Jibril Rajoub
Jibril Rajoub is Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee (since Feb. 15, 2017). He is also Head of the Supreme Council for Sport and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Palestinian Football Association, and Chairman of the Palestinian Olympic Committee. He is a former member of the Fatah Revolutionary Council (until Aug. 2009), the former Deputy-Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee (2009-2017), the former National Security Advisor to Yasser Arafat, rank of Brigadier-General, and the former Head of the West Bank Preventive Security Forces (1994-2002)

Jibril Rajoub was sentenced to life in prison in 1970 for throwing a grenade at an Israeli army truck. He was released in the Jibril Agreement - A deal between the Israeli government and the terrorist organization the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), led by Ahmed Jibril. On May 21, 1985, Israel released 1,150 Palestinian prisoners, including terrorist murderers, in exchange for three Israeli soldiers who had been taken hostage by the PFLP.

In 2015, the PA submitted a request to FIFA to suspend Israel, organized and promoted by Rajoub. PMW published a report, "PA sports: Prohibiting peace and glorifying terror," showing the irony of Rajoub's request, since the PA uses sports to further entrench the conflict with Israel and to send the message that murdering Israeli civilians is honorable and heroic. In 2016 and early 2017, PMW released two reports, "The Jibril Rajoub File" and "The Jibril Rajoub File: Special report for FIFA"  that showed Rajoub's support for terror and opposition to peacebuilding between Israelis and Palestinians.
Fatah leader calls for storing weapons for attack that all Palestinians will participate in
Source: Al-Quds, Oct. 3, 2014
"Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee Jibril Rajoub stressed that the Palestinian leadership had decided to close the subject of bilateral relations with the occupation (i.e., Israel)... He added that the Fatah Central Committee had decided that future relations with Israel would be as those between an occupier and a people under occupation; that is, between enemies. Rajoub stressed that [although] the Palestinian leadership would not oppose the weapons of the Resistance, 'they must remain in storage, without military demonstrations in the streets, and when there is an attack, the battle will be one in all the Palestinian territories, in which all members of the Palestinian people will participate.'"

We will not harm it, go after it, or keep track of it. But could you store it away? At the moment of truth, we will all enlist together, we will all fight together."

Deputy Secretary of Fatah: Football match between Israeli and Palestinian children is "a crime against humanity"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Sept. 8, 2014
Headline: "Rajoub: 'Normalization in sports with the Zionist occupation is a crime'"
"[Deputy Secretary of Fatah's Central Committee,] Chairman of the Olympic Committee, and Chairman of the [Palestinian] Football Association Jibril Rajoub said any activity of normalization in sports with the Zionist enemy is a crime against humanity. He said that the position of the sports leadership on the issue is perfectly clear.
Rajoub's statements were made in response to a sports activity held a few days ago (i.e., a football match between Palestinian and Israeli children sponsored by the Israeli Peres Center for Peace)...
Rajoub emphasized the following points:
1. The game was an Israeli attempt to cover up their crimes against [Palestinian] athletes. It is a disgrace to use sports for this purpose.

2. If there are Israeli parties who believe sport is a means of spreading values and peace, they should come out against the occupation's crimes against Palestinian athletes, whether the restriction of their movement, the destruction of their [sports] facilities or the physical elimination of dozens of them...

3. For a while now the Palestinian sports leadership and community - the Supreme Council for Sport and Youth Affairs, the Palestinian Olympic Committee and the Palestinian Football Association - have opposed such activities.

4. I demand that all individuals and institutions distance themselves from such activities, especially because their recurrence would arouse disgust and aversion towards all members of the [Palestinian] sports community."

Palestinian official calls friendly football match between Israeli and Palestinian youth a "crime and an unpatriotic and immoral act"
Source: Sama, independent Palestinian news agency, Sept. 3, 2014
"Palestinian Olympic Committee member Abd Al-Salam Haniyeh denounced the match held between Palestinian and Israeli children. He considered it a crime and an unpatriotic and immoral act. Haniyeh said these matches are completely unacceptable to the sports community, the Olympic Committee, the Supreme Council for Sport and Youth Affairs and the Palestinian Football Association.
He added: 'The [Palestinian] organizers of this match betrayed the blood of the children of Gaza and of the Martyrs (Shahid), which has yet to dry a week after the end of the barbaric Israeli aggression, which resulted in the deaths of more than 2,150 Martyrs, the wounding of more than 13,000 people and thousands of homes that were brought down on the heads of their inhabitants.
Haniyeh demanded that Chairman of the Palestinian Football Association Jibril Rajoub immediately interrogate the [Palestinian] organizers of the match, settle the account with them and prosecute them on charges of serious treason against the blood of the Martyrs and violation of the decisions made by the Palestinian sports community's leadership.
It should be noted that the sports meeting between Palestinian and Israeli youth was held in an Israeli settlement a few kilometers from the Gaza Strip's border with Israel. The meeting was organized by the Peres Center for Peace."

PA leader: "Am I stopping you from slaughtering a settlement?"
Source: Awdah independent Palestinian TV channel, Aug. 13, 2014

Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee Jibril Rajoub:‎ ‎
“I’m telling everyone: Fatah has ‎decided that our relations with the Israelis are relations between enemies. There is no kind of ‎coordination between the Israelis and us. Everyone can be certain that any form of mutual ‎coordination ended a day after they declared war on the National Unity Government... OK, brother, ‎here is the occupation, am I stopping you from slaughtering a settlement? No one is stopping anyone. ‎Don’t lie and tell me: ‘the [PA] Security Forces and Mahmoud Abbas,’ and so on [stop you]. Drop it, ‎OK? No one is stopping anyone. Our political decision is resistance in the occupied territories in order ‎to bring an end to the occupation [using] all forms of resistance.”‎

Fatah official: Israelis are "the new Nazis"
Source: Facebook page of Jibril Rajoub, Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee, Aug. 6, 2014
Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee, Jibril Rajoub:‎ “What happened in the Gaza Strip… is another aspect of Nazism. Few ‎European cities and states in the 1940s experienced what Gaza has ‎experienced. All manifestations and means of official terrorism were revealed in ‎this fascist, Nazi Israeli mentality… We will drag this government and these ‎fascists, the new Nazis, to all international forums.”‎

PA leader Jibril Rajoub: Israel is carrying out a "mass extermination [in Gaza] as the Nazis did in Europe in the 1940s"
Source: Awdah independent Palestinian TV channel, July 14, 2014

Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee Jibril Rajoub: "Never before this assault - not in 2012, not in 2008 and not in all our history - did the occupation have the courage to carry out mass extermination as the Nazis did in Europe in the 1940s, while the world remains silent - except for a few voices here and there - and our Arab home front is paralyzed..."
Awdah TV host: "In what ways can the Arab response - if we can call it that - be strengthened, while they are saying in Israel, 'what is happening in Gaza
is one percent of what is happening in Syria and Iraq and Libya'?"
Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee Jibril Rajoub: "Disgraceful, those are despicable words, despicable as they [the Israelis] are. [Arab civil wars] are not their concern and not mine. Let it [Israel] also say that it is one percent of what Hitler did. Fine? Let it also say so. Let it admit that it is doing to the Palestinians - sorry for the expression - what Hitler did to them [the Jews]."

Fatah official justifies kidnapping: "If they don't want to be kidnapped, don't ‎want stones to be thrown at them and ‎don't want to be attacked, they should ‎leave, leave our land‎"
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, June 26, 2014
Official PA TV program The State of ‎Politics interviewed Deputy Secretary of ‎the Fatah Central Committee and ‎Chairman of the Palestinian Football ‎Association Jibril Rajoub
Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central ‎Committee Jibril Rajoub: “There are ‎three kidnapped Israelis. Kidnapped or ‎not... Three ‎Israelis have disappeared. They were at ‎the wrong place at the wrong time. They ‎are in occupied territories, the Palestinian ‎people’s territories... At first, the whole world identified with the ‎story of the three settlers, none of whom ‎should have been [in] our [territory], as I ‎said, alright?‎
None of them should have been [here]. ‎This is our land.”‎
Official PA TV host: “Their very presence ‎‎[there] was illegal.”‎
Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central ‎Committee Jibril Rajoub: “This is our ‎land and they need to think and leave it. If ‎they don’t want to be kidnapped, don’t ‎want stones to be thrown at them and ‎don’t want to be attacked, they should ‎leave, leave our land. Then they should ‎see whether or not there are security ‎guarantees… ‎
Of course, they frightened all of Europe ‎with the story of the Holocaust, and they ‎are [now] doing the same thing to us. We ‎are 12 million: a little over 6 outside and a ‎little over 5 inside the homeland. 70 ‎percent of our people in Gaza are ‎refugees, alright? In the West Bank, a ‎third of the population are also refugees, ‎and even half of those who are in the ‎‎1948 [territories] (i.e., Israel) are refugees, ‎even in their [own] country.”‎

PA official: "Israel understands only the language of kidnappings"
Source: Wattan News Agency, June 19, 2014
“In an exclusive statement to the Wattan News Agency Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee Jibril Rajoub said… ‘I do not support the kidnapping of civilians, whether Palestinians or Israelis, but it seems that Israel understands only the language of kidnappings in order to allow us to free our prisoners, since it has insisted on not freeing them.’ He added: ‘Kidnapping soldiers has become the only solution Israel understands for freeing our prisoners, whose numbers are increasing every day.’”

Note: This statement was made during the search for Israeli teens Eyal Yifrach, 19, Gilad Shaar, 16, and Naftali Frenkel, 16, who were kidnapped on June 12, 2014 while hitchhiking in the West Bank. The boys' bodies were found by Israeli security forces near Hebron on June 30, 2014. They appeared to have been shot to death soon after the abduction. Several articles published in the official PA daily and items posted on Fatah's official Facebook page called the three kidnapped Israelis "soldiers," but in fact two, aged 16, were in high school, and the one aged 19 was also a student.
Fatah official: "Mr. Netanyahu is the lord of terrorism"
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, June 2, 2014
Official PA TV program The State of Politics hosted Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee and Head of the Supreme Council for Sport and Youth Affairs Jibril Rajoub
Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee Jibril Rajoub: “We expected Netanyahu to bark [about the unity government], and this doesn’t bother us. However, the important [thing] in this regard is that Netanyahu has not convinced anyone about this issue, [not] even the Americans…”
PA TV host [interrupts him]: “Despite the huge [information] campaign he is leading.”
Jibril Rajoub: “Experience shows that [Netanyahu] has proven that he’s a liar who slanders. He wants to direct the conflict, not end it. That is, for 9 months, [Netanyahu said]: ‘Who does Mahmoud Abbas represent? Where is Gaza?’ Now [he says]: ‘How can Mahmoud Abbas forge an alliance with Hamas?’ This is because he… [PA TV host interrupts him] Because he, his allies and his coalition – are they not the height of racism and fascism? And, my brothers, Mr. Netanyahu is the lord of terrorism.’”
Fatah official calls all of Israel a "settlement"

Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee Jibril Rajoub’s speech on the occasion of Nakba Day (i.e., ‘the catastrophe,’ Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) in Qatar.
Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee Jibril Rajoub: “Believe me that this [the reconciliation between Fatah and Hamas] is one of the most important and strongest reasons for strengthening our continuing presence on our land, and this is the most important weapon in the confrontation with the settlement, this cancer which paved its way 66 years ago in an attempt to erase Palestine – as a land, history and people – from the political map.”
Fatah official: Armed "resistance is still [in] the genetic code of all Fatah ‎members‎"
Source: YouTube, Apr. 24, 2014
El-Hadath, ‎ sister channel of Al Arabiya ‎News, posted an interview with Deputy ‎Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee ‎Jibril Rajoub to Youtube.‎
Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central ‎Committee Jibril Rajoub: “We were the ones who led the ‎armed struggle, and the resistance is still ‎part of our national principles. ‎Nevertheless, we agreed on May 4, 2011 – ‎all factions of the Palestinian activity, and ‎it was [Hamas leader] Khaled Mashaal ‎who read out the plan on their behalf – ‎‎[we agreed] that at this stage, popular ‎resistance was a strategic choice. We are ‎a project of liberation, not a project of ‎suicide. We are a project for the ‎establishment of a state, not a project that ‎won’t lead anywhere, or lead to anarchy. ‎Sir, [armed] resistance is still [in] the ‎genetic code of all Fatah members. But ‎the resistance our people will be able to ‎endure is a resistance that encircles the ‎occupation..."
El-Hadath interviewer: “That is, Fatah is ‎not against the [armed] resistance; it ‎‎[resistance] is one of its principles, but the ‎choice at this time is the negotiation ‎option.”‎...
Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central ‎Committee Jibril Rajoub: “What we agreed upon on May 4 is the ‎political plan for the Palestinian people’s ‎struggle. The Palestinian state is our first ‎priority; popular resistance has the ‎consent of the people... I hope that ‎our brothers in Hamas will understand ‎this, and that they will re-examine [things] ‎to guarantee the unity of our political ‎conduct and our struggle. Resistance as ‎an idea and as [a mode of] behavior is still ‎part of the national and organizational ‎principles of all Fatah members.”‎

Fatah official claims "one hundred percent" of leaflets supporting first Intifada "were signed by Arafat"
Source: YouTube, Mar. 8, 2014
Lecture by Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee Jibril Rajoub at a conference on popular resistance and the Israeli- Palestinian negotiations at Al-Quds University.
Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee Jibril Rajoub: “One hundred percent of the leaflets published by the Unified National Leadership [of the first Intifada] were signed by Arafat. I was the first Palestinian to be expelled after the first Intifada (i.e., the first Palestinian wave of violence against Israel, 1988-1993). From the start of the Intifada and until I came back, I was the General Commander’s (i.e., Arafat’s) Assistant on Occupied Land Affairs, and I tell you that 90 percent of the leaflets were written by Sari Nusseibeh. You don’t know this – I’m telling you.”

Note: Jibril Rajoub was sentenced to life in prison in 1970 for throwing a grenade at an Israeli army truck. He was released in the Jibril Agreement - A deal between the Israeli government and the terrorist organization the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), led by Ahmed Jibril. Fatah official: “International legitimacy allows us to resist with all means”
Source: Official PA TV Live, Feb. 26, 2014
Official PA TV Live broadcast a program under the heading, “What will happen after the negotiations?”
Deputy Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee Jibril Rajoub: “Had Fatah not taken decision-making and the Palestinian national will into its own hands using bullets, it would not have been possible for our cause to change from a refugee cause into a statehood cause. I’m not saying that on April 30 [2014] (i.e., when the negotiations with Israel are scheduled to end), we should pick up rifles and take to the streets, but neither do I rule this out – provided that the struggle be a means, and not an end. Therefore, the most important thing for us to do is… start an internal national dialogue to define our national agenda and our national strategy. In addition to the fact that the Palestinian cause, or Palestine as a state, is now on the international agenda, we have achieved something great and important over [the past] 50 years: We have attained moral supremacy over this criminal, fascist, Nazi occupation…
International legitimacy allows us to resist with all the means, including armed struggle – provided that it take place on the occupied lands, against the symbols of the occupation and the occupation, in order to bring about the end of the occupation. But this has to be a practical, realistic choice capable of harming the occupation. At the same time, I’m telling you, there will be those among us who will go out and start heating [things] up right now. Therefore, we must mold the Palestinian national consciousness in order to define the red lines. It is forbidden for anyone to define the Palestinian national agenda.”

PA officials accuse PM Sharon of murdering Arafat and other Palestinian leaders
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 12, 2014
"The Palestinians hastened to welcome the news of Sharon's death. Deputy-Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee Jibril Rajoub told [news] agency [Agence] France-Presse: 'Sharon committed crimes against the Palestinian people and he is a murderer and responsible for the murder of deceased leader Yasser Arafat.' He added: 'We wished for him to be put on trial before the [International] Criminal Court in The Hague for his crimes against the Palestinian people and its leaders... Sharon established the official terror network against our people and he is the hero of Israel's state terrorism crimes in the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps in Lebanon in 1982.' In addition, he said that he [Ariel Sharon] 'is responsible for the murder of Arafat, of Secretary-General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine [PFLP] Abu Ali Mustafa and of Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, as well as for the murder attempt on Khaled Mashaal, head of the Political Bureau of Hamas and on many Palestinian and Arab leaders.'
Fatah Central Committee member Sultan Abu Al-Einein, who was a PLO military commander in 1982, said: 'Sharon is a war criminal and a murderer and was directly involved in a number of massacres carried out against the Palestinians, beginning with the massacres at Deir Yassin and Qibya, continuing with the Sabra and Shatila massacre and ending with his final crime, which is the murder of Yasser Arafat... I wished for the day to come on which we would put Sharon on trial before an international court but now he is dead. I'm not sorry for his death and the death of murderers and criminals like him, whose crimes still live on today in our blood.'"
