Praise for Palestinian mother whose 4 sons are imprisoned for terror-related crimes

Ma’an TV reports on the fast-breaking meal for prisoners’ relatives and foreign diplomats:
Ma’an TV host: “For the last 30 years, Latifa Abu Hmeid from the Al-Amari [refugee] camp hasn’t gathered around one table with her sons for Ramadan, because her sons were wanted, and afterward imprisoned, and sentenced to life, and so Al-Khansa of Palestine spends another Ramadan without her children.”
Mother of four prisoners Latifa Abu Hmeid: “I am a mother whose four sons were sentenced to life, and at the moment, each son is in a different prison, only I visit them now, and I can’t always visit them. As far as I’m concerned, Ramadan or not, it’s a regular day. I don’t have a Ramadan table to serve, with my children gathered around it.”
Ma’an TV host: “The suffering of the Abu Hmeid family from the Al-Amari [refugee] camp and the story of five of its sons, four of them serving life sentences, and the fifth who died as a Martyr, this suffering was felt at the fast-breaking meal of consuls and ambassadors to Palestine.”
Director of PLO Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs and PA Parliament Member Issa Karake: “This is a political message, especially in the presence of ambassadors, consuls, and guests, a political message in which we assert that the issue of the imprisoned Palestinians is a central issue for us in every just peace [agreement] in the region.”
