PA PM accuses Israel of immunity for “crimes,” calls for international trials

Headline: “Shtayyeh: The occupation is continuing to commit crimes because it is protected from punishment”

“[PA] Prime Minister Muhammad Shtayyeh said that the fact that the occupation is continuing to commit crimes stems from how the criminals feel that they are protected from punishment. He demanded to put the occupation soldiers on trial internationally.

In a press release yesterday, Tuesday [Aug. 15, 2023], Shtayyeh said that the Israeli terror machine is not ceasing to commit more and more crimes in the series of acts of murder, arson, and erasing, which the leaders of the military establishment and the political establishment in Israel are openly committing. The latest of them was the murder of young Muhammad Ribhi Njoum and child Qusai Omar Suleiman Al-Walaji (i.e., terrorists, shot at Israeli soldiers), without attributing any importance to the international laws.

The prime minister expressed warm and sincere condolences to the families of Martyrs Njoum and Al-Walaji.”
