Fatah boasts connection of PA security forces to current terror escalation

Headline: “Fatah: An entire system is attempting to provoke strife in the Palestinian ranks, there are elements whom the struggle that Fatah is embodying harms their image”

“General Political Commissioner and Official Spokesperson of the [PA] Security Establishment Maj. Gen. Talal Dweikat said in response to what happened yesterday, Wednesday [March 8, 2023], at the funeral procession of Martyr Abd Al-Fattah Kharousha (i.e., terrorist, murdered 2 Israeli brothers) in Nablus: ‘First of all, we note that we in the security establishment are proud of all our people’s Martyrs, regardless of their political affiliation. We ask Allah that He have mercy on them, and we emphasize that we are taking great pains to honor them in a manner that is appropriate for the sacrifices they have made.’

Dweikat told [the official PA news agency] WAFA that last year the Palestinian [PA] Security Forces have sacrificed 20 Martyrs from among the best of their members. He added: ‘Yesterday (two days ago) [parentheses in source] while receiving the body of Martyr [Kharousha] that returned from Jenin, the city of heroism, which was received by a group of National Security Forces members in a military salute, the route of the funeral procession was decided with the Martyr’s family and the dignitaries of the Askar refugee camp. Today (yesterday) during the funeral procession from Rafidia Hospital with the body inside the ambulance, we were surprised when a group of people who are not connected to the Martyr’s family seized the Martyr’s body and put it down on the ground. An argument broke out when they sounded calls against the PA and the Security Forces, instead of cursing the occupation that is committing crimes against our people. As a result of this, Palestinian Security Forces intervened to return the body to the ambulance and complete the funeral procession, in order to honor Martyr Abd Al-Fattah Kharousha, Allah’s mercy upon him.’ …

Fatah Spokesman Abd Al-Fattah Doleh (i.e., terrorist, involved in murder of 1) emphasized that there is an entire system that is attempting to provoke strife in the national ranks…

He explained that the struggle that Fatah is embodying in the West Bank harms the image of elements who are maintaining the ceasefire with the occupation in the Gaza Strip (i.e., Hamas).
