Israel is showing "contempt for the feelings of more than a billion Muslims" accuses PA Minister for Jerusalem Affairs

Headline: “Al-Husseini: The occupation’s demolition of historic buildings in Jerusalem is a crime and contempt for Muslims’ feelings”

“Minister for Jerusalem Affairs and Jerusalem District Governor Adnan Al-Husseini said that the fact that the occupation has begun to demolish historic buildings in the Al-Buraq (i.e., Western Wall) Plaza is a crime against the holy and historic places and [shows] contempt for the feelings of more than a billion Muslims.

He demanded that concrete and serious steps be taken to provide immediate protection for the Al-Aqsa Mosque and other Islamic and Christian holy places. He revealed the methods of forgery and fabrication to which the holy city is subjected, [methods] that are designed to cut [Jerusalem] off from its historic Palestinian, Arab, Islamic, and Christian surroundings. Also, he warned of the ramifications of Israeli plans for the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Al-Husseini emphasized the ethnic right of Muslims to the Wall and its surroundings, derived from its connection to [Muhammad’s] Night Journey and Ascension that then caused it (the Wall) to be ingrained in one of the principles of the Islamic religion.”
