Demonization of Jews/Israelis
Jews/Israelis are evil
Demonization of Jews/Israelis
Since the Palestinian Authority was established it has systematically indoctrinated young and old to hate Israelis and Jews. Using media, education, and cultural structures that it controls, the PA has actively promoted religious hatred, demonization, conspiracy libels, etc. These are packaged to present Israelis and Jews as endangering Palestinians, Arabs, and all humanity. This ongoing campaign has so successfully instilled hatred that fighting, murder and even suicide terror against Israelis and Jews are seen by the majority of Palestinians as justified self-defense and as Allah’s will. The PA presents Jews as possessing inherently evil traits. Jews are said to be treacherous, corrupt, deceitful and unfaithful by nature. These Jewish “attributes” and traditions are presented as the unchangeable nature of Jews. Forgeries and fiction masquerading as history are used to document and support the libel that Judaism is in essence racist and evil. Jews are said to be planning and executing heinous crimes, including burning Palestinians in ovens, murder, using prisoners for Nazi-like experiments, and more. If unchecked, these crimes constitute a mortal danger, not only to all Muslims and Arabs but to all of humanity.

The PA assigns responsibility to the Jews for all the problems in the world: Wars, conflicts and civil wars are all said to be triggered by Jews. Indeed, the oppression suffered by Jews throughout history is presented as the legitimate response of nations seeking revenge for the injury caused them by the Jews living among them. The creation of the State of Israel is said to have been a European plot, in order to be rid of their Jews and save Europe from the evil of Jewish presence in their countries.

The following are examples of Palestinian demonization:

Director of PLO Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs: Israel’s “crimes” against Palestinian prisoners “are considered war crimes and crimes against humanity”

“Director of PLO Commission of Prisoners’ and Released Prisoners Affairs Issa Karake briefed a delegation of Palestinians from Chile regarding the prisoners’ cause, and gave them a detailed explanation of all the crimes and attacks against them [the prisoners], which are considered war crimes and crimes against humanity… At the end of the meeting, the delegation gave the head of the commission a symbolic gift in the form of a sports uniform on which a map of Palestine is printed.”

Op-ed in PA daily implicitly compares Israeli government to Nazis
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 26, 2016
Headline: “Those who pass between fleeting words”
Op-ed by Jihad Al-Khazen, originally published in the London-based Al-Hayat newspaper
“The terrorist [Israeli Prime Minister] Benjamin Netanyahu promises not to give up the Golan. I say to him (through a third party because I cannot speak with him) [parentheses in source] that Tel Aviv is not his. The Golan is part of Syria, and all of Israel is occupied Palestine… What I say is that the occupation of Palestine is an evil thing that will end with the return of the occupiers to the place from where they came. I do not expect that the justice will include putting the members of the Israeli government on trial as the Nazis were put on trial after the fall of the Nazis, but just that they will leave, as Mahmoud Darwish requested when he said to them that they ‘pass between fleeting words’ and that they should take their names and get out from on us. All of their news is a crime or lies. The Jewish holiday of Passover falls on the 22nd of this month, and it marks the anniversary of the exodus of the Jews from Egypt. According to information I have received from two university professors, which was verified by my friend, the archeologist Zahi Hawass, this whole story is a biblical myth. I challenge them to bring me one archeological remnant from Egypt or Sinai, as I challenge them daily to bring me one Jewish archeological remnant from Jerusalem, or to show us a rock from the alleged Temple.”

At Palestine Red Crescent event, Palestinian girl repeats libel that Jews kill Muslim worshippers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Apr. 18, 2016

Official PA TV reporter: "In honor of Palestinian Prisoner’s Day and Children’s Day, the [Palestine] Red Crescent society organized a carnival for the kindergarten children in the Wadi Sha’ir area east of Tulkarem, which included a mass rally in which more than 1,200 children participated..."
Palestinian girl: "Like all the children of Palestine, I do not like the occupation. I am scared of the Jews when they come to our village. They kill worshippers at the Al-Aqsa [Mosque]. They kill our people and imprison small children. It is my right to live in peace, like all children in the world."

PA news agency claims Israel purposely kills Palestinians, including children, to make Palestinians despair
Source: WAFA, official PA news agency, Apr. 5, 2016
Headline: “From Israa Al-Abed Al-Rahman – letters to my Martyr fiancé”
“Ever since the bullet snatched the life of young Abed Al-Rahman Al-Barghouti from the Aboud village north of Ramallah, on Dec. 4, 2015, his fiancé Israa Al-Barghouti from the nearby village of Deir Ghassaneh, is saying to herself: He did not die, he went on a trip and will come back… The occupation has been trying from its first day to kill the Palestinian from within. Therefore, it kills a child in order to leave a whole family filled with eternal yearning for him, it kills a young man who had dreamt of a job, a wife, and a peaceful home, and kills the head of a family, and by its crime makes him leave a widow and children… its bullets snatch a woman, whose daughter, a child, becomes a surrogate mother in a single moment. It throws children behind its bars who haven’t seen anything of life, and who, within their (i.e., the Israeli) prisons, become young and mature men whose children have grown, married and had children, turning the prisoner into a grandfather. In prison, there are endless stories about a mother’s anticipation of her child, a woman’s of her husband and the fiancé who keeps postponing her wedding day… the occupation continues to fight against the dreams of the Palestinian, who continues responding, gets up in the morning, and says to himself: Live!”

Abd Al-Rahman Al-Barghouti – a 26-year-old Palestinian terrorist who stabbed an Israeli soldier on Dec. 4, 2015 in Mateh Binyamin near Ramallah. Al-Barghouti was shot and killed by an Israeli soldier.
PFLP condemns Abbas: His statements on Israeli TV "legitimized Zionist war crimes" and "stained the intifada with [the label] `terror`"
Source: PFLP website, Apr. 3, 2016
Headline: “PFLP demands of the [PLO] Central Council and Executive Committee to stand against President Mahmoud Abbas’ statements, as they crossed the red lines”
“The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) demanded of the PLO to stand against President Mahmoud Abbas’ statements. This is in light of his recent statements to the Zionist media outlets (i.e., Abbas gave an interview on Israeli TV), and in light of the condolences expressed by a PA delegation on the death of the so-called ‘head of the civil administration’ in the West Bank. The PFLP views the recurrence of this behavior, which legitimized the occupation’s institutions and its oppressive instruments, very seriously. It considers it a crossing of the red lines, [a violation] of our people’s tradition and conventions, and harming the Palestinian national action and all Palestinian decisions, the most recent of which were the decisions of the [PLO] Palestinian Central Council. The front emphasized that this conduct, which has encountered sweeping popular and national opposition, obliges the PLO – as the institution that unites the Palestinian people– to demand accountability from the PA’s chairman [Abbas] and hold him responsible.
The Front considers the PA chairman’s statements regarding the chasing of children in schools on the pretext of disarming them of [their] knives as legitimization of the Zionist war crimes, which are perpetrated daily in the checkpoints of death and streets of Palestinian cities in the West Bank and Jerusalem, as direct incitement against the Palestinian education system, both in universities and in schools, and as staining the intifada with [the label] ‘terror.’”
US-Israel alliance and "Israel's terror is what started all the other terror – from Al-Qaeda to ISIS"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Mar. 30, 2016
Op-ed by Jihad Al-Khazen published in the London-based Al-Hayat newspaper

Headline: “The lobby attributes Israel’s crimes to its enemies”
“I came across the Near East Report for March [2016] published by the Jewish lobby AIPAC. A torture [to read]. All of the terror in Israel is attributed to its enemies, clearly and scandalously relying on Congress’ support of the occupation, killing, and destruction. There was a main article titled The Island of Stability in the Middle East Emphasizes the Importance of the Strategy of the US-Israel Alliance. I tell you that this alliance is responsible for the lack of stability in the Middle East, and that Israel’s terror is what started all the other terror – from Al-Qaeda to ISIS, and everything in between… Congress members are talking about ‘the Palestinian terror.’ I tell them that the terror is Israel, and that this is terror funded by the [US] Congress, instead of it transferring funds to poor Americans. Afterwards, I will add that Israel is a fraud and a new phenomenon that has no basis in history or geography, and that Palestine is from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea.”
PA governor representing Abbas: Israel “massacres” Palestinians and “kills any Palestinian based on suspicion alone”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Mar. 30, 2016
Headline: “Ramallah: The Political and National Orientation Authority marked Land Day”
“The Political and National Orientation Authority marked the 40th anniversary of the eternal Land Day yesterday [March 29, 2016] in a ceremony it held in Ramallah.
Present at the ceremony were District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Laila Ghannam, as representative of [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas, Official Spokesman of the PA Security Forces Adnan Al-Damiri, and the head of the Committee of Arab Monitoring in the 1948 Territories (i.e., Israel), Muhammad Barakeh.
Ghannam said in a speech she gave on behalf of President Mahmoud Abbas: ‘The occupation insists on carrying out many massacres against our people, and there is a decision to kill any Palestinian based on suspicion alone, while the world maintains its silence. Therefore, we must act to expose the occupation’s crimes.’ …
Barakeh said: ‘All the acts of struggle being carried out by our people are only intended to achieve freedom and honor and the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.’ … Likewise, he noted that the occupation forces are destroying villages in the 1948 territories (i.e., Israel) in order to expel their residents and establish settlement blocs.”

Land Day – an annual commemoration of the general strike and demonstrations organized by Israeli Arab residents of the Galilee on March 30, 1976 to protest the Israeli government's decision to expropriate land in the Galilee for security and settlement purposes, which it later implemented. During the protests, demonstrators burnt tires, blocked roads, and threw rocks and firebombs. Six demonstrators were shot and killed by the Israeli army and police. Israeli Arabs and Palestinians consider Land Day a national day.
Fatah official: Israel "uses Palestinian Martyrs' bodies as an experimental field" and there are "many suspicions" that Israel steals their organs
Source: Donia Al-Watan (independent Palestinian news agency), Mar. 29, 2016
Headline: “Al-Wahidi: Israel is the only country in the world that allows torture and punishes people after their death”
“Spokesman of the Fatah Commission of Prisoners and Released Prisoners' Affairs in the Gaza Strip and member of the prisoner committee of the National and Islamic Forces Nashat Al-Wahidi emphasized that the decision of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu yesterday, Monday, March 28, 2016, to prevent the handing over and return of Palestinian Martyrs’ (Shahids’) bodies to their relatives, exposes anew his attempt to improve his image in the Israeli street. Likewise, it exposes how Israel uses the Palestinian Martyrs’ bodies as an experimental field and as bargaining and marketing chips in order to achieve political and electoral gains, especially in light of the talk of a new prisoner exchange deal. This is alongside the many suspicions that the Israeli occupation stole organs from the Martyrs’ bodies.”
PA approves university curriculum teaching about the "issue of [Palestinian] prisoners" in Israeli jails
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Mar. 29, 2016
Headline: “The [PA] Council for Higher Education decides to approve a university curriculum that deals with prisoners”
“The [PA] Council for Higher Education decided to approve a curriculum in Palestinian universities that deals with the issue of prisoners, out of appreciation for the prisoners and to focus attention on their cause, which is at the [top of] the national priorities. This was during a periodic meeting of the council, which was held yesterday, headed by [PA] Minister of Education and Higher Education Sabri Saidam. The council emphasized the great interest in the prisoners’ cause … and noted that this curriculum will establish among the students [an awareness] of the justice of the prisoners’ cause and the suffering that they are experiencing… The council noted that three Palestinian universities are teaching this curriculum, and that in the future these programs will be evaluated, in preparation for their being taught in all the universities.”

Note: There are 6,000 Palestinians serving time in Israeli prisons (as of September 2015), some of whom murdered or planned the murders of Israeli civilians. All of these prisoners were imprisoned for security offenses and terror related crimes.
Israeli soldier as stabber and executor
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Mar. 26, 2016

Text in upper right corner:
"Stabbing attempt"
Text attributed to soldier: "We tried to stab him and did not succeed, so we shot him"

The image shows an Israeli soldier holding a knife and a smoking gun. It libels Israelis as the ones carrying out violence and trying to kill Palestinians with all means.
This appeared 6 months into a wave of Palestinian terror attacks that included stabbings, shootings and car rammings in which more than 30 Israelis were killed.

This cartoon was published shortly after an incident in Hebron on March 24, 2016, in which terrorist Abd Al-Fattah Al-Sharif , who stabbed an Israeli soldier, was shot and killed by an Israeli soldier after appearing to have already been neutralized. The soldier who shot him stated that he suspected that Al-Sharif was about to blow up an explosive belt hidden under his clothing. The incident was investigated by Israeli authorities and the soldier was charged with manslaughter.
Official PA daily implies Israel was behind ISIS terror attacks in Brussels and Paris to punish Europe for supporting the Palestinians
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Mar. 24, 2016
Headline: "The hidden terror rips out the heart of Europe!"
By Muwaffaq Matar, Fatah Revolutionary Committee member and regular columnist for the official PA daily
"The terrorist bombings in the capital of the European Union are not only a response to the arrest of the mastermind of the terrorist crimes in Paris, Salah Abdeslam, but also [happened] at the best moment for those targeting the real heart of Europe and who are hiding behind the name of ISIS.
We do not want to throw accusations, but why did the crimes and terrorist massacres of ISIS in France and Brussels coincide with the European Union's first attempt to free itself of the Israeli extortion and of the Jewish persecution in Europe complex, and [coincide with] European members of parliament's support of the Palestinian right [to statehood]?
Isn't France the one that came up with the idea of holding an international conference that would end the conflict and the Israeli occupation of the lands of the State of Palestine?! Isn't [France] the one that threatened to recognize the State of Palestine if Israel did not head towards peace with the Palestinians, which would guarantee their rights according to the decisions of the international institutions?"

PA Security Forces spokesman suggests Israel was behind terror in Brussels to punish Europeans for supporting a Palestinian state and for boycotting settlement products
Source: Facebook page of Adnan Al-Damiri, the official spokesman of the PA Security Forces, Mar. 24, 2016
"Question: How come Europe has turned into the scene of terror attacks and murder of innocent civilians after the majority of European parliaments have recognized the State of Palestine, and after the expansion of the European boycott of products made in Israeli settlements? Is it possible that the timing of the targeting [of Europe] by ISIS and its offshoots is innocent and a coincidence? And why specifically Europe now that the European popular and official support for Palestine is growing??? Help me understand and answer. Thank you!"

US and Europe "exported" the "Jewish terror to Palestine," Israel is "the ugliest form of terror"
Source: Facebook page of Adnan Al-Damiri, the official spokesman of the PA Security Forces, Mar. 22, 2016
Text posted by PA Security Forces Spokesman Adnan Al-Damiri on his Facebook page on March 22, 2016, following the March 22, 2016 terror attacks in Brussels that killed at least 31 and injured hundreds: "While we condemn and denounce terrorist acts everywhere in the world, we Arabs are the ones who have been most severely burned by the fire of terror, which has been created and exported by the US and Europe since the Arab Jihad fighters in Afghanistan, and before that by exporting the Jewish terror to Palestine, supporting it and justifying it. Today, Europe is being burnt by its [the terror's] fire in its airports and squares. I do not gloat but feel pain over every innocent soul that was killed, but those who prepare the poison will taste it themselves, and today Europe is having a taste of what it prepared with its own hands. Unless you fight terror everywhere, first and foremost in Palestine, since the [Israeli] occupation is the ugliest form of terror, as well as in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Egypt, Tunisia and Jordan - you will be burnt by its fire, and terror has no religion."

Fatah and PLO official: Israeli “occupation” has been “one of the main sources of terror for more than 60 years”
Source: Ma’an, independent Palestinian news agency, Mar. 21, 2016
Headline: "The National Council demands the determination of a definition of terror and its reasons"
"Azzam Al-Ahmad, [Fatah Central Committee member and] head of the Palestinian National Council (i.e., the legislative body of the PLO) delegation to the Inter-Parliamentary Union taking place today [March 2, 2016] in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, demanded that a clear definition of the concept of terror and its causes be determined so that we will be able to specify the means to deal with it and remove all its causes… Al-Ahmad emphasized that we, as Palestinians, oppose the Israeli occupation, which has been one of the main sources of terror for more than 60 years, and see how some of the international forces still hold double standards regarding global issues. Al-Ahmad demanded that the world apply international law to the Israeli occupation, which is one of the sources of terror in the Middle East, and wondered why some of the international powers insist on continuing to provide many Arab countries with reasons for anarchy and destruction, and to support the civil wars taking place within them."

Former Arafat advisor: Israeli crimes against Palestinians “exceed the Nazis’ crimes by several degrees”
Source: Ma’an, independent Palestinian news agency, Mar. 17, 2016
Headline: "Abu Sharif calls on Putin to stop Israel's expansion"
"[Former advisor to Yasser Arafat] Bassam Abu Sharif called on President of Russia [Vladimir Putin] to stand firmly against the Israeli expansion, land expropriation, and building of settlements, being carried out with the criminal power of the occupation army. Bassam Abu Sharif stated in the name of a large group of members of the Palestinian National Council: 'I call on President [Vladimir] Putin to deter the racist regime from carrying out its criminal acts against the Palestinian people, its men, women, and children. Abu Sharif added that the Israeli crimes being carried out against [Palestinian] civilians have reached a point where they exceed the Nazis’ crimes by several degrees."
PA daily reprints op-ed calling Israel a "terrorist" and "criminal invaders"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Mar. 16, 2016
Excerpt of op-ed by Jihad Al-Khazen published in the London-based Al-Hayat newspaper

Headline: "Condemnations of Israel are spread throughout the world"
"Terror is Israel, and everyone who protects it (i.e., Israel) is a terrorist like it. [US] President Obama spoke part of the truth when he criticized Israel's standpoint regarding the peace process. As for the Palestinian attacks against the occupation's settlers and army with kitchen knives, they are necessary in order to liberate the land. Once again, the Palestinian fighters are a national liberation movement, while the occupation army and the settlers are criminal invaders."
PA Minister of Jerusalem Affairs: Israel kills Palestinians to rid Jerusalem of its Palestinian population

Abbas: Terror wave is a "peaceful" response to Israel's "defiling" the "holy sites" and its "killing" of Palestinians
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Mar. 3, 2016
Headline: “The President: We object to the intervention of an external factor in internal Palestinian affairs”
“The Fatah Revolutionary Council opened its 16th session yesterday evening [March 2, 2016] in the presence of [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas and the members of the Fatah Central Committee… Abbas noted that the peaceful popular uprising is in response to the actions of the occupation, its disregard of all signed agreements and lack of adherence to their implementation, the fact that it has continued to defile the Islamic and Christian holy sites, the policy of arrests, the demolitions (i.e., of houses of terrorists), the killing, the expulsion, the closure, and the siege.”

What Abbas referred to as “peaceful popular uprising” is in fact a wave of Palestinian terror attacks which at the time of Abbas’ speech had included:
79 shooting attacks, 203 knifings, and 39 car ramming attacks, in which 33 Israelis were murdered and 387 wounded.

The terms "all means," "peaceful uprising,” and “popular uprising" are ‎often used by PA leaders to refer to events that include violence and deadly terror ‎against Israeli civilians such as rock-throwing, stabbings and even shootings.

Israel carries out demolitions of terrorists' houses. According to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "Demolition orders are issued only against the residences of terrorists who commit the most serious offenses" and it is "an act of deterrence meant to discourage Palestinians from carrying out future terror attacks so as to minimize their number.” (MFA website)
