Abbas’ statement at a meeting with “activists for the defense of the Noble Sanctuary” (i.e., the Temple Mount)
PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas: “We bless you, we bless the Murabitin (those carrying out Ribat, religious conflict/war to protect land claimed to be Islamic), we bless every drop of blood that has been spilled for Jerusalem, which is clean and pure blood, blood spilled for Allah, Allah willing. Every Martyr (Shahid) will reach Paradise, and everyone wounded will be rewarded by Allah. The Al-Aqsa [Mosque] is ours, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre is ours, and they have no right to defile them with their filthy feet. We will not allow them to, and we will do everything in our power to protect Jerusalem.”

Abbas’ advisor compares Netanyahu to Goebbels
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, June 10, 2015
Official PA TV News report on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statement regarding his commitment to the two-state solution, and his holding the Palestinians responsible for the freeze in negotiations.

Political Advisor for President Mahmoud Abbas Nimer Hammad: “[Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu tried to implement a propaganda method [which] I say is similar to ‎‎[Nazi Germany's Minister of Propaganda] Goebbels’ [method]: ‘Lie, lie, lie, in the hope of reinforcing it [the lie] in public opinion.’ Netanyahu doesn’t want to touch the reason for the isolation [of Israel], which is the issue of settlement.”

The Palestinian president’s representative and Fatah Central Committee member Sultan Abu Al-Einein said that the month of March and its [historical] events (the battle of Karameh and Land Day) demonstrate that the Jordanian blood is mixed with the Palestinian blood, thereby proving that we are one nation in two homelands…
Abu Al-Einein stressed that according to the signs, there is no peace with the Zionists, since they are an enemy determined to swallow the land and to turn the children into food for the settlers’ cars.”
Abbas' advisor: Israeli citizenship was “imposed” on Israeli Arabs “as a tax”‎
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 12, 2015
‎“Nimer Hammad, political advisor to PA ‎Chairman Mahmoud Abbas… ‎emphasized that the meetings being held ‎‎[between representatives from Arab ‎countries and Palestinians] – whether in ‎the West Bank or with our people in the ‎‎1948 territories (i.e., Israel) – especially in ‎Nazareth and Baka – are ultimately ‎intended to strengthen this bond, and to ‎correct the erroneous approach taken for ‎many years in an attempt to conceal [the ‎identity of] those of our people who had ‎stayed on their land and hold Israeli ‎citizenship, which was imposed on them ‎as a tax for their adherence to their land.”‎

Abbas says he won't recognize Israel as Jewish state; claims Israel plans to displace Israeli Arabs
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Dec. 24, 2014

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, at a press conference held at the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
“Starting three years ago they [Israelis] came to us with a new invention: The Jewish ‎state. The Jewish state. Of course, now there is a Jewish state, an Islamic State, the ‎state of ISIS, and so on. The atmosphere is highly explosive. We said: "We will not ‎recognize Israel as a Jewish state." We recognize Israel, the State of Israel... [In Israel] ‎there are a million and half Arabs and half a million Christian and Muslim Russians... ‎We ask: "What right do [Russians] have to come to Palestine?" […] Naturally, Israel has ‎its objectives with this (i.e., Jewish state demand) - in general - that a million and a half ‎‎[Israeli] Arabs will be scattered all over. ‘‘You are not a Jew, what are you doing here?’’ ‎‎‘‘This is a Jewish state and you are not a Jew.’’ Likewise, they shut the doors on the ‎right of return, but we will not give up the right of return. I am a refugee, I am a refugee. ‎The President of the State of Palestine is merely a refugee. From Safed.”‎

The ‎autopsy, which was overseen by Israeli and ‎Palestinian pathologists, revealed that the ‎cause of death was a heart attack, but ‎disagreement remains over the extent to which the altercation with Israeli forces may have caused ‎the heart attack. In addition, he inhaled tear gas, which ‎made him lose consciousness. He was evacuated to the government hospital in ‎Ramallah, where medical sources confirmed his death as a Martyr.‎
President Mahmoud Abbas described the savage attack that led to his death as a ‎Martyr... as a barbaric act that cannot be passed over in silence or accepted. His ‎Excellency [Abbas] emphasized: “We will take all necessary measures after learning ‎the results of the investigation of fighter Abu Ein’s Martyrdom-death. His Excellency ‎condemned the continuation of the attacks on the Palestinian people by the Israeli ‎government. Abbas’ Advisor: Israel seeks to “eradicate” Palestinian identity and create “an illegal Jewish entity”
Source: WAFA news agency, Nov. 23, 2014
“Mahmoud Al-Habbash, the Supreme Shari’ah Judge and Mahmoud Abbas’ Advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs, said that Arabs and Muslims around the globe, especially those with foreign citizenship, must go to the Al-Aqsa Mosque and come together to Jerusalem to support the resolve of its residents. During a political forum held at the embassy of the State of Palestine in Algeria, Al-Habbash said: ‘Our people is now in the last stage of a war of existence and self-coercion against the occupation, which is seeking in any way possible to eradicate our identity, force a Caesarian birth of a Jewish entity and clone an illegal entity at our expense.’… In addition, he emphasized that the occupation – which thinks it has succeeded in winning the geographic war with [its] racist fences and roadblocks and that it will have the last word in the fairy tale of Jewish Jerusalem by taking over the Al-Aqsa Mosque – must be opposed.”
Abbas: Proposed law allowing Jews to pray on Temple Mount will lead “the region and the world into a destructive religious war”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Nov. 11, 2014
Official PA TV broadcast a repeat of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ speech on the 10th anniversary of Yasser Arafat’s death:
PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas: “The Israeli leadership is making a big mistake if it thinks history is reversible and that they can establish facts on the ground and divide the Al-Aqsa [Mosque] according to place and time, as they did in the past at the Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., Cave of the Patriarchs) in Hebron – a step they will yet retract. With their actions, they are leading the region and the world into a destructive religious war. Neither the Muslim nor the Christian world will ever accept the Israeli claims that Jerusalem belongs to them. No one, [neither] Muslims nor Christians, will accept that Jerusalem be [anything] but the capital of the State of Palestine, and we will accept no other claims, whatever they may be. Jerusalem is our capital, and we will not give it up. Jerusalem, which was conquered in 1967, is our Jerusalem and our capital, and we will protect it and defend its holy places. We are all Murabitin (i.e., those who carry out Ribat, religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) along with the children of Jerusalem.”

Note: The physical division and division according to time refers to a proposed law (May 2013) being reviewed in Israeli Parliament that would allow for both Jews and Muslims to pray on the Temple Mount. The law seeks to implement separate prayer times for Muslims and Jews at the site.

Abbas’ advisor “warns” Israel may drag Muslims all over world into “religious war”
Source: Awdah independent Palestinian TV channel, Nov. 6, 2014
Mahmoud Al-Habbash, the Supreme Shari’ah Judge and Mahmoud Abbas’ Advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs:
“Today, the protection and defense of Al-Aqsa, the efforts and the Jihad – Jihad by means of the body and Jihad by means of supply – for Al-Aqsa are a personal religious obligation [Arabic: fard ayn] for every Muslim man and woman from one end of the land to the other…We see a crazy and insane war being waged against the holiest place for the Muslims in Palestine: the Al-Aqsa Mosque… If this escalation continues – and we have warned, the President [Mahmoud Abbas] has warned of this [possibility] – it may lead to a religious war.... A religious war – to put it simply, that is – every Israeli would become a target for every Muslim from America to Japan, everywhere in the world, from all parts of the world. Every Muslim will feel that his religion and faith are being targeted, and that one of his holy places – the most important of his holy places – is being targeted. By whom? By these Israelis. These Israelis are [our] enemies and have become targets, because they are Israelis, for no other reason. The world’s Arabs and Muslims are the ones who will engage in direct confrontation [with Israel] on the material, operational and practical [level]. That is, you will be at war with a billion and a half Muslims…And this religious war will not be confined to Palestine. As I said, it may well [spread] to America, to Washington itself, to Europe, Asia, Africa. The fire of this war will reach every place in the world...”

Abbas to Pope: "Israel is taking systematic action aimed at changing [Jerusalem's] identity and character and at harassing its Palestinian Christian and Muslim residents"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 26, 2014
Excerpt from [PA] Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' speech at the press conference with Pope Francis
“We informed His Holiness of the results of the negotiations and the obstacles that lie in their path, foremost among which are the [Israeli] settlements, the daily attacks on the houses of worship – churches and mosques – and the confinement of thousands of Palestinian prisoners who are longing for freedom in the Israeli prisons. For over 30 days now, many of them have been on a hunger strike because of the bad treatment [they receive] and the fact that they are being detained without sentences, [in] what is known as administrative detention. We also informed His Holiness of the tragic situation in East Jerusalem, the capital of our state that has been occupied since 1967, where Israel is taking systematic action aimed at changing its [Jerusalem’s] identity and character and at harassing its Palestinian Christian and Muslim residents, in order to induce them to emigrate and to prevent believers outside it from praying at its houses of worship…
These Israeli actions have led to the emigration of many of our Christian and Muslim brethren; we are seeing to it that they remain rooted in their land, the fatherland.”
