Demonization of Jews/Israelis
Jews/Israelis are evil
Demonization of Jews/Israelis
Since the Palestinian Authority was established it has systematically indoctrinated young and old to hate Israelis and Jews. Using media, education, and cultural structures that it controls, the PA has actively promoted religious hatred, demonization, conspiracy libels, etc. These are packaged to present Israelis and Jews as endangering Palestinians, Arabs, and all humanity. This ongoing campaign has so successfully instilled hatred that fighting, murder and even suicide terror against Israelis and Jews are seen by the majority of Palestinians as justified self-defense and as Allah’s will. The PA presents Jews as possessing inherently evil traits. Jews are said to be treacherous, corrupt, deceitful and unfaithful by nature. These Jewish “attributes” and traditions are presented as the unchangeable nature of Jews. Forgeries and fiction masquerading as history are used to document and support the libel that Judaism is in essence racist and evil. Jews are said to be planning and executing heinous crimes, including burning Palestinians in ovens, murder, using prisoners for Nazi-like experiments, and more. If unchecked, these crimes constitute a mortal danger, not only to all Muslims and Arabs but to all of humanity.

The PA assigns responsibility to the Jews for all the problems in the world: Wars, conflicts and civil wars are all said to be triggered by Jews. Indeed, the oppression suffered by Jews throughout history is presented as the legitimate response of nations seeking revenge for the injury caused them by the Jews living among them. The creation of the State of Israel is said to have been a European plot, in order to be rid of their Jews and save Europe from the evil of Jewish presence in their countries.

The following are examples of Palestinian demonization:

Ramallah Governor: Israel subjects Palestinians to "terror, racism, tyranny, and persecution"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 23, 2015
"District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Dr. Laila Ghannam… clarified that the fact that Councilwoman Maria Sánchez, the representative of the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, had apologized for awarding her a Citation of Honor… [Ghannam] noted that, according to Sánchez's statements, the citation had been withdrawn from her because of her 'support of terror.' […] She [Sánchez] also apologized to the occupation for having honored her and met with her. Ghannam described to the Councilwoman the attacks the occupation carries out against our defenseless people... Ghannam noted that... [the councilwoman] yielded to the terror of the occupier and the Zionist lobby. She [Ghannam] also emphasized that... she [Sánchez] had yielded to the occupier's terror, racism, tyranny and its persecution of all Palestinians, wherever they are. Ghannam said: 'We are not interested in citations of honor that require us to slander our fighters and the supporting pillars of our struggle as terrorists,' emphasizing that it is the occupation's actions against our defenseless people, and not [our people's] defense of its dignity and land, that is terror."

Note: The terrorists Ghannam has honored, causing her to lose the award, include Abdallah Barghouti, who built bombs for suicide terrorists and is currently serving 67 life sentences for complicity in murder of 67 civilians, and the founder of Hamas, Ahmed Yassin, who was responsible for the deaths of hundreds in suicide bombings in Israel. Al-Awdah TV: Jews were corrupt so Europe wanted to get rid of them with Balfour Declaration
Source: Fatah-run Awdah TV, Feb. 18, 2015

"Faced with the Jews' schemes Europe could not bear their character traits, monopolies, corruption, and their control and climbing up position in government. In 1290, King Edward I issued a decree banishing the Jews [from England]. Following him were France, Germany, Austria, Holland, Czechoslovakia, Spain and Italy. The European nations felt that they had suffered a tragedy by providing refuge for the Jews. Later the Jews obtained the Balfour Declaration, and Europe saw it as an ideal solution to get rid of them."

Abbas' advisor: Israeli citizenship was “imposed” on Israeli Arabs “as a tax”‎
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 12, 2015
‎“Nimer Hammad, political advisor to PA ‎Chairman Mahmoud Abbas… ‎emphasized that the meetings being held ‎‎[between representatives from Arab ‎countries and Palestinians] – whether in ‎the West Bank or with our people in the ‎‎1948 territories (i.e., Israel) – especially in ‎Nazareth and Baka – are ultimately ‎intended to strengthen this bond, and to ‎correct the erroneous approach taken for ‎many years in an attempt to conceal [the ‎identity of] those of our people who had ‎stayed on their land and hold Israeli ‎citizenship, which was imposed on them ‎as a tax for their adherence to their land.”‎

PA daily columnist: Israel behind ‎Charlie Hebdo terror attacks and maybe ‎even behind 9/11‎
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 2, 2015
Op-ed by Osama Al-Fara, regular ‎columnist for Al-Hayat Al-Jadida:
‎“Whoever examines the events of ‎September [2001], finds himself faced with ‎a series of doubt-raising questions: Was ‎Al-Qaeda capable of carrying out such a ‎complex operation (i.e., terror attack) in the ‎heart of the world’s greatest power? And ‎‎[even] if Al-Qaeda claimed responsibility ‎for [the attack] later, did it carry it out alone ‎or was there a secret power helping it? [...] At the beginning of this year [2015], the ‎Charlie Hebdo incident occurred in ‎France. Despite the evident link that was ‎established between the incident and the ‎pictures insulting the Prophet Muhammad ‎published by the magazine, the choice of ‎France in particular... raises several ‎questions, especially if we recall the ‎timing of the incident and the parties that ‎stood to profit from it... A few days before the Charlie ‎Hebdo incident, the French government ‎voted in the [UN] Security Council in favor ‎of a decision calling to end the occupation ‎and to establish a Palestinian state along ‎the June 1967 borders by the end of 2017.‎ It may be difficult to see a connection ‎between the French vote and the ‎magazine incident, but a few details of the ‎incident suggest the possibility that such a ‎link does exist: How did an Israeli ‎journalist manage to film the incident? ‎Why were there Israelis on the [roof of the] ‎magazine building? Why did the car used ‎in the incident stop near a Jewish store? ‎And is it a coincidence that the hostages ‎were taken in a Jewish store [of all ‎places]? [...] History may not be ‎all conspiracies, but conspiracies do exist ‎in history.”‎

Ramallah Governor: There is nothing to stop Israel's "savagery, criminality and unrestrained terrorism"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 31, 2015

"District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Laila Ghannam... receiv[ed] the Liberty Bell from [Philadelphia] City Council member Maria Sanchez in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, [USA] yesterday [Jan. 30, 2015]... In addition, Ghannam received a Citation of Honor, which has never been awarded to any Arab leader or citizen before, in recognition of her impact and her extraordinary actions for her nation and her cause, and her influence within her society and in the world... [Ghannam] made it clear that the land of Palestine was the cradle of love and peace, noting that Jesus was Palestinian, and that tolerance is one of the Palestinians' most prominent principles." Ghannam gave the parliamentary representative [City Councilwoman Maria Sanchez] a memento from the Palestinian heritage, and noted that this is our heritage, identity and the legacy of our ancestors. She also noted that the occupation (i.e., PA euphemism for Israel) was trying to steal it by using it in Israeli fashion shows and for the uniforms of the Israeli airline attendants. Ghannam clarified that stealing is their [the Israelis'] conduct, as they have stolen the land, and are now trying to rob all that is Palestinian, without anything to stop their savagery, criminality and unrestrained terrorism."

PLO Ambassador demonizes Israel as “rampant villains” and “wild bull”‎
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 29, 2015
On Jan. 28, 2015, Hezbollah bombed Northern Israel, killing two Israeli soldiers. Adli ‎Sadeq, PLO Ambassador to India and regular columnist for the official PA daily Al-Hayat ‎Al-Jadida, wrote the following op-ed in response to the bombing: ‎ ‎
‎“Hezbollah’s operation (i.e., shooting of missiles) at Sheba Farms [in Northern Israel]... the most important aspect of this resistance operation was ‎the fact that it put the quarrelsome ones (i.e., Israel) into a state of unrest, for [it showed ‎them that] not every bombing produces harmless results, and not every escalation is ‎free of consequences or considerations to be taken by the aggressors (i.e., Israelis).
In addition, no one in the Arab world will be able to profess his friendship with those ‎addicted to carrying out bloody attacks against all their neighbors (i.e., Israel), since ‎their daily actions would convince all the Arabs, despite their [internal] conflicts and ‎disagreements, that whoever fails to oppose these rampant villains, within the ‎possible constraints, deserves to be isolated. Furthermore, even those Arabs who ‎present themselves as moderate and as supporters of peace will sooner or later find ‎themselves wishing that this wild bull be contained...
We do not deny our joy at the fact that this quarrelsome occupation received a limited ‎response, the minimal response on Hezbollah’s part. The occupiers thought that no ‎one would dare fire at them, but from now on they will think twice before embarking on ‎a ‘joyride’ war against Lebanon. And they have already understood that if they do, they ‎will suffer exactly as the Lebanese!”‎

Netanyahu and the US were behind Paris terror attacks
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 27, 2015
Op-ed by Muwaffaq Matar, regular columnist for the official PA daily:
Headline: "When Netanyahu plays behind the White House's back"
"A few hours after [Israeli PM Netanyahu's] government summoned the French ambassador in Tel Aviv to protest France's vote in favor of the proposed Palestinian decision in the [UN] Security Council to end the occupation, the reports of the criminal attack on the Charlie Hebdo newspaper and the Jewish store in Paris arrived, along with the news of the victims' deaths. In addition, a few hours after [Japanese] Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's first visit to Palestine and his meeting with the President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, whom [Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor] Liberman, one of the pillars of the government, considers 'the Palestinian who poses the greatest threat to the existence of Israel,' Al-Qaeda kidnapped two Japanese citizens. The double rhetorical question here is: Did [the plan] to strike Japan occur to Bin Laden's Al-Qaeda and [Abu Bakr] Al-Baghdadi's IS only after this visit, or is it that Netanyahu has his own Al-Qaeda and IS, which he operates in order to kill the citizens of every influential country in the region that opposes the policy of the occupation and settlement state? The kidnapping of the two Japanese citizens and the crime committed against Charlie Hebdo and the Jewish store in Paris were not coincidences... We believe there is a conspiracy at work, for the US and Israeli intelligence [services] are the greatest experts at exploiting the organizations that emerge in areas of conflict."

Official PA daily: US and Israel fund terror groups, use them to carry out plan for “New Middle East”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 18, 2015
Op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for official PA daily
“After focusing their attention on the reasons behind the growth of terror groups that condemn others for heresy, all the local, Arab, regional and international forces must face the question of how to eliminate terror. Some may say that examining the reasons [behind terrorism], may open the way to answering these questions, but the main questions remain the following: Is reform or revolution necessary in order to deal with the roots of terrorism and the groups that condemn [others] as heretics? Which agents of change are capable of raising the flag of the revival of the Arab and Muslim societies? Is it [not] possible to rely on existing regimes and their methods? Will the West in general and the US and Israel in particular renounce these groups and cut off their funding, or vice versa? In other words, can it be that the role of these groups has expired, or rather, are they still a regional element that the US and its allies rely upon? If we start answering [these questions] from last [to first], we can establish that the decision makers in the White House and in Tel Aviv and their followers still rely on these groups for the realization of their plan [for] a ‘New Middle East.’”
Fatah: Israel is “the ‎worst form of terrorism, no less ‎abominable than the terrorism of the Islamic State"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 17, 2015
"Fatah spokesman Ahmad Assaf expressed his surprise and condemnation of Canadian foreign minister John Baird's request that the members of the PLO Executive Committee and the head of the Department for Negotiation Affairs apologize to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for having compared his crimes to those of the Islamic State terror organization. In a statement to the press yesterday, Friday [Jan. 16, 2015], Assaf emphasized that the occupation is the worst form of terrorism, no less abominable than the terrorism of the Islamic State, and in fact [even] more abominable... He added: '[Canadian Prime Minister Steven] Harper and Baird are the ones who should apologize to the Canadian people for the damage their policy, which is biased towards the occupation, has done to Canada and its people, and to the Palestinian people, which is suffering a historic injustice.'"

Western and Israeli intel services helped ‎establish Islamic terrorism
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 17, 2015
Op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, columnist ‎for the official PA daily:
‎“When we examine Islamic terrorism, [we ‎see that] the above mentioned factors - ‎established by the Western and Israeli ‎intelligence services and some of the Arab ‎and Islamic tyrannical and corrupt regimes ‎‎- formed the foundation for its birth and ‎solidification. These factors prepared the ‎ground for its political, economic, ‎logistical, military and public relations ‎success. In addition, the religious non-‎civilian factors - the Muslim Brotherhood ‎and their branches in the eastern and ‎western parts of the Arab world - played ‎an important role in the spread and ‎diffusion of its influence… They created ‎the appropriate conditions for the birth and ‎establishment of the various terror groups, ‎whose influence grew after the outbreak ‎of the revolutions of the Arab Spring in ‎late 2010 and early 2011.”‎
Israel as a pirate receiving US support
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 17, 2015

Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, the official PA daily, published a cartoon showing a pirate with a cutlass as a religious Jew with sidelocks and a fedora – representing Israel – supported by Uncle Sam, who stands behind him with his arm around his shoulder, next to an ATM machine. They are both standing in a pirate ship containing the Al-Aqsa Mosque, a church, Gaza and Israel’s separation fence. The usual skull on the Jolly Roger flag has been exchanged with a Star of David.

Israel was behind terror attacks in France "to realize the myth of the `Jewishness of Israel`"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 15, 2015
On Jan. 7, 2015, Muslim terrorists Cherif and Said Kouachi carried out a shooting attack at the Paris office of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. 12 people were killed in the attack, which was a response to cartoons the magazine published about Islam's Prophet Muhammad. On Jan. 8, in a connected attack, Muslim terrorist Amely Coulibaly shot and killed a policewoman in Paris and on Jan. 9, he shot and killed 4 Jewish shoppers at a Paris kosher supermarket.
While Abbas officially condemned the terror attacks in France, PMW has documented different PA reactions to the attacks. Some have condemned them while at the same time condemning Charlie Hebdo for mocking Islam's Prophet Muhammad. Others have compared the terror attacks in France to Israeli "terrorism" against Palestinians, and some have even claimed that Israel was behind the attacks.
Op-ed by Muwaffaq Matar, regular columnist for the official PA daily:
“[Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu, together with [other] Israeli leaders, is now walking in the footsteps of the first leaders of the Zionist project, who invented, created and funded the terror against the Jews in Europe, particularly in Germany, and in the Arab world... Over the next few days, the death of the officer in charge of investigating the attacks of the terrorists, who perpetrated crimes against humanity, against the French journalists and citizens, may well be revealed to have been murder, rather than suicide – for he had [discovered] the first threads of the plot leading back to Netanyahu’s Mossad (Israeli Secret Intelligence Service) - [Netanyahu] who wishes to realize the myth of the “Jewishness of Israel” even at the expense of new victims among the citizens of European countries... [Hollande did so] not only [for fear] that he [Netanyahu] would exploit it for his election campaign, but also because he is part of terrorism, and because he, like many Israeli leaders, violated French sovereignty and sought to exploit the terrorism that struck some French Jews (which, according to Turkish sources, including [Turkish] intelligence and the mayor of Ankara, was planned by the Israeli [Secret Intelligence Service] Mossad) [parenthesis in source] to… call on French Jews to immigrate to Israel.”

PA daily op-ed: "Zionist terrorism in Palestine is the most abominable example" of terrorism
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 14, 2015
Op-ed by Fatah Revolutionary Council member Bakr Abu Bakr, regular columnist for official PA daily:
“IS and its ilk are not the only prominent examples of the promotion of hatred, terror and loathing linked to religion and nationalism – as if extremism were a product of Islam, as some seek to present it, even though it is not so. Extremism is inherent in the human soul… and the Zionist terrorism in Palestine is the most abominable example in the world, far outdoing all the others – for this terrorism links together occupation, settlement, expulsion, killing and the absolute negation of the other.”

US, Israel and Europe created IS and other Islamist movement in order to "fragment" the Arab and Muslim world
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 12, 2015
Op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for the official PA daily:
“I will not add anything new if I say that terrorism has no color, religion, race or sex. Yet responsibility requires [us] to turn [our] attention to those who laid the foundations and created organized terrorism, and they [are]…the adherents of the principles of ‘creative anarchy,’ or ‘constructive anarchy,’ who are eager to divide up that which has already been divided in the Arab homeland, in order to build their new Middle East, and [they] are acting in coordination with the Israeli occupation state.
These elements produce their means of destruction in every period in history, and dress them in religious, ethnic or racial garb, creating, together with them, views, ideas and goals contrary to the interests of their nations and world peace…
The Islamic organizations and movements created by the US, Israel, Europe and their allies in the Middle East, beginning with the Muslim Brotherhood in 1928, through IS, [Jabhat] Al-Nusra, Ansar Bait Al-Maqdis, Jaish Al-Ummah, and others in 2013 and even earlier, were designed to serve as arms [of the West], with the aim of fragmenting the unity of the [Arab] nations and countries of the Arab homeland and serving the aims mentioned above. In addition, they were designed to act towards maintaining the Israeli occupation state, and to forge an alliance against the Palestinian national project and the Arab national revival.”
