Official Fatah Spokesman Osama Al-Qawasmi said in a press statement that the participation of Secretary-General of the [Nahdlatul Ulama] Association Yahya Staquf in this conference in occupied Jerusalem constitutes a betrayal of the religion, the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the Palestinian people, and the Arab and Islamic nations. Al-Qawasmi demanded that the senior Indonesian officials and the Indonesian people, which is honorable and supports the Palestinian cause, hold accountable those who have sold their souls to Satan and agreed to serve as pawns in the hands of the Zionists and Israelis.”

Official PA daily columnist: Israel is the enemy of all the Arabs and targets all the Arab states
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Dec. 6, 2017

Special broadcast on official PA TV after US President Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Official PA daily columnist Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul: "I call on all the Arab brothers - if they want peace and war on terror. After all, Israel is their enemy [too], and not [just] the enemy of the Palestinian Arab people. It not only targets the Palestinian Arab people, but it targets all the Arab states. ISIS and [Jabhat] Al-Nusra and all the Jihadi and Takfiri organizations are an Israeli-American product. If [the Arabs] are true brothers and consider the Palestinian issue the central issue of the Arabs, they must take responsibility."

Op-ed in PA daily: Fatah has not recognized Israel
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 11, 2017
Excerpt of an op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, a regular columnist for the official PA daily

“Dr. Muhsin Saleh, director of the Al-Zeitouna Center in Beirut that is affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood, published an article titled The Palestinian Reconciliation Game, which was published on the Al-Jazeera.net website on Oct. 2, 2017…
As he continued to drown in the bog of incitement against the bearer of the national project’s flag, he accused the Fatah Movement in particular of conceding 80% of historical Palestine, recognizing Israel and its legality, and basing its platform on the two-state solution. This was while the Hamas and Islamic Jihad leaderships were refusing to concede any part of Palestine or recognize Israel. This is not at all correct, as Fatah - even though I am not a Fatah member - has not recognized Israel and its platform is clear and open, and you can even go and check it. The one that recognized [Israel] is the PLO, the legal and sole representative of the Palestinian people.”

Fatah Central Committee member and Fatah Commissioner of National Relations Azzam Al-Ahmad: "It is the Palestinian people’s right to wage the struggle against the occupation using all the methods, but there should be a consensus on its form. We have not eliminated any method from our considerations, nor from our principles since the [Fatah] Launch [in 1965] until today: Popular resistance, armed struggle, and negotiations. If violence breaks out again, Israel will be responsible for it."

PLO Chief Negotiator condemn US and Israeli demand that next Palestinian government recognize Israel
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 6, 2017
Headline: "Erekat condemned the demands of the American and Israeli bodies that the next Palestinian government recognize Israel"
"Secretary of the PLO Executive Committee, [Fatah Central Committee member and PLO Chief Negotiator] Saeb Erekat expressed his condemnation of the fact that several political parties in Israel and the US are demanding that the next Palestinian [PA] government recognize Israel. He demanded that [Israel] first recognize the State of Palestine within the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, as that is the only way to reach a final agreement through which the State of Israel will live alongside the State of Palestine in security and peace…
He added: ‘Since when do [political] parties demand to recognize other states? Recognition is a matter of states and governments, and not of parties, and the truth is that not only has the State of Israel not recognized the State of Palestine, but rather the occupation government is currently destroying the possibility that such a state will exist.’"

“The Palestinian factions condemned the harmful statements of Sudanese Minister of Investment Mubarak Al-Mahdi against the Palestinian people today, Thursday [Aug. 24, 2017].
Al-Mahdi supported establishing ties between his country and Israel, and normalizing the bilateral ties between them, during an interview with a Sudanese satellite [TV] station. In an interview with Sudania 24 TV on Aug. 20, 2017, Sudanese Minister of Investment Mubarak Al-Mahdi said: “There is no problem normalizing relations with Israel; the Palestinians normalized relations with Israel, even Hamas is talking to Israel. The Palestinians receive tax money from Israel and electricity from Israel. The Palestinians sit with Israel and talk to Israel. They have disputes but they sit with them.” He also stated that: “The Arab countries trafficked in the Palestinian issue for domestic purposes The Palestinian issue has held back the Arab world and Arab regimes are taking advantage of it to oppress their own peoples in the name of the struggle for Palestine.” [Haaretz, Aug. 22, 2017]

Fatah official: Let’s revoke the recognition of Israel
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Aug. 15, 2017
Fatah Central Committee member, Fatah Commissioner of Mobilization and Organization in the West Bank, and PLO Central Council member Jamal Muhaisen: "The political leadership is the one who decides at every stage which means of struggle can bring achievements to our people. At the present time, considering the actions of the Israeli government that violate all of the agreements and all of the international decisions, and insist on leaving the Palestinian people under occupation – and that is something we will never accept – and therefore the [political] system needs to invest greater efforts, and that is what will strengthen the ability of the system to continue the resistance in a steady manner, and not in the manner of outbreaks here and there... I say that we must convene the [Palestinian] National Council (i.e., the legislative body of the PLO) in order to revoke the recognition of the State of Israel, unless there will be mutual recognition between two states - the State of Israel and the Palestinian state."

Fatah official: “"The enemy of the region, the enemy of the Palestinians, and of the Arab and Islamic nation is Israel”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, July 23, 2017
Official PA TV program Topic of the Day, on PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' decision to freeze relations with Israel, hosting Fatah Central Committee member and PLO Central Council member Jamal Muhaisen

Fatah Central Committee member and PLO Central Council member Jamal Muhaisen: "The enemy of the region, the enemy of the Palestinians, and of the Arab and Islamic nation is Israel, and not any state that the US and Israel are trying to start wars [against]. I say to you: Our enemy is not Iran. The enemy of the Arab and Islamic nation is not Iran; the enemy of the Arab nation is Israel… It cannot be that all of the armies that have been prepared [for war] for 50 years at the expense of Arab money and at the expense of the bread of the Arab citizen, and all of the military power of the Arab nation will not be turned against the occupation. If this does not happen, every person of rank [in the Arab armies] will lose his honor."
Fatah official: “The Israeli occupation is an enemy of the first order;” calls to “protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque” and to “resist the occupation”
Source: Safa, independent news agency, July 22, 2017
"Fatah Movement Deputy Chairman [and Fatah Central Committee member] Mahmoud Al-Aloul said that the Palestinian decision regarding what is happening in Jerusalem is clear, and it is to freeze all relations with the occupation, in all their forms and types... The Fatah deputy chairman added that the Israeli occupation is an enemy of the first order, and it must not exploit the freezing of Palestinian relations with it in order to punish the Palestinian leadership… Al-Aloul directed a message to the Palestinian people and said: 'Let us all unite around a unified position against the occupation, and we must understand that our basic argument is with the Israeli occupation alone. We must join together to protect our land, our Al-Aqsa Mosque, and our Palestinian people. We hope that the Hamas Movement will respond to the repeated call of the president to end the [Fatah-Hamas] rift, because this moment is a dangerous moment and the moment of truth… Al-Aloul called to resist the occupation, as it is not possible to reach any understandings with it in light of the unfair and ongoing Israeli actions against the members of the Palestinian people. The Fatah Central Committee is the one that led the events yesterday in the West Bank, and it is forbidden to submit to the policy of creating facts on the ground that Israel is imposing on us."

E. Jerusalem residents refuse Jerusalem municipality’s offer of building a football field because of “normalization”
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, July 10, 2017
Official PA TV program Buy Time in Jerusalem, on the southeastern Jerusalem neighborhood of Jabel Mukaber, hosting Jabel Mukaber resident Attorney Raed Bashir

Jabel Mukaber resident Attorney Raed Bashir: “When we talk about issuing demands and turning to the occupation’s [Jerusalem] Municipality, often they want us to make requests and want to give us [what we've requested]. However, there are serious obstacles. For example, several times over the years the municipality has proposed that it would establish a [football] field here, with stands and lighting and all that is required. But such a proposal definitely has a price, as what it means is that they will develop it, and the field will be theirs, and at any point in time it could become an army camp or police station because it is public land belonging to the municipality. That is something unacceptable, because it’s normalization and will have negative consequences, especially since the sons of the neighborhood completely reject any [Israeli] presence and do not recognize the municipality as the Jerusalem Municipality, but rather it is the occupation’s municipality.”
Abbas’ deputy says “resistance in all forms” is a “legal right,” – “all forms” includes the use of violence
Source: Amad, independent Palestinian news website, Apr. 1, 2017
Headline: "Al-Aloul: There is a gap between Fatah and the people, the relations with the occupation must be cut off, and my being chosen as [Fatah] Deputy Chairman is not ‘temporary’"

"[Fatah Central Committee member] Mahmoud Al-Aloul, who was recently chosen as deputy to Palestinian [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas denied that this is an honorary position or a temporary position (i.e., the position was said to be for one year only).
Al-Aloul verified in an interview with the London newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat that there are 'gaps between the movement and the Palestinian street.'

The transcript of the interview:

[Q:] You said that the world is waiting to understand [US President Donald] Trump, but can the Palestinians wait any more after 20 years of negotiations? Isn't it necessary to go in a different direction?
[Fatah Deputy Chairman and Fatah Central Committee member Mahmoud Al-Aloul:] Negotiations are necessary in every conflict, here or anywhere else in the world. There is a conflict with this occupation, and this is a bitter conflict that has lasted for years. When we felt the negotiations were absurd, we stopped them. We will manage this conflict in all of its forms.
[Q:] However, you stopped the negotiations without any alternatives. There are those who are calling the resistance the alternative.
[Al-Aloul:] The resistance is legal, and the main points of Fatah's political statement say that the resistance, in all of its forms (i.e., term used by Palestinians to refer to means that included violence), is a legal right. However, each stage has an appropriate form. At this stage, the appropriate form is popular resistance (i.e., Palestinian leaders have used this term to refer to violence -Ed). We see this and are using it.
[Q:] Do you see that popular resistance exists?
[Al-Aloul:] There is present, impre
