PA opposes US budget committee's decision to condition US aid to PA on cessation of incitement
Source: Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 26, 2014
“The [PA] government has expressed its opposition to the US Congress budget committee’s [decision] to condition its support of the law for the continuation of American aid to the PA on the cessation of PA incitement against Israel, and to make the new American aid law contingent on a special, documented report, to be submitted to the committee, confirming that incitement against Israel has decreased.
The government emphasized that the true incitement is the Israeli government’s insistence on breaking international humanitarian laws and on violating international institution [decisions] and human rights.”
Israel, supported by the US, pursues an "aggressive" policy against the Palestinian people
Source: Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 21, 2014
“The Chairman of the [Palestinian] National Council (i.e., the legislative body of the PLO), Salim Al-Za'anoun, met with former Iranian president Heshami Rafsanjani in Tehran, the Iranian capital. Al-Za'anoun congratulated Rafsanjani, on behalf of the Palestinian people, on the 35th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Iranian revolution, and recalled having been beside the late President Arafat when the latter received [possession of the] the Palestinian embassy, which replaced the Israeli one. He also emphasized to his host, Rafsanjani, the Palestinians’ faith in the continuation of Iran’s support of the Palestinian cause, given its [Iran’s] position as a powerful Islamic axis nation in the region, and described to him the calamities the Palestinian people has been suffering as a result of the aggressive Israeli policy that is supported by the US- specifically, the continuation of settlement [construction], the siege that has been laid on Gaza and the threats to Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
Coup in Egypt "saved the Arab nations from the dark tunnel which the US government and other powers wanted"
Source: Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 18, 2014
From an interview with Tayeb Abd Al-Rahim, Secretary-General of the Presidential Office in the Egyptian newspaper, Al-Ahram:
“Q: ‘Did Hamas’ support of the Muslim Brotherhood and its interference in Egyptian affairs affect relations between the PA and Egypt?’
A: ‘We are convinced that what happened in Egypt (i.e., the military coup against the Muslim Brotherhood) is a miracle by any standards – [a miracle] that saved the Arab nations from the dark tunnel which the US government and other powers wanted under the heading of ‘a new Middle East.’
We condemn the damage Hamas caused Egypt’s national security, because this is a blow to the very core of Arab national security. Hamas is a part of the Muslim Brotherhood and has no inhibitions or red lines, and the Palestinian nation and its leadership firmly oppose any interference in Egyptian affairs.’”

Governor of Ramallah: “The West's plans” to “disperse Palestinian and Egyptians people have failed”
Source: Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 11, 2014
“District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Laila Ghannam emphasized that the efforts of some to disperse the Palestinian and Egyptian peoples in all directions have failed. She added that ‘The West’s plans against our civilization have not affected the kinship between the two nations.’
These remarks were made yesterday [Feb. 10, 2014] during her [Ghannam’s] farewell [address] to Egyptian Ambassador to the PA Yasser Othman, who has completed his term, at the seat of the district [government] in Ramallah.”
PA daily blames “the Israeli and American forces of evil” for internal fighting in Lebanon
Source: Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 8, 2014
“Anyone who goes back to the war (between Fatah al-Islam and the Syrian army) of the Nahr Al Bared refugee camp (near Tripoli, Lebanon) in May of 2007, whose after-effects can still [be felt], and [examines] its goals, will understand that the purpose of that insane war was to liquidate the refugee camp and expel its residents. These aims, however, were not fully achieved. This compelled the Israeli and American forces of evil, as well as the Arabs who follow them, to redo [now] the scenario using old-new means: the Takfir organizations (i.e., those defining other Muslims as unbelievers) falsely claim to want to protect the refugee camps, Jerusalem and the Islamic holy sites, by attacking Hezbollah and Syria…
Yet the refugee camps, the holy sites, Palestine and the Islamic religion have nothing to do with these organizations…
Furthermore, there are additional goals still on the agenda, including the establishment of a US military base in the village of Kleiat near Tripoli, close to the Syrian-Lebanese border, and maintaining the security of Israel.”
Palestinian National Council Chairman claims Arab world must counterbalance US support of Israel
Source: Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 2, 2014
“[Palestinian] National Council Chairman Salim Al-Za'anoun has called on parliaments around the world to declare their full support for President Mahmoud Abbas’ resolve, in order to combat the pressure and threats that Israel is voicing against him.
In a speech delivered before 53 Islamic legislative bodies at a meeting in Tehran, the Iranian capital, as a participant in the discussions of the ninth session of the union of parliaments from member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, [Al-Za'anoun] emphasized that the US’ tendency to favor Israel, as well as the financial, political and military support it provides it, must be answered by equal support of the Palestinian people by Islamic and Arab countries in order to achieve the necessary balance."

Fatah official: “America, more than Israel, is responsible for the failure of the peace process"
Source: YouTube, Jan. 27, 2014
Interview with Fatah Central Committee Member Azzam Al-Ahmad on Jordan TV’s Third Opinion program.
Al-Ahmad: “What has been accomplished so far [in the negotiations]? Nothing. On the contrary, we’ve gone backwards. In my opinion, Kerry’s approach is wrong. Kerry’s personal approach is wrong, so I say clearly: America, more than Israel, is responsible for the failure of the peace process.”
Host: “Because of their patronage.”
Al-Ahmad: “Not just because of their patronage, but because they favor Israel, because they pamper Israel, their spoiled child. What have they proposed? They’ve proposed ideas that have destroyed the understandings reached by Abbas, Condoleezza Rice and Olmert.”
...
Al-Ahmad: “Even if the United States gets angry at us, and wants to punish us and stop aid – our national rights are more important than having the United States smile at us. Therefore, we say that we too have the right to use all forms of struggle at the appropriate time, including the other forms of struggle - armed or not armed. "

The US and Israel are trying to destroy the Arab world
Source: Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Dec. 29, 2013
Columnist for official PA daily, Adel Abd Al-Rahman:
“The Egyptian regime’s decision to deem the Muslim Brotherhood ‘a terrorist organization’ did not come suddenly or as a result of a quick and arbitrary response. […]
[Interim Egyptian Prime Minister] Hazem Al-Beblawi’s government’s brave response drew contradictory responses, since the organization’s supporters in Arab and Islamic official and partisan circles announced their ‘condemnation of the decision’; while all moderate official, partisan and popular forces accepted this decision and even said that it came somewhat late. The general Arab tendency, however, welcomed this decision. The US – the Muslim Brotherhood’s ally – opposed the decision because it threatens its scenarios, especially because it still relies on the Brotherhood to play an important role later on, by creating mechanisms that will restore their [the Brotherhood’s] status in the official Arab regimes.
This [opposition is] due to their fear that the Egyptian decision constitutes a general Arab and regional attack among the regimes and nations that is meant to uproot the Brotherhood’s international organization, the capitalist West’s strategic ally and its tool for fragmenting the region’s nations and states. […]
The brave Egyptian decision necessitates uniting the efforts of all nationalists and democrats in the Arab world if they want to maintain the unity of their states and block the way for the US’ and Israel’s efforts and plans of destruction in the Arab region.”
The US is the “primary enemy” of the Arab and Islamic nation
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Dec. 22, 2013
Official PA TV Live broadcast the third conference of Fatah’s Lebanon branch.
Fatah Central Committee member and director of Fatah’s Foreign Branch Commission Jamal Muhaisen:

“We say to our Arab nation, of which many today have become an instrument for implementing the policy of the US, the primary enemy of our Arab nation and our Islamic nation, [an enemy] that is trying to turn the conflict from an Arab-Israeli [conflict] into a regional, sectarian and national conflict, in order to fragment the region even further, as a service to the Zionist entity, and so Israel will retain supremacy over all Arabs. We say to the American instruments, and to anyone who supported the unrealistic slogan ‘the Arab Spring’: This is the American autumn. This is an effort to destroy the potential for [establishing] an Arab nation and to divide the Arab nation according to the American plans. The time has come for stronger popular unification to deal with these plans. This doesn’t prevent the existence of an internal struggle to strengthen democracy and increase freedom for the nations that sometimes experience abuse and tyranny under various regimes.”

Colonialist and imperialist forces support Israel and the Zionist movement – “the strongest settlement occupation movement in the world”
Source: Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 26, 2013
By Muwaffaq Matar, regular columnist for the official PA daily:
“[The Chinese] nation took its place as leader of the world’s liberation movements. This [fact] made the leaders of billions of people in the Far East stand amazed in face of the Palestinian people’s struggle – [who are] small in number but enormous in its struggle – and our resolve in face of the Zionist movement; the strongest settlement occupation movement in the world, which is supported by mighty colonialist and imperialist forces, such as Britain, ever since the Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration) [was made] and during the [British] Mandate for Palestine period, and [by] the US, which took upon itself to provide all means of existence, power and fortitude for the occupation state (Israel) [parenthesis in original].”

Note: The Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917 was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild stating that “His Majesty's government view with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people” and is seen as the basis for later international commitments to establish the State of Israel.
PA daily columnist: The US purposefully stokes conflict in Arab world
Source: Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 21, 2013
By columnist for official PA daily Adel Abd Al-Rahman:
“The American objectives do not amount to neutralizing the Iranian nuclear issue – it [the US] has more long-term objectives, which are included in many scenarios of rebuilding the New Middle East. The American viewpoint was reinforced after the dramatic changes in the Arab Republic of Egypt, following the second revolution this past June 30 [2013], which were detrimental to the success of American-Israeli plans. Therefore, the American government resorted to the political option in its dealing with the Iranian nuclear issue, not only because of the crises shaking the American economy, but because the Obama administration believes that the ethnic bomb (i.e., the Sunni-Shiite conflict) is much greater and deeper (i.e., more effective) than a nuclear bomb...
[Conflicts] which the US invested fervent and costly efforts to ignite in Iraq – between the Republic of Iran and the Sunni-Arab States of the [Persian] Gulf [in particular], and states of the Arab world in general – in order to facilitate the process of ripping them to shreds and drawing their map in a way that will suit its [America’s] vital interests and Israel’s occupation interests...
[Iran] constitutes an ethnic and national danger to all nations in the Arab region, especially the Gulf states. This has enraged Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Kuwait and Bahrain and affected their alliance with the US. This conflict and this bomb are what the American regime desired, because the ethnic and religious bomb’s continued existence is more important than uranium enrichment, and this is what Israel has yet to understand.”
The US allied with the Muslim Brotherhood to create sectarian conflict in Arab world
Source: Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 16, 2013
PA daily regular columnist and member of the Fatah Leadership Committee in Gaza, Yahya Rabah:
“The plan that the Muslim Brotherhood joined, and the illegal alliance it has made with the US since 2004 and even earlier, as a way to implement the Creative Anarchy philosophy, as well as their [joining] the plan to overthrow the nation state in the Arab world by [creating] sectarian and ethnic divisions, whose maps are already drawn and that have been announced in a completely public manner, all this joining by the Muslim Brotherhood has been for nothing.”
PA TV: US created the “War of Terror myth” to increase its interference in other nations’ affairs
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Nov. 11, 2013
PA TV narrator: “On this day [Sept. 11] in 2001, the world woke up to what would become known as 09/11… These events were a milestone in modern history because they laid the foundation for the significant events that followed upon which the US based the ‘War on Terror’ myth. The ‘War on Terror’ became a means through which Washington increased its interference in the affairs of many nations around the globe.”

Senior PA official: US okayed Israel's killing of Arafat
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Nov. 10, 2013
Deputy-Secretary
of the Fatah Central Committee, Jibril Rajoub: "It's obvious that Israel wasn't alone [in killing Arafat]; the US was there. That fool known as [George] Bush took away Yasser Arafat's protection and gave [Israeli PM] Sharon the green light to liquidate Yasser Arafat."

Fatah to file lawsuit against Britain for the Balfour Declaration
Source: Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 7, 2013
From an article by Adli Sadeq, PLO Ambassador to India and regular columnist for the official PA daily.
“A group of our patriotic young people from Fatah outpaced our patriotic publicists (yours truly among them) in suggesting an original idea: filing a lawsuit against Britain, which gave Zionism the traitorous and ominous Balfour Promise (i.e., the Balfour Declaration.)...
For Britain to save itself in the face of German might during World War I, the Lloyd George government pinned its hopes on the United States’ entering the war as part of the British alliance. Balfour believed that only Chaim Weizmann could convince American President Woodrow Wilson to do so. The pay for Zionist service to the Lloyd George administration… was its issuing a promise of “a national home” (for the Jews) in our land, Palestine. Palestine was most appropriate in the eyes of a racist and imperialist person who was afraid that the Jews would move [instead] to Britain itself in large numbers. He wanted them to be of service to Britain -- outside the old continent (Europe). Herein lays the foundation for the British crime against the Palestinian nation and its homeland. This is the crime that must continuously be brought before international political and legal forums, especially because Britain continues to support Israel, and refused to recognize our right to be a non-member state at the UN on 22% of our historic homeland!”

PA daily op-ed expresses intense hatred of the US
Source: Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 31, 2013
Op-ed by Osama Al-Fara:
“America sees the Arabs as no more than a milk cow, giving its milk to others in abundance and obeying its owner’s instructions, with no right to object. It (the cow) has no will to rebel against its master, even if he treats it tyrannically and abuses it. America is no friend of the Arabs, but the Arabs have not categorized it as an enemy in order to protect themselves against its [America’s] malice…
The truth is that we hate America, but [we] treat it with friendship; we hate anyone who gets close to it, but we rush in to secretly knock on its doors; we burn its flag every time we are enraged, but apologize to it [America] for the actions of youth who are unaware of its stature; we call it ‘Satan’, but make pilgrimages to it; our blood boils when we hear it speak about human rights, but we ask it to treat us with patience; we are enraged by its actions, and then apologize to it; we hesitatingly condemn it but praise its greatness; it patronizes us, and we humble ourselves before it; it kills us day and night and we send flowers to pacify it; it throws our rights to its trash, and we stress the principle of obedience and listening to it.
Yes, we are weak in face of its power… It can bring down our presidents and determine who will rule us next, but the crystal clear truth is that its strength lies in our weakness, and that we and no one else enabled it to invade our bedrooms. It is we who requested its help to kill us… The time has come for its [the US-planned] Arab Spring to rouse us from our drunken stupor and for us to understand that obeying its orders will not assure us that we will remain in our positions and that the conspiracies it weaves against us eclipse the incredible inventions (i.e., technological inventions etc.) provided by its industry."
PA daily columnist supports view that Jews control US government and “distort public will” regarding Israel
Source: Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 29, 2013
Op-ed by Columnist for official PA daily Adel Abd Al-Rahman:
“Former Foreign Secretary of Britain Jack Straw dropped a heavy-weight political bombshell on the Israeli ethnic cleansing state in particular and also on the forces agreeing with it and supporting it regarding the option of eliminating the peace process. [He did so] when he presented the Global Diplomatic Forum, held in the British House of Commons, with a stance that is not considered new, but rather a confirmation of something certain. He said: ‘The obstacle to making peace in the Middle East’ is ‘the unlimited Jewish funds that control the American government and Congress and distort the public will.’ In addition, he added another factor, which is, ‘the German obsession with protecting Israel.’ […]
The legitimate Palestinian leadership must turn to decision makers in the US and Germany and demand that they end the unjustified and illegitimate support of the State of Israel, and put an end to their (the US/German) discriminatory policy favoring its [Israel’s] sabotaging policies and work to repair its [Israel’s] reckless policies that contradict historical, current and future facts. In addition, focus should be put on the German leadership, to pull it out of the complex that has stuck to it following what transpired in the Holocaust during the Second World War, especially since Germany has been paying dearly throughout the decades [during which] Israel was established and has remained. As a result of this policy, the price for Nazi Germany’s savagery and crimes was collected from the Arab and Palestinian people. This is something unacceptable according to any logic or law and is unacceptable according to the values of international, human and religious law."
Zaki: US will not succeed in destroying Syria and dividing the Arab nation
Source: Al-Ikhbariyah TV, Oct. 8, 2013
Member of Fatah Central Committee and Fatah Commissioner of Arab Relations and Relations with China Abbas Zaki was interviewed by Syrian Al-Ikhbariyah TV. The interview was posted on Youtube on Oct. 8, 2013.
Fatah Central Committee member Abbas Zaki: ‘First of all, we understand Syria’s position and importance well, and the importance of its unity, its people’s welfare, its army’s strength and its President’s honor. We, too -- in a Palestinian situation -- with Palestine’s importance, also live in an unusual situation. In these unusual conditions in which Syria is living and in which we live, it would be better for us to be aware, and for there to be coordination and cooperation in order to confront the difficult crises with which the Palestinian cause or Syria must deal… Thank Allah, I left [the meeting with Assad] confident that President Bashar Assad’s will, awareness and vision are capable of unifying the Syrians and capable of bringing them out of the crisis it is in in a suitable way.’ … Fatah Central Committee member Abbas Zaki: ‘I am telling our Arab nation: The US is not predestined. Here it is trembling and retreating. It destroyed Afghanistan, it destroyed Iraq, but it will not succeed in destroying Syria, because Syria chose strategic allies who have enthusiasm, willpower, vision and a real understanding of the aspirations of the US and the camp that is hostile towards the [Arab] nation that these [Arab] countries should have been divided. We will turn the Arabs into 151 countries so that Israel will remain the hegemonic power. I now call on the entire Arab nation to respect those who stand firm in face of any conspiracy, and crush that conspiracy.”
South Vietnamese military leader praised for “making Americans flee like mice”
Source: Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 7, 2013
Op-ed by regular columnist for PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida Hafez Al-Barghouti:
“General [Vo Nguyen] Giap has died. Hero of Vietnam’s war of independence and the defeat of French colonialism, he later led the war against American involvement in South Vietnam and succeeded in making the Americans flee like mice, with the American ambassador escaping Saigon on a helicopter that landed on top of the embassy…
With the death of the General who defeated two powerful countries without boasting about it, we can only bow out of [our] respect for him, because he alone was able to achieve this double victory with a nation with few capabilities and enormous willpower.”
