Speech in Abbas’ name honors female terrorists

"Secretary General of the presidential office, Al-Tayeb Abd Al-Rahim, said that there is no news with regard to the political process… during a speech he delivered on behalf of President Abbas at the opening of the fourth conference of the Governing Council of the General Union of Palestinian Women… He noted the huge sacrifice of Palestinian women, and said: 'Palestinian women have sacrificed in the realms of sacrifice and defense of the homeland – thousands of Shahidas (Martyrs) and women prisoners, from the first Shahida, Shadia Abu Ghazaleh, via the Shahida Dalal Mughrabi, to the Shahida Jawaher Abu Rahma, and an infinite row of male and female Martyrs who went to Paradise turning their blood into a bridge which we cross on the way to liberty and independence… [Palestinian women] still stand proudly and stubbornly, to prove their determination to continue with the struggle against the occupation and its oppression and settlement measures. Greetings of true respect to our mothers, the mothers of the Shahids and the prisoners, who have been a role model in the struggle, in giving, in resolve, and in sacrifice. Greetings of loyalty and admiration to all the prisoner sisters who are sitting behind bars in the occupation's prisons. We say to them, and to all our heroic prisoners: your freedom is inevitable; the day will come when you will enjoy liberation from the yoke of the prison guard.'"

Note: Shadia Abu Ghazaleh was active in the Arab Nationalist Movement and in the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terror organization and was involved in many attacks against Israel. While preparing a bomb for an attack in Tel Aviv in 1968, it accidentally detonated and killed her.
Dalal Mughrabi led the most lethal terror attack in Israel's history in 1978, when she and other terrorists hijacked a bus and killed 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
Jawaher Abu Rahma died after a demonstration against the security fence. According to Palestinian claims, from inhalation of tear gas, but this has not been verified.
