Op-ed in PA daily asks PMW to pass on threat to Israeli Minister of Public Security
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 5, 2018
Op-ed in the sports section of the official PA daily by Abd Al-Fattah Arar

"Extremist Israeli Minister [of Public Security] Gilad Erdan sent the International Olympic Committee a letter that testifies to the extent of their hate, and in it he demanded to freeze Chairman of the Palestine Olympic Committee [and Fatah Central Committee Secretary] Jibril Rajoub's membership and Palestine's membership… This is undoubtedly the height of insolence, which testifies to a state of confusion and a pitiful show of muscle. Be assured – and we hope that the unit that monitors the Palestinian media, Palestinian Media Watch, will pass on this message as it has passed on other messages in the past: Everything that you have done, are doing, and will do, and all of the frauds you are concocting, will not cause us to sit by quietly, and will not clear the arena for you to sow ruin and destruction..."

Rajoub: PMW's director is "the Goebbels of the 21st century"
Source: Official PA TV Live, Sept. 3, 2018

Speech by Fatah Central Committee Secretary and Chairman of the Palestinian Football Association Jibril Rajoub at a press conference on Sept. 3, 2018, on the sanctions FIFA imposed on him

Chairman of the Palestinian Football Association and Fatah Central Committee Secretary Jibril Rajoub:
"First of all, they are waging this war on all fronts. There's Palestinian Media Watch, whose director [Itamar Marcus] is Goebbels - Goebbels, Hitler's ideological theorist... He is the Goebbels of the 21st century. He prepared an indictment against me, believe me, [starting] from 1968 when I went into [an Israeli] prison the first time, until today. I traveled to Latin America, and every place I go, believe me, he spreads these accusations. He submitted a complaint to the Olympic Committee (to remove Rajoub from heading the Palestinian committee - Ed.), he submitted a complaint to FIFA (to have Rajoub suspended and fined - Ed.), and when I traveled to the US - he also spread [his accusations] in the US (submitting a complaint to the State Department to have Rajoub's entry prohibited- Ed.). The only thing he does is to deal with me."

PA: FIFA suspended Rajoub because of “claims by… Palestinian Media Watch”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Sept. 1, 2018

Official PA TV program Pal Sport,

Official PA TV host: "The [Palestinian Football] Association pointed out that the [FIFA] Disciplinary Committee based its decision [to suspend Jibril Rajoub] on claims by organizations of settlers in the occupied territories who call themselves Palestinian Media Watch."

FIFA suspended Jibril Rajoub Chairman of the Palestinian Football Association on Aug. 24, 2018, from attending games for 12 months and fining him 20,000 Swiss francs. This followed complaints by PMW and the Israel Football Association after Rajoub’s actions to prevent a football friendly match between Argentina and Israel in Jerusalem in June 2018. Rajoub called to target the Argentinian Football Association and burn jerseys and pictures of Lionel Messi," which caused Argentina to cancel the match. FIFA ruled that Rajoub violated "article 53 (Inciting hatred and violence) of the FIFA Disciplinary Code.

Jibril Rajoub also holds the following positions: Fatah Central Committee Secretary, Head of the PLO Supreme Council for Sport and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Palestine Olympic Committee, and Chairman of the Palestinian Scout Association (PSA).
Palestinian Football Association blames PMW for Rajoub's suspension from FIFA
Source: WAFA, official PA news agency, Aug. 24, 2018
“From the first moment that the FIFA Disciplinary Committee launched a series of proceedings on May 29, 2018, at the request of the Israel Football Association and one of the Israeli extremist right-wing organizations [PMW], it was clear to us that there is a deliberate intent to ban Palestinian Football Association Chairman Jibril Rajoub from being involved in football – something that apparently will not end with this decision, which we find very strange and whose timing we condemn… The Disciplinary Committee decision was based on the claims of an Israeli organization of settlers on the occupied lands (PMW’s office is in west Jerusalem –Ed.), who call themselves Palestinian Media Watch (Palestine Media Watch) [English name repeats in parentheses in source]. These claims are connected to statements that were attributed to Jibril Rajoub on a Lebanese TV station in 2013 (Reference to Rajoub on ebanese Al-Mayadeen TV that was one of many sources in PMW’s first complaint against Rajoub; see note below- Ed). Regarding the apparent threat to Argentinian player Lionel Messi, we wonder how legal it is that a third party [PMW/IFA] – which is not a neutral side and which is in an unresolved dispute with the Palestinian [Football] Association before FIFA (i.e., FIFA has not yet ruled on PMW’s first complaint against Rajoub and the PFA) – would submit a complaint on behalf of Messi, which is something that neither he nor the Argentinian [Football] Association has done.”

Official PA TV program puts a spotlight on PMW, showing posters depicting salaries paid to Palestinian terrorist prisoners by the PA
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Aug. 4, 2018
Official PA TV program Israeli Media in the Spotlight, on Israeli TV Channel 20 report on the activities of Israeli organizations – including PMW – to stop the money paid by the PA to terrorists and their families, which have led to changes in Israeli policy including the legislation of a law to deduct the terrorist salaries from the tax money Israel collects for the PA; see note below.
The Channel 20 report in Hebrew has been subtitled in Arabic.

Visual:
PMW fliers about the salaries paid to terrorists by the PA are shown.

Law to deduct terrorist salaries from PA tax money - Israeli law stating that the PA payments to terrorists and the families of dead terrorists is a financial incentive to terror. The law instructs the state to deduct and freeze the amount of money the PA pays in salaries to imprisoned terrorists and families of "Martyrs" from the tax money Israel collects for the PA. Should the PA stop these payments for a full year, the Israeli government would have the option of giving all or part of the frozen money to the PA. The law was enacted on July 2, 2018.
During the parliamentary vote, the law's sponsor Avi Dichter said: “The Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee received much help in its deliberations... from Palestinian Media Watch who provided us with authentic data that enabled productive and professional deliberations, nuances that are very difficult to achieve without precise data.” [Israeli Parliament website, July 2, 2018]

PA TV hits back at PMW: “An extremist Zionist NGO with teams that work around the clock… [and] runs propaganda campaigns against the Palestinian leadership”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, July 9, 2018

Official PA TV program
Israeli Media in the Spotlight, commentary on PMW after showing interview on Israeli Channel 20 with PMW Director Itamar Marcus, PMW legal advisor Maurice Hirsch, and a PMW translator. Aired on July 7 and July 9, 2018

Official PA TV host: “They [PMW staff] even watch cooking programs on PA TV, and monitor everything that is published in the Palestinian newspapers. They are former intelligence officers in the occupation army who work at the Palestinian Media Watch center. This is an extremist Zionist NGO with teams that work around the clock in order to monitor the Palestinian media outlets, and is located in occupied Jerusalem. In fact, this organization runs propaganda campaigns against the Palestinian leadership. The Zionist organization receives funding from bodies that are affiliated with the Israeli right. It defines itself as an Israeli research institute that broadly researches Palestinian society by monitoring and analyzing the Palestinian media outlets and school books. The following translated report [from Israeli TV] will show the work method of this organization, which strives to defame the Palestinians.”

He emphasized that the one that should be held responsible is the occupation, which has murdered hundreds of children and students… Yesterday, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education… [also] honored a group of male and female principals of schools that take initiative and excel, with the participation of Minister of Education and Higher Education Sabri Saidam… Saidam spoke about the brutal incitement campaign that the occupation is leading against the education sector, and particularly about the targeting of the Palestinian curricula. PA Deputy Education Minister: Israel is attacking the Palestinian curriculum, by claiming that it educates kids to hate
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Feb. 11, 2018
Official PA TV program Palestine This Morning, on Israeli opposition to the PA school curriculum, hosting PA Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Basri Saleh

PA Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Basri Saleh: “We have witnessed attacks since the first day the national curriculum began with us in 2000. These attacks have continued, and they also have always had political goals that strive to harm the Palestinian political rule and the Palestinian people, and to sully the name of the Palestinian education system – as you said – with the claim that the system educates the Palestinian children to hate, and also attempts to sow within them something that could lead them to terror in the future, and that it also attempts to erase from the map that which is called ‘Israel,’ or what they think needs to be clear in the minds of the Palestinians, and likewise other topics that have been really prominent in all the reports that the Israelis have presented to the world, and through which they have attempted to spread this biased propaganda against the Palestinian education system in general, and against the conduct of the teachers… They are attempting as much as possible to present a fake picture, while completely ignoring how they are poisoning their own children.”
Official PA radio upset by PMW reports, accuses PMW of "incitement campaign" and “tricky Zionist discourse”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 25, 2018
PMW has repeatedly exposed incitement to violence on official PA radio. See here and here for examples

Headline: "The Voice of Palestine: Our coverage will continue despite the Israeli incitement against us"
"Director-General of [the official PA radio station] The Voice of Palestine Bassam Daghlas said that 'The incitement campaign that the Israeli center Palestinian Media Watch is waging against The Voice of Palestine radio station is not the first case, as it has been subject to similar attacks in the past.' … He also emphasized that 'Our media message is clear and will not change, and if they consider playing national songs incitement, they can think what they want. We will continue in our work to convey what is happening on the ground and our full and comprehensive media coverage of events, whether in the Palestinian territories or by monitoring everything related to the members of our people abroad.'
In the same context, the [PA] Ministry of Information… said yesterday [Jan. 24, 2018] in a statement that the repeated claims of the Israeli center [PMW] are a part of the deceptive Zionist discourse - that is full of incitement and that is the sole sponsor of terror and the ugly racism – and [that PMW’s claims] are a broken and worn out record."

PA Ministry of Information: PMW is waging “wild incitement campaign” against PA radio station Voice of Palestine
Source: PA Ministry of Information website, Jan. 24, 2018
“The [PA] Ministry of Information believes that the wild incitement campaign that the Israeli center called Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) is waging against [the official PA] radio station The Voice of Palestine projects on the other – whoever it may be – what happens within its own entity [Israel], and that it [PMW] already waged other attacks against the Palestinian, Arab, and international media.
[The Ministry of Information] emphasized that the Voice of Palestine and all of our media outlets are the podiums of Palestine’s freedom and the eyes that stand watch in order to persecute the occupation’s terror against our people, our land, and the sites holy to Islam and Christianity.
The ministry said that this methodical campaign took place several days before the celebrations of World Radio Day that takes place every Feb. 13. The ministry said that the repeated claims of the Israeli center [PMW] are a part of the deceptive Zionist discourse – that is full of incitement and that is the sole sponsor of terror and the ugly racism – and [that PMW’s claims] are a broken and worn out record...”

Head of Palestinian NGO: Protest by donor countries over naming a youth center after a terrorist, that PMW exposed, is an attempt to make Palestinians accept “the occupier’s narrative”
Source: The Voice of Palestine, official PA radio station, Oct. 31, 2017
The Voice of Palestine, the official PA radio station, program On the Table, on foreign donor states cutting funding for the Women’s Affairs Technical Committee (WATC) after it named a center in the village of Burqa, north of Ramallah, after terrorist Dalal Mughrabi – who led the murder of 37, 12 of them children, which was exposed by PMW:

Official PA radio host: “The funders are placing conditions on our receipt of the funding, and accusing us of incitement and terror due to the naming of the women’s center after Martyr (Shahida) Dalal Mughrabi (i.e., terrorist who led murder of 37, 12 of them children)… Why does Martyr Dalal Mughrabi’s name arouse the anger of the funding bodies with which you have been partners side by side in a number of plans and projects over several years?" [...]

Women’s Affairs Technical Committee board of directors Head Samia Bamia: “The naming was by the residents of [the village of] Burqa, the women of Burqa. The staff [of the committee] had no role [in it], and had no right to tell the residents which name to choose… Despite the fact that we are working in the field of women’s rights, they came to settle accounts with us over our thoughts about our nationality and its defense. I think that we need to be more alert. What is happening now and in stages – although now it is intensifying – is an attempt to brand our national consciousness. An attempt [to make] me not only accept an agenda that is connected to development, but also make me accept the occupier’s narrative, which these [funding] states are adopting… I think that the stage is more dangerous now, because they are not only taking the land and the future from you by force, but

Palestinian news agency claims PMW bulletin on Palestinian presentation of terrorist who killed 3 as compassionate is “incitement”
Source: PNN Palestine News Network (independent Palestinian news agency), Aug. 3, 2017
Headline: “Israel launched an incitement offensive against the official Palestinian media”
“Israeli governmental institutions launched a wide-scale incitement offensive against the official Palestinian media outlets, including [official] PA TV and the [official PA] daily Al-Hayat [Al-Jadida], and said that they are institutions that spread what they described as terror due to what the official Palestinian TV broadcast regarding the person who carried out the Halamish operation (i.e., terrorist Omar Al-Abd, murdered 3).
The Israeli institute for monitoring Palestinian media, which is known as [Palestinian] Media Watch (i.e., PMW), said that PA TV, its hosts, and its guests described the one who carried out the Halamish operation as merciful and humane due to the fact that he did not kill the children in the house he broke into two weeks ago, where he killed a soldier and his parents (sic., the terrorist murdered a grandfather and two of his adult children, not any soldiers) but did not kill the children."
