Headline: "Al-Habbash at the Baku Summit: Resistance against the occupation is a legal right, and peace will be achieved by the liberation of the State of Palestine"

"Supreme Shari’ah Judge of Palestine [and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Shari'ah Justice] Mahmoud Al-Habbash said that the Palestinian resistance against the Israeli occupation is a legal right that our people is carrying out in order to get rid of the occupation, achieve national independence, and establish the State of Palestine. Al-Habbash called on the religious leaders participating in the global summit of religious leaders (i.e., Summit of World Religious Leaders) conference in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, to raise their firm voice in order to remove the injustice being inflicted on the Palestinian people…

He emphasized in Palestine's speech, which he gave at the conference, that the Palestinian resistance against the occupation is not directed against the Jews due to their religion or faith, but rather against the Israeli occupation, injustice, and aggression."
