativity and we will fight them before the entire world. Allah willing they will soon leave Palestine defeated.”
