Demonization of Jews/Israelis
Jews/Israelis are evil
Demonization of Jews/Israelis
Since the Palestinian Authority was established it has systematically indoctrinated young and old to hate Israelis and Jews. Using media, education, and cultural structures that it controls, the PA has actively promoted religious hatred, demonization, conspiracy libels, etc. These are packaged to present Israelis and Jews as endangering Palestinians, Arabs, and all humanity. This ongoing campaign has so successfully instilled hatred that fighting, murder and even suicide terror against Israelis and Jews are seen by the majority of Palestinians as justified self-defense and as Allah’s will. The PA presents Jews as possessing inherently evil traits. Jews are said to be treacherous, corrupt, deceitful and unfaithful by nature. These Jewish “attributes” and traditions are presented as the unchangeable nature of Jews. Forgeries and fiction masquerading as history are used to document and support the libel that Judaism is in essence racist and evil. Jews are said to be planning and executing heinous crimes, including burning Palestinians in ovens, murder, using prisoners for Nazi-like experiments, and more. If unchecked, these crimes constitute a mortal danger, not only to all Muslims and Arabs but to all of humanity.

The PA assigns responsibility to the Jews for all the problems in the world: Wars, conflicts and civil wars are all said to be triggered by Jews. Indeed, the oppression suffered by Jews throughout history is presented as the legitimate response of nations seeking revenge for the injury caused them by the Jews living among them. The creation of the State of Israel is said to have been a European plot, in order to be rid of their Jews and save Europe from the evil of Jewish presence in their countries.

The following are examples of Palestinian demonization:

PA Ministry of Foreign Affairs: "Netanyahu's government continues to light racist fires”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 28, 2016
Headline: “[PA] Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Netanyahu’s government continues to light racist fires”
“The [PA] Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated: ‘Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the heads of his coalition took advantage of the current wave of fires in Israel to launch an offensive of statements and positions contaminated by racism and full of hatred against the Palestinians and Arabs, while accusing them of being behind [the wave of fires].’
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified yesterday in a statement: ‘These accusations were directed [at the Palestinians and Arabs] even before any investigations were launched. This is part of an inciting and racist systematic Israeli policy, to which the right and extremist right are turning in an attempt to falsely accuse the Palestinians of ‘the sabotage and terror,’ to divert attention from the internal problems that Netanyahu and his coalition are dealing with, and to increase the extremism in Israeli society and broaden the circle of supporters of the right within Israel.’
It [the ministry] noted that the fires in the West Bank broke out in places that from the outset were marked as targets by the occupation and the settlement enterprise, and which are constantly subjected to repeated attacks by the settlers – which testifies to Israel’s intentions to get its hands on those places, and helps to link the fires in the West Bank with the daily attacks by the settlers and the occupation army.
The ministry added: ‘Likewise, this strengthens the assumption that some of the fires that broke out in the West Bank were deliberately set by people in extremist groups of settlers in order to complete their takeover of these areas.’”

PA Foreign Ministry criticises Israel for supposedly not publicly thanking Palestinians for helping fight fires
Source: Donia Al-Watan (independent Palestinian news agency), Nov. 28, 2016
“The Palestinian [PA] Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that despite the historical injustice that the Palestinian people has experienced, its modest means, its great suffering because of the Israeli occupation and its abominable acts... our people did not hesitate to contribute to the efforts to put out the fires in Israel... The statement added: ‘...senior [Israeli] officials chose to respond in a lowly and inappropriate way to the Palestinian participation, in an attempt to erase the humanitarian role fulfilled by the State of Palestine before the world.’
In the statement it was noted that the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a statement on its social media pages, in which it thanked the countries that participated in the efforts to put out the fires. However, it did not thank the State of Palestine, and did not put its flag next to the flags of the participating countries and the countries that offered aid, and just made do with a marginal reference at the bottom of the page to ‘aid from the PA’...”

Op-ed in the official PA daily: Israel’s difficulty with fires is sign of weakness and the “nakedness of the Israeli death state has been exposed”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 27, 2016
Headline: “The fragility of the [Israeli] home front ”
Excerpt of an op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist of the official PA daily
“The fires (i.e., a wave of suspected Palestinian arson attacks in November 2016) that are spreading in the greater part of historical Palestine – upon which arose the Israeli colonialism state – have exposed the collapse of the status of the State of Sparta (i.e., Israel, implying violence and militarism)…
This is not the first time that the nakedness of the Israeli death state has been exposed. The fires have exposed the fragility of the [Israeli] home front and the helplessness of the state that is armed to the teeth with a military arsenal that surpasses its demographic capabilities…
Every political or security observer who will analyze [the situation] objectively will easily discern that Israel is a most fragile and weak state, whose home front suffers from a deep structural defect, which is in no way consistent with its Spartan military structure...”

Official PA daily op-ed: Israelis will emigrate, seeing Israel's weakness in fighting wildfires and since the “Israeli Jew does not adhere to the land"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 27, 2016
Headline: “A tenuous scenario for fires”
Excerpt of an op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for the official PA daily
“The fires (i.e., a wave of suspected Palestinian arson attacks in November 2016) are not the result of an intentional act, but rather were caused as a result of the negligence of visitors to parks and forests. The winds, their velocity, and the low percentage of humidity were factors that helped in their expansion and increased the speed of their spread to adjacent areas.
However, this negligence has revealed the emptiness of the Israeli state and its civil defense forces, despite the previous warnings. Likewise exposed was the weakness of the home front , which apparently is unfit for this kind of simple coping with the flames, not to mention with a large number of rockets…
Some Israelis will turn to the option of reverse migration as a result of the sense of a lack of personal security – not only as a result of war operations (i.e., terror attacks), but also due to a lack of Israeli internal guarantees. This is particularly because the Israeli Jew does not adhere to the land, and is interested in [national] belonging only because of his personal interests.”

PA daily: Israeli media is racist and commiting incitement for reporting on arrest of suspected Palestinian arsonists
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 25, 2016
Headline: “An evacuation of tens of thousands from the city of Haifa as a result of the fires, and senior Israeli officials light the fire of racism”
“Tens of thousands were evacuated yesterday [Nov. 24, 2016] from their houses in the city of Haifa as a result of the forest fires at the outskirts of the city that have continued for the past three days (i.e., a suspected wave of Palestinian arson attacks in November 2016)… The Israeli incitement has reached such a level that the [Israeli news] website Yediot Aharonot chose ‘The Fire Intifada’ as a main headline for many hours, and afterwards replaced it with a headline no less foolish – ‘The Israeli Security Agency is Investigating: Fire Terror.’ The incitement was not only on a news website, but rather included most of the Israeli media. What stands out in the announcements and leaks to the Israeli media is the talk not only about perpetrators but rather also about those who are termed ‘inciters’ to arson (i.e., several Palestinian suspects have been arrested for calling for arson attacks on social media).”

Israel expert to Palestinian news agency: Some fires may have been set by Palestinians who were reacting to Israel`s alleged "racist"policies
Source: Donia Al-Watan (independent Palestinian news agency), Nov. 24, 2016
Headline: “Experts to Donia Al-Watan: Netanyahu failed to conquer the fires and blamed the Palestinians for lighting them!”
“Israel affairs expert Dr. Adnan Abu Amar noted that the fires in Israel (i.e., a wave of suspected Palestinian arson attacks in November 2016) are a constant thing, and said that the claims of [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu are an attempt to receive the sympathy of the Israelis on the one hand, and on the other hand they are due to his understanding that he got into trouble due to the inability of his forces to put out the fires… Abu Amar did not rule out the possibility that it was carried out deliberately by a number of young Palestinians riled up due to the racist acts of the occupation, the latest of which was the ban [on sounding] the call to prayer in the Jerusalem mosques (in reference to the ‘Muezzin Law’ that applies to all of Israel, not just Jerusalem; see note -Ed.).”

On Nov. 13, 2016, a bill to ban religious institutions from broadcasting over loudspeakers was approved for a preliminary reading in the Israeli Parliament. The bill is intended to prevent noise pollution. This bill is referred to by many as the "Muezzin Law," although it does not refer to any specific religion.
Other countries have already approved or attempted legislation for regulating the use of loudspeakers in mosques in order to limit noise pollution. These include India, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Turkey, Bahrain, the United Emirates, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, France, the UK, Austria, Norway, and Belgium, and the US. The PA has also passed legislation regarding the use of loudspeakers in mosques in order to reduce noise pollution.
PNC: During Israel’s establishment, “most atrocious massacres were committed against our people, and... our people were expelled from its land by the Zionist gangs, under the auspices… of the British Mandate government”

Headline: “The National Council demands that Britain atone for the sin of the Balfour Promise"
“The Palestinian National Council (i.e., the legislative body of the PLO) demanded that Britain, which gave the ominous Balfour Promise (i.e, Declaration), bear the legal and moral responsibility for all the tragedies that have befallen the Palestinian people…
Likewise the council demanded that the Palestinian and Arab institutions, the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement, and everyone who identifies with us support the call of [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas to submit a lawsuit against the government of Britain for issuing the Balfour Promise…
[The National Council added that] this unprecedented British promise was the main reason that hundreds of thousands of Jews were expelled to Palestine and established settlements in it, that the most atrocious massacres were committed against our people, and that our people were expelled from its land by the Zionist gangs, under the auspices and with the support of the British Mandate government.”

PLO official: Balfour Declaration "constituted the basis for all of the injustices... committed against the Palestinian people, as well as the Palestinian holocaust that has been continuing for the past 100 years”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 1, 2016
Headline: “National condemnation of the Balfour Promise, and the [PLO] Department for Refugee Affairs prepares to launch a campaign against the ominous promise”
“PLO Executive Committee member and Director of the [PLO] Department for Refugee Affairs Tayseer Khaled called on all Palestinians of all political and ideological affiliations in the Palestinian Interior (i.e., Palestinian term for Israel), the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, the refugee camps, and the countries of the exile and the diaspora to unite around the national campaign denouncing the colonialist Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration).
This is for the approaching 100th anniversary of this promise, which constituted the basis for all of the injustices that the Zionist movement and the State of Israel committed against the Palestinian people, as well as the Palestinian holocaust that has been continuing for the past 100 years before the eyes and ears of the international community.”

The Balfour Declaration of Nov. 2, 1917 was a letter from British Foreign Secretary Arthur Balfour to Baron Rothschild stating that “His Majesty's government views with favour the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people” and is seen as the basis for later international commitments to establish the State of Israel.
PA daily: Israel poisoned Arafat and is likely to assassinate Abbas
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 29, 2016
Headline: "Liberman and the replacement game"
Excerpt of op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for the official PA daily
"Israeli Minister of Death (sic., Minister of Defense) Avigdor Liberman gave an extensive political interview to the Al-Quds newspaper that is published in Jerusalem on Monday, last Oct. 24 (sic., 2016), in which he attacked [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas and called to 'replace him' with a new leadership…
Anyone who will go back and review what happened to the late president, the symbol Yasser Arafat (that in a few days it will be 12 years since his death as a Martyr) [parentheses in source], can understand the Israeli method of dealing with the Palestinian leaders in general and with the decision makers in particular. There is no need to remind the Palestinians and the Israelis of the cruel campaign against the symbol Yasser Arafat until he was brought for burial after being poisoned by the Israeli intelligence and the mercenary henchmen."

Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman gave an interview to the Palestinian newspaper
Al-Quds on Oct. 24, 2016, in which he said he supports the two-state solution and promised to build a port and airport in Gaza if Hamas stops rearming and attacking Israel.

Fatah official claims Israel plotting to kill Abbas, like it killed Arafat

He added and warned of the dangers of the second stage that has also already begun, with the talk about the legitimacy of [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas, and noted that it is liable to be a political assassination operation, after which will come a physical assassination. Likewise, he mentioned the signs preceding the assassination of the leader, president, and symbol Yasser Arafat (That Israel assassinated Arafat is a common Palestinian libel and claim that has been disproven –Ed.)…"

PA council: "The blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the buildings adjacent to it are about to collapse at any moment" due to Israeli excavations
Source: Ma’an, independent Palestinian news agency, Oct. 27, 2016
Headline: “The [PA] Fatwa Council warned against the collapse of the Al-Aqsa Mosque”
“The [PA] Palestinian Supreme Fatwa Council condemned the invasions by the Jewish extremists into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque plaza (i.e., the Temple Mount), which have increased after the UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) resolution that determined that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque belongs to the Muslims and negated any connection between the Israeli occupation and the mosque, with its walls, plazas, and lower parts.
The council condemned the personal participation of the occupation’s [Israeli] Prime Minister [Benjamin Netanyahu] in the excavation activities that are held under the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque (sic., see note below), and the decision of the occupation government’s [Israel] Antiquities Authority that calls on every Jewish youth before [army] enlistment to take part in excavations under the Al-Aqsa Mosque as they are a national obligation (sic., see note below). This is in addition to the participation of settler associations in searches for remnants of the alleged Temple in an attempt to prove any sort of presence of theirs in Jerusalem and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. Likewise, the council clarified that these excavations herald [the fact] that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the buildings adjacent to it are about to collapse at any moment, Heaven forbid...
These statements were made during the 145th meeting of the council, led by [PA] Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories and Supreme Fatwa Council Head Sheikh Muhammad Hussein.”

PA daily: "Zionist gangs" expelled Palestinian refugees at establishment of the "Israeli ethnic cleansing state"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 25, 2016
Headline: "Us, the UN, and its anniversary"
Excerpt from op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for the official PA daily
"Yesterday [Oct. 24, 2016] a ceremony was held in Ramallah for the 71st anniversary of the establishment of the UN…
As the organization (i.e., the UN) was starting out, the Nakba (i.e., “the catastrophe,” Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) of the Palestinian Arab people took place in May 1948. On Nov. 29, 1947, the organization adopted [UN] Resolution 181, regarding the division of historical Palestine – the land and homeland of the Palestinian Arab people – into two states (the Partition Plan, rejected by Arab leaders and governments –Ed.). One of them was named Israel, the colonialist pawn and spearhead of the capitalist West, [which the UN] allowed to exist, and gave it all that was needed in order to survive and live so as to serve its purposes, but [as opposed to this] it prevented the establishment of the Palestinian Arab people’s state, and through pretexts and ridiculous excuses did not allow the return of 800,000 Palestinian refugees, who were exiled by the Zionist gangs that occupied their land...
One of the main goals for the establishment of the organization was to guard 'human rights,' and they established this by publishing the 'Universal Declaration of Human Rights' in 1948. [However,] these are the same states that caused a new global tragedy that same year, by establishing the Israeli ethnic cleansing state…
They established on the land [of the Palestinians] a rogue outlaw state, the State of Israel, and brought to it all of the Jews of different nationalities, who accepted the false and fabricated Zionist narrative and aligned with it."

PA-funded children's magazine story features "racist" Israeli soldier attacking Palestinians at bus stop
Source: Zayzafuna magazine, Oct. 23, 2016
Headline: "Racist attack"
"Fadwa sat in front of the TV and saw the terrible scene: An Israeli soldier gets out of a car, draws near to three Palestinian workers who were standing and waiting for a bus, hits them with the butt of his rifle, and kicks them with his feet.
Why? Because they are Palestinians.
Fadwa was shocked by what she saw. She recalled her eraser that erases the enemy's soldiers, put her hand in her pocket, and did not find it. She ran to her bag and took out the eraser.
She stood ready in front of the TV in order to erase the attacking soldier, but he had already got in his car that took him far away, and the workers remained on the sidewalk waiting for the bus.
Fadwa's father shouted angrily: 'That is racism.'
Her mother shouted: 'That is a despicable attack.'
Fadwa hid the eraser in her pocket, and afterwards fell asleep and dreamed about a free homeland without racists."
[Jomana Al-Rommanah and Other Stories, Zayzafuna collection of children's stories, 2016]

Zayzafuna is a PLO magazine for children partially funded by the PA. The magazine, which includes material written by both the magazine’s staff and child readers, represents the values of the educators and serves as a window into the minds of the Palestinian children submitting material to the magazine. Zayzafuna's website states that the magazine's advisory board is comprised of PA officials and educators, including Jihad Zakarneh, PA Deputy Minister of Education, and Abd Al-Hakim Abu Jamous, Head of the Media Department at the PA Ministry of Education. Since September 2015, Zayzafuna included a note on its second page thanking the PA Ministry of Finance for its financial support of the magazine (true as of the time of this writing). In May 2011, the Deputy Chairman of the Zayzafuna organization Abd Al-Karim Ziyada explained on PA TV that

Palestinian child: “Allah will take revenge on the Jews.”
Official PA TV host Walaa Al-Battat: “No, dear. Our problem is not the Jews. We love all of the monotheistic religions. This is the land of the monotheistic religions. Our problem is not with the [Jewish] religion. Our problem is the Zionist entity that kills our children, takes our lands, harms our properties, and destroys our homes. We have no problem with the Jews, you understand?”

Palestinian girl recites a poem entitled “So what.”
PMW note: The term "so what" is a reference to a hashtag that appeared on Palestinian social media as a slogan used to encourage Palestinians to continue rioting, throwing rocks and using violence against Israelis during the wave of Palestinian terror attacks 2015-2016. "#so_what" is a Palestinian response that makes light of Israel's alleged crimes, showing that Palestinians don't care. It also implies that no matter what Israel does, the Palestinians will continue not to care, and they will continue to riot, throw rocks, carry out stabbing attacks etc. The words refer to a video that went viral, showing an elderly Palestinian man arguing with Israeli soldiers. A soldier points to rioting Palestinians, saying: "They're throwing rocks at us." The old man replies: "So what, let them throw rocks."

Fatah official appreciates UNESCO resolution during "difficult period in which the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem are subjected to the dangers of Judaization and ... even ethnic cleansing"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 20, 2016
Headline: “Hamad expressed appreciation for the UNESCO resolution to recognize Jerusalem as an Islamic heritage”
“Fatah Central Committee member Amal Hamad said that the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) resolution to recognize East Jerusalem as a pure Islamic heritage is a return of the right to its owner, a slap on the cheek of the Israeli occupation, and a refuting of its claims that it has been marketing for many decades through its enormous communications mechanism.
Hamad added that this resolution is very important, particularly in this difficult period in which the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem are subjected to the dangers of Judaization and settlement, and even to ethnic cleansing.
She emphasized that the resolution comes in order to limit the arrogance of the occupation, and the continuation of its seizing control over everything that is Palestinian and the theft of Islamic history and culture in the holy city [of Jerusalem].”

UNESCO passed a resolution in Paris on “Occupied Palestine” on Oct. 13, 2016, with 24 countries voting in favor, 6 against, and 24 abstentions. The resolution was later approved by UNESCO's World Heritage Committee on Oct. 26, 2016, in a secret ballot in which ten countries voted in favor of the resolution, two opposed, eight abstained, and one country, Jamaica, was absent.
In the resolution UNESCO refers to the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism, only as “Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif,” and presents it only as a “Muslim holy site.” For more details about the resolution, click "full article."
Op-ed in PA daily: Israel creates “the international organized terror” and “nourishes and supports” Islamic terror organizations like ISIS
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 20, 2016
Headline: "ISIS' crime against the Martyrs"
Op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for the official PA daily
"The Martyrs (Shahids) are more noble and honorable than all of us together. They are candles of the path of liberation and return and bearers of the flag of the cause and the people. They are pioneers of self-sacrifice who do not differentiate between 'I' and 'we.' They have risen to the highest levels of integration with the expectations, desires, and goals of the people. Their giving has no boundaries. No comparison can be made between Martyrdom (Shahada, death for Allah) and units of measurement, as self-sacrifice is greater than all the assessments and descriptions…
The tombstones of those who wrote the most spectacular epics in the national history and wrote with their pure blood the most pure, sublime, and glorious pages on the people's golden list have been destroyed by the ISIS Takfiris (i.e., Muslims who accuse other Muslims of heresy) in the cemetery of Martyrs (Shahids) in the Al-Yarmouk refugee camp southeast of the Syrian capital of Damascus, which is still under their rule."

PA daily: "The racism of Israel is burning its fingers" like the "blind racism of the Nazis"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 20, 2016
Headline: “The racism of Israel is burning its fingers”
Excerpt of op-ed by Bassem Barhoum
“Israel is a state that has lost its sense of sight and discernment. Therefore, I do not rule out that the day will soon come when we will see the Zionist racists and extremists who rule in Israel burning the books of the new Israeli historians and every book that talks objectively about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in the city squares.
Who expected that the Germans would burn the books of [Karl] Marx and the rest of the thinkers and philosophers in the center of Berlin, and yet the blind racism of the Nazis led to this.
This caused me to consider the possibility that a scenario like this could happen as a response of the blind racism of the Israeli politicians to the participation and positions of representatives of the B’Tselem organization and the Americans for Peace Now association in the advisory meeting of the [UN] Security Council, which was held last Friday [Oct. 14, 2016] under the title Illegal Israeli Settlements: A Threat to Peace and the Two-State Solution.”
Fatah: IS is a "product of the Zionist enterprise" carrying out the will of "racist rabbis"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 18, 2016
Headline: “The [Palestinian] National Council condemns the attack by an ISIS gang on the Martyrs’ graves in Al-Yarmouk”
“Fatah added: ‘It is already clear that IS, which caused the destruction of the Al-Yarmouk refugee camp and the uprooting of hundreds of thousands from it, is currently turning its barbarity and crimes against the Martyr leaders of the [Palestinian] National Liberation Movement (i.e., Fatah) and against its fighters. In this way it is proving that it is a partner to the absolute hostility together with the racist occupation Zionist enterprise, in order to destroy every Palestinian national remnant and to implement the plot whose goal is to cause the Palestinians to emigrate for the second and third time, far from the borders of their eternal homeland of Palestine.’
Fatah emphasized: ‘The names of the fighters – leaders and soldiers alike – will continue to serve as torches, as the criminal mentality of IS will not succeed in putting out their lights, even if their gravestones are shattered and even if their pure bones are swept away, because the history of the Palestinian national movement is too magnificent to be harmed by a criminal blood-spilling terror organization, which is in fact a product of the Zionist enterprise. [This enterprise] has denied the right of the Palestinians to live; it has persecuted them while they were alive and it is persecuting them as Martyrs through many means, prime among them IS. What [IS] is doing in the Al-Yarmouk refugee camp is exactly what is wanted by the racist rabbis, who wished for the death of all the Palestinians and labeled our people with racist expressions.’”
