PA daily columnist promotes Arafat libel: Former Israeli PM Sharon killed Arafat
Columnist for official PA daily Adel Abd Al-Rahman:
"There must be an acknowledgement, in a responsible manner – and the Palestinian leadership should be the first to admit – that the Oslo Accords, despite positive sparks here and there, were not accords that reflect the Palestinian aspiration… They were like a great minefield in which the leadership placed itself and the people. Proof of this is that since their declaration in 1993 and their signing on Sept. 13, 1993 at the White House, the Palestinian people has not taken a single step forward. On the contrary: in 2002, [then-Israeli Prime Minister] Sharon carried out a clear war crime when he re-occupied the West Bank, and killed the leader of the Palestinian people [Yasser Arafat], along with others."
