Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Jan. 25, 2019

Song lyrics:

“We will die and Palestine will live
We are the people of giants
Allah is with you, Allah
O Al-Aqsa Mosque, you will not be humiliated
We are your swords against the occupier
We are your olive tree on the hill…
For Al-Aqsa Mosque and the home, we welcome death
The great people of Palestine,
and Allah is with you, Allah”

Brother of Ibrahim Abu Thuraya: "Two days ago, when my brother sat down to eat with us, he said: 'Forgive me, my brother, this is the last night you’ll see me. You too, mother, forgive me. You too, my brothers, forgive me.' He kissed my father’s hand and foot and said to him: 'Forgive me, if I behaved badly to you, forgive me. This is it. This is the last night you are seeing me. Father, I have decided to die as a Martyr because I’m sick of life. This is it, I have no legs, nothing is left. This is it, I want to die and rest from this life.'"

Palestinian Information Center's Facebook page, Dec. 17, 2017
Mother of Ibrahim Abu Thuraya: "Praise Allah, he [Ibrahim] achieved Martyrdom and I’m proud of him. By Allah, he has made us proud. He wasn’t married. He wanted to marry, but I didn’t have the means to marry him off. He will marry dark-eyed virgins in Paradise... He said goodbye to us and left, saying, 'I want to die as a Martyr. This is it, I intend to die as a Martyr, farewell. Mother, take care of yourself. You have diabetes and high blood pressure. You’re going to be the mother of a Martyr and I will pray for you up above.' Praise Allah, he achieved what he wanted. He is [now] really a groom. His scent is musk."

Palestinian killed in clashes stated he was hoping to die, because "70 beauties are waiting for me"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 25, 2017
Headline: "Saba Abu Obeid: Sound cries of joy if I die as a Martyr"
"On the day of rage that was held on Friday, May 12, 2017, Saba Nidal Abu Obeid, 23, died as a Martyr (Shahid) after he was wounded by a gunshot to the chest. The bullet split his heart on the lands of Nabi Saleh village, north of Ramallah, during a procession of support for the prisoners waging the hunger strike...
'The greatest sacrifice a mother can bear is to separate from her son,' said the Martyr's grandmother. She added that one night she stayed awake with his mother, and he took food and sat at the room's entrance... [She said:] 'He asked me to sound cries of joy if he died as a Martyr. I told him: "Everyone who seeks Martyrdom-death (Shahada) is entitled to achieve it, but I want to marry you off and rejoice in your happiness." He told me: "Grandmother, 70 beauties are waiting for me in Paradise, why should I replace them with the women of this world (i.e., Islamic tradition teaches that a Shahid [Martyr] marries 72 Virgins in Paradise)?'"

PA daily: Terrorist killer "felt rage" over Israel's "attacks against those carrying out Ribat" and he "hoped to die a Martyr"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 13, 2016
Headline: “Martyr Ahmad Zakarneh – lover of Jerusalem”
“Indeed, the news of Ahmad’s death as a Martyr arrived. At the same moment the mother’s heart was relieved and she said: ‘Praise Allah.’ Everyone in the village rushed to the home of the Martyr’s family, and did not know whether to console [the family] over his death as a Martyr or express pride in his death in an operation of this type…
Ahmad was a young person who loved everyone, and everyone loved him. For a long time he had felt rage over the occupation’s attacks against those carrying out Ribat (i.e., religious conflict/war to protect land claimed to be Islamic) at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. He loved Jerusalem and hoped to die there as a Martyr, and he got what he wanted, according to his mother.”

“Amjad Jasser Al-Sukkari wrote two nights ago [Jan. 30, 2016] in a text that accompanied a picture on Facebook: ‘Every day we hear news of death, “forgive me,” maybe I’ll be next.’ And he wrote above: ‘Allah knows who is next and where! O Allah, our nation is witness to the fact that there is no one but Allah, and our Lord Muhammad is Allah’s messenger.’
In a different text that the Martyr (i.e., shooting terrorist and personal security guard of the PA General Attorney) wrote yesterday before going to the checkpoint, he said: ‘On this land there are things worth living for. However, regrettably, I do not see anything that justifies life as long as the occupation stops our breathing and kills our brothers and sisters. O Allah, have mercy on our Martyrs, heal our injured, and release our prisoners. You came before us, and we, Allah willing, will follow after you.’

Afterward he posted a last selfie taken on the way to the checkpoint, in which he turned to his friends saying: ‘Have a morning of victory, Allah willing. I bear witness that there is no God but Allah, and that our Lord Muhammad is his servant and messenger.’”

Hamas TV: Dead Gaza civilians are privileged to have died as Martyrs
Source: Al-Aqsa TV (Hamas), July 20, 2014

Hamas TV host: "Every soul has its time. These people - their time had come, and they were Martyred (i.e., Gaza civilians killed in war). They have gained [Paradise]. They have nothing in this world, especially in the Gaza Strip. There's no life in the Gaza Strip. What life can we have in the Gaza Strip? Being with Allah is better. Being with Allah is better. What we see is very hard but we won't surrender, Allah willing. The first to say it are the Martyrs' family. The first to say it are the Martyrs' mothers and fathers... Don't be disturbed by these images. He who was killed this way doesn't feel. By Allah, he does not feel. These are not my words, but the words of our beloved Prophet [Muhammad]: He who is Martyred doesn't feel. Only we suffer by these images. By Allah, [the Martyr] doesn't feel. His soul has ascended to Allah. His soul is with the Lord. His soul is inside a green bird. He is with Allah now. He is in Paradise. Only we suffer by these images... In other cities, in other countries, thousands die in earthquakes, floods, plane crashes, in ferry or shipwrecks, in natural or unnatural disasters. Thousands die. Thousands die but we don't know what their fate is with Allah. But we [in Gaza] are Martyrs. The enemy has killed us and we are Martyrs."
