Fatah official: “There must be a comprehensive agreed upon national strategy;” Hamas official: “We are continuing our intifada against Trump’s decision [to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital]”

Headline: “Fatah: There is a need for one struggle strategy; Hamas: We will not stop the intifada”
“Head of the Information Office of the Fatah Movement’s Mobilization and Organization Commission Munir Al-Jaghoub said that there must be a comprehensive agreed upon national strategy regarding what is happening in Jerusalem and the West Bank.
Al-Jaghoub said in an interview with [the independent Palestinian news agency] Donia Al-Watan: ‘There must be a comprehensive struggle strategy with all of the national and Islamic activity factions in order to reach one result, and that is the realization of national independence and getting rid of the Israeli occupation.’ He added: ‘The strategy must operate on three fronts - the first: strengthening the popular resistance on the ground; the second: turning to the institutions of the international community; and the third: reconvening the Arab public in support of the Palestinian cause.’ […]
Hamas leader Dr. Ismail Radwan noted that the grave escalation that the Israeli occupation has carried out constitutes a continuation of the massacres and crimes against the Palestinian people.
He said: ‘We say to the Israeli occupation: Your crimes will not pass without a price and we will not stop the intifada for the freedom of Jerusalem and the West Bank, and we are continuing our intifada against [US President Donald] Trump’s decision [to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital], and this pure blood will be a curse upon him and fuel for the resistance.’ Radwan called on the Palestinian resistance in the West Bank to persecute the settlers in response to the aggression taking place in the cities.”

US recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel - On Dec. 6, 2017, US President Donald Trump formally recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and instructed the State Department to begin preparations to transfer the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Trump added that the final borders of Jerusalem will be determined during negotiations.
