| Demonization of Jews/Israelis |
Since the Palestinian Authority was established it has systematically indoctrinated young and old to hate Israelis  and Jews. Using media, education, and cultural structures that it controls, the PA has actively promoted religious hatred, demonization, conspiracy libels, etc. These are packaged to present Israelis and Jews as endangering Palestinians, Arabs, and all humanity. This ongoing campaign has so successfully instilled hatred that fighting, murder and even suicide terror against Israelis and Jews are seen by the majority of Palestinians as justified self-defense and as Allah’s will. The PA presents Jews as possessing inherently evil traits. Jews are said to be treacherous, corrupt, deceitful and unfaithful by nature. These Jewish “attributes” and traditions are presented as the unchangeable nature of Jews. Forgeries and fiction masquerading as history are used to document and support the libel that Judaism is in essence racist and evil. Jews are said to be planning and executing heinous crimes, including burning Palestinians in ovens, murder, using prisoners for Nazi-like experiments, and more. If unchecked, these crimes constitute a mortal danger, not only to all Muslims and Arabs but to all of humanity.
The PA assigns responsibility to the Jews for all the problems in the world: Wars, conflicts and civil wars are all said to be triggered by Jews. Indeed, the oppression suffered by Jews throughout history is presented as the legitimate response of nations seeking revenge for the injury caused them by the Jews living among them. The creation of the State of Israel is said to have been a European plot, in order to be rid of their Jews and save Europe from the evil of Jewish presence in their countries.

I, true, the interviewer [from the Al-Mayadeen TV station] asked me and I answered in the same manner and with those words and even now I say to the Israelis, if there won’t be a reexamination of your conduct on your part, a saying in Hebrew states: ‘kill or be killed,’ we won’t be killed, we’re not Jesus, true, we come from Jesus’ apostles but we, our future and our government and our identity are being trampled under the criminal terrorist settler dogs’ feet. I’m certain that if Hitler would come again he would learn from them the art of breaking the will of the people, humiliating the people, [making the] people suffer, destroying the people and massacres...
The world today has begun to be convinced that we are a victim and that they are the criminals and hangmen. Under the rays of the sun Israel has been revealed to be a foreign and threatening body that threatens the region’s independence, threatens the world’s peace and threatens the world’s values and interests.”

“During its meeting yesterday chaired by Prime Minister Salam Fayyad, the government declared that the fact that the occupation government is acting persistently – especially as regards maltreatment of prisoners, the policy of medical negligence, and targeting civilians – reflects [its] determination to generate tension…
The government again expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of prisoner Abu Hamdiya, to the prisoners in general, and to our people [whether] in the homeland or abroad. It stressed that the Martyr (Shahid) Abu Hamdiya’s contribution to our people’s struggle for freedom and independence will remain an important part of our people’s national memory.”
Note: Maysara Abu Hamdiya was a Palestinian prisoner who died at age 64 of throat cancer while being treated at the Israeli Soroka Hospital in April 2013. He had been arrested in 2002 and was convicted of recruiting and training terrorists, manufacturing and supplying weapons to, as well as securing funding for, terrorist organizations.

“Day after day the Israeli occupation proves that it is the number one enemy of humanity in the world, who turns the ideology of occupation, settlement and racist mentality into its doctrine and life’s project, without any moral or humanitarian restraint. This is the reason it is full of fear, racism and dread and refuses to view its true colors, as depicted by the artist’s paint brush or the writer’s pen, who expose its policy in public, tell the absolute truth and [portray] the great suffering experienced by the Palestinian people because of the occupation’s policy, even if we are speaking of a caricature criticizing the tyranny, oppression and organized terror [it performs]. For this reason, artist and painter Muhammad Saba’aneh, possessing the beautiful national and moral voice, was arrested by the occupation’s authorities and army, because he was one of the targets of the occupation’s army that suffered from the paint brush of the artist who painted the concerns of the homeland and citizens and publicly and authentically exposed the occupation’s activities and abominable policy.”
Note: Caricaturist Muhammad Saba’aneh was arrested by Israel following a visit to Jordan, fined 10,000 shekels and sentenced to five months in prison for “contact with hostile elements.”

"Whoever has been following the [Israeli 2013] election campaign of the bloc comprised of the Likud-Yisrael Beyteinu, the Bayit HaYehudi, and Shas parties as well as the centrist parties (Labour, Yesh Atid, and Kadima) [sees that] the Israeli arena lacks any political vision that can foresee a solution [to the Israel-Palestine conflict], and that it is following the fascist trends of the right-wing parties. Even the forces aligned with what is called the left ('Hatnua', for example), in spite of their rigor [in promoting] a two-state solution, they continue to cling to Zionist anti-peace goals in that they refuse [to allow] refugees to return and insist that the Palestinians recognize the 'Jewishness' of the state!
The difficulty that emerges from the [common] policy of the various Israeli political forces, especially the right-wing forces, shows that the country of ethnic cleansing is descending towards fascism and towards triggering war in the region. “A children’s performance in Khan Yunis yesterday [Dec. 13, 2012] provided a live description of the Israeli occupation’s crimes against Palestinian children.
Five children, three of them girls, managed to portray the true reality and the criminal face of the occupation that during most of its recent aggression aimed to kill and wound children and spread fear among them. The short show dealt with five children who were playing in their yard, when suddenly surprised by an Israeli helicopter that fired two missiles directly at them. One of the girls died a Martyr’s death, and the four who managed to escape were saved, leaving the Martyr (Shahida) girl behind them, wrapped in a shroud, on the ground.
The performance sounded the sirens from ambulances trying to reach the Martyr girl, but were unable to do so because of the Israeli helicopters overhead. Suddenly, her four friends burst back on the scene and forcibly took her fresh corpse, after wrapping it in a Palestinian flag, and carried her off singing ‘Breeze of the Land,’ a national song.”

“In a wire sent to the Al-Salaymeh family, President Mahmoud Abbas expressed his grief on hearing of the Martyrdom death of young Muhammad Al-Salaymeh, who was killed by occupation soldiers in the center of Hebron.
In his wire the President said: ’We were greatly pained to hear of the Martyrdom death of the young man and dear son Muhammad Ziyad Al-Salaymeh, who was murdered in cold blood by the despicable occupation army, and whose pure spirit went up to the heavens of praise.’
The President went on: ‘As we condemn and denounce this abominable crime, one of a series of crimes and part of the occupation army’s policy of daily killing against our unarmed people aimed at terrifying us, we express our faith that our nation standing strong in its homeland will continue to stand strong on its land, and that these crimes will not dissuade it from clinging to its rights, nor from its standing strong on the soil of its homeland, nor from its struggle for the freedom of our people and our holy places, and the establishment of its independent state, with Jerusalem as its capital.”
Note: Muhammad Al-Salaymeh was a 17-year old who was shot by an Israeli border policewoman when he pulled a metal toy pistol and pointed it at the head of an Israeli soldier in Hebron on December 12, 2012.

“The Bir Zeit University Debate Club, together with the Institute for Women’s Studies, yesterday held the eleventh session of its series of regular debates under the heading ’There is no contradiction between implementing Islamic law and maintaining a civil state.’
The debate centered around a discussion that became heated between the two sides – the side supporting the idea that ’there is no contradiction between implementing Islamic law and maintaining a civil state’ presented by Samih Hamouda who teaches political science at the university, and the opposing side presented by Majid Shehadeh who teaches international relations...
The opposing position, [presented by Dr. Majid] Shehadeh … relied on the moral view that ‘Israel’ is a religious state, but is an immoral state committing atrocities that violate human compassion and discriminates against the other ‘who is not Jewish.’ Shahadah claimed that on the basis of our repudiation of the idea of a Jewish state, we must repudiate the idea of an Islamic state. He added, ‘In an Islamic state, a Christian or a woman cannot serve as head of state, for a dhimmi (i.e., a Jew or a Christian) may not rule over a Muslim, and a woman may not rule over a man, so how could there be a civil state if its starting point discriminates among citizens?’
At the end of the debate and after hearing questions and comments from the audience, the side supporting [the proposition that there is no contradiction between implementing Islamic law and maintaining a civil state] won 62.8% of the vote, versus 37.2% who opposed. It should be noted that the Debate Club system gives equal weight to the audience and to the judges when determining winners, and the supporters of the proposition won only 23.8 % of the judges’ votes versus 26.5% for the opposition, whereas the audience voted 78% in favor and 22% against.”

“The President’s [Abbas’] office today, Wednesday evening, condemned the occupation forces’ criminal killing of young Muhammad Al- Al-Salaymeh? who was shot near the Tareq Bin Ziyad School in Hebron.
[An announcement from the Presidency] went on to say, ’We in the Palestinian Authority denounce this aggressive act, and we hold the right-wing occupation government and its army fully responsible for this bloody escalation and racism, and all their consequences. It reinforces our belief that the extremist right-wing government in Israel is trying to drag the region into a new cycle of violence, so that it can pursue its hobby – murder and destruction.’
In its press release, the President’s office added, ‘The killing, destruction, and the settlements, and the bloody aggression of the right-wing government in Israel, make us more likely to turn to the International Criminal Court and its commissions, as well as to [other] international courts and organizations whose duty it is to protect civilians.’”
