PA Mufti praises Ribat fighters for preventing Jews from “defil[ing]” Al-Aqsa Mosque

“General Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories and preacher at the Al-Aqsa Mosque Sheikh Muhammad Hussein condemned the occupation authorities’ intention to consider the Al-Aqsa Ribat fighters (Murabitin - i.e., those carrying out Ribat, religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic) an ‘illegal organization,’ in order to deny them the honor of carrying out Ribat, and to allow the Jewish extremists to invade it [the Al-Aqsa Mosque] and defile it. Likewise, he praised those who carry out Ribat, investing their efforts in fulfilling their obligation to protect the destination of their Prophet’s [Muhammad] Night Journey… Hussein called to increase presence and Ribat at the Al-Aqsa [Mosque] and to pray there a lot, in order that it overflow with people and those who love it.”
