PA security forces aided Hamas during Intifada

Contrary to the popular idea that the Palestinian Authority is pursuing a peace process with Israel and is opposed to the terrorism advocated openly by Hamas, Muhammad Dahlan, a senior PA (Fatah) official, here states openly that PA security forces hid and protected Hamas military leaders and fighters during the Intifada.

Muhammad Dahlan, Senior Fatah MP:
"Forty percent of the Martyrs in this Intifada [Terror campaign] belonged to the Palestinian security forces. The Palestinian security forces were those who protected and hid half of the Hamas [military] leadership and of the Hamas military force during the Intifada."
