Special Report for FIFA: The Rajoub File

Incriminating report calls on FIFA to show PFA Chairman Jibril Rajoub the red card

The Jibril Rajoub File

This comprehensive PMW report documents that Jibril Rajoub has consistently supported terror and even incited to murder. The report includes documentation of Rajoub's support for attacks during the recent terror wave (2015-2016); his use of his title as Chairman of the Palestine Olympic Committee when glorifying terror; and his prohibiting Palestinians from participating in peacebuilding sports activities with Israelis.

The PA's billion dollar fraud

The PA deceived Western donor countries, falsely claiming to have stopped paying salaries to terrorist prisoners, and reaping more than a billion dollars/year in return.

PMW letter to Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs: Fatah promotes terror

PMW sent a letter to the Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs responding to his statement that Fatah is moderate. PMW proves that Fatah engages in terror glorification and promotion and calls on the Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs to reasses Denmark's relation to Fatah.

PMW report on PA Antisemitism in 2015

PMW prepared a special report about Palestinian Antisemitism in 2015 which was released by PMW director Itamar Marcus at a conference in European Parliament on Jan. 13, 2016. The report documents that the Palestinian Authority continued to emit overtly Antisemitic messages throughout 2015.

PA education: A recipe for hate and terror

The report was prepared for the 7th World Congress of Education International (EI), which met in Ottawa, July 21-28, 2015. PMW was invited by the Association of Secondary School Teachers in Israel, after the association was notified that the congress was planning to vote on several anti-Israel resolutions that included calls for boycott of Israel and support for BDS.

PA sports: Prohibiting peace and glorifying terror

In 2015, the PA submitted a request to FIFA to suspend Israel. This PMW report shows the irony of the PA request, since the PA uses sports to further entrench the conflict with Israel and to send the message that murdering Israeli civilians is honorable and heroic.

Is the PA lying to Western donors?

This PMW report presents significant documentation that challenges the PA claim that the PA is no ‎longer paying salaries to convicted terrorists. Despite PA assurances to Western dononrs, PMW findings show that the PA Ministry of Finance continues to ‎determine the conditions for funding prisoners, and according to official PA media reports and ‎official statements, it is the PA and not the PLO that has continued to pay the salaries directly to ‎terrorist prisoners.

PA's payments to terrorists facilitated by UK

The PA paid more than $100 million in 2013 to terrorist prisoners and released prisoners These payments to terrorists are paid directly and indirectly by the UK, the US, the EU, and individual EU donor countries.

US funding of PA's general budget supports PA incitement to hatred

The material in this PMW Special Report is a small representative example of the Palestinian Authority’s systematic: (1) incitement to hatred; (2) denial of Israel’s right to exist; (3) and, glorification of violence and terror. The PA is in ongoing violation of its three fundamental obligations to the US and the Quartet.

Terror glorification report for Canadian MPs

This special report prepared for Canadian Parliament documents that in addition to promoting terror by paying salaries to terrorists, the Palestinian Authority promotes terror by glorifying terrorists. Hundreds of terrorists have been honored by the PA, many of them murderers serving numerous life sentences for killing many civilians.

Compilation of PMW reports on PA salaries to terrorist prisoners

Compilation of four PMW reports documenting the PA's payment of salaries to Palestinian terrorists in Israeli prisons: 1. "PA to pay salaries to all terrorists in Israeli prisons" (May 20, 2011) 2. "PA glorification of terrorists and payment of salaries to terrorists and British funding" (Sept. 13, 2011) 3. "Special report to members of British Parliament" (Oct. 30, 2012) 4. "Is the PA lying to European governments in order to receive European funding?" (Feb. 14, 2013)

PMW report to Dutch Foreign Affairs Committee on PA glorification of terrorists

This report documents that the PA has continued to glorify terror, despite Dutch motion 1039 passed in March 2011 that calls to end Dutch funding to the PA if “no measures are being taken to act against the glorification and whitewashing of terrorism.” The 40 page report brings clear and unequivocal evidence of the official PA policy of glorifying terrorists as heroes and role models. The PA Minister of Prisoners' Affairs regularly visits the homes of terrorist murderers and honors them, five different weekly PA TV shows glorify terrorists in Israeli prison, and music videos honoring terrorist murderers are regularly broadcast on PA TV. All this and much more terror glorification is funded by the PA's general budget, which is supported by the Netherlands.

PMW report to Dutch Foreign Affairs Committee on PA use of budget

This report documents the hatred and violence that is promoted by the PA through structures also funded by the general budget. It includes official PA TV children's programs that call Israel "Satan" and describe Christians and Jews as "inferior and despised" and preaches Islamic supremacy over Christians and Jews. It includes the PA Grand Mufti's statement on PA TV that the destiny of Muslims is to kill Jews. It includes many examples of glorification of terrorist murderers by official PA TV and the PA Minister of Prisoners' Affairs.

PMW report to Dutch Foreign Affairs Committee on PA salaries to terrorists

This report is about PA payment of salaries to terrorists in Israeli prisons. This report was prepared earlier this year for British Parliament, but the information about the salaries going to terrorists is important and relevant for all countries that fund the PA. The report was first presented at a lecture to 30 members of British Parliament in October.

PMW report for British Parliament: UK and international responsibility for continued PA hate promotion

The documentation in this report is a small representative example of the Palestinian Authority’s ongoing program of hate and terror promotion. The PA has not fulfilled its fundamental obligations to be accepted as a participant in a peace process, because of its continuous: (1) denial of Israel’s right to exist; (2) incitement to hatred; (3) glorification of violence and terror. The members of the international community, including those countries funding the PA, have not fulfilled their fundamental obligation as overseers of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process, and therefore share in the responsibility for these ongoing Palestinian violations. The PA’s activities, statements, and cultural expression that indoctrinate hatred and violence, which are documented in this report are all funded through the PA's general budget, which is funded by the UK, US, EU, and other Western countries.

PA payment of salaries to terrorists with British funding, second report presented to UK parliament

UK Minister of State for International Development Alan Duncan wrote a letter to MP Robert Halfon in which he rejected PMW's earlier findings that exposed the Palestinian Authority's payment of salaries to terrorists with UK money, claiming that the PA only pays "social assistance programmes to provide welfare payments" to families of prisoners. In response, Palestinian Media Watch prepared and presented in UK parliament a second report that reiterates and verifies our original findings, and rejects Duncan's categorization of the PA payments as "social assistance."

PA payment of salaries to terrorists with Dutch funding

This report was presented on September 15, 2011 to Dutch parliament. The report documents that the PA pays salaries to imprisoned terrorists from the general PA budget, which is funded by the Dutch government. In addition, the report showed that the PA actively honors terrorists who are serving life sentences for murder.

PA payment of salaries to terrorists with British funding

This report was presented on September 13, 2011 to British parliament. This report was presented on July 26, 2011 to members of US Congress. The report documents that the PA pays salaries to imprisoned terrorists from the general PA budget, which is funded by the US. In addition, the report showed that the PA actively honors terrorists who are serving life sentences for murder.

PMW report: PA to pay salaries to all terrorists in Israeli prison

A law published in the official Palestinian Authority Registry in April 2011 grants all Palestinians and Israeli Arabs imprisoned in Israel for terror crimes a monthly salary from the PA. Following the signing of this new law, the PA is now paying a salary to these prisoners. According to the definition in the PA law, Palestinian car thieves in Israeli prisons will not receive a salary, but Hamas and Fatah terrorist murderers will.

PMW Report: "Zionist gangs stole Palestine"

This report examines how the establishment of the State of Israel is depicted in the Palestinian Authority's educational system and official media, both of which operate under the supervision of PA President Mahmoud Abbas. The report documents how the establishment of Israel and its continued existence are demonized by spokesmen and representatives of the PA in the official controlled media. The aim of the report is to document the PA positions expressed in internal Palestinian discourse in Arabic that are not expressed to the outside world. The report focuses on statements by senior PA officials, columnists in the official PA press, and program hosts and reporters on PA TV, from 2010-2011.

Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood Ideology: PMW translation of "Jihad Is the Way"

Palestinian Media Watch has translated the book "Jihad is the way" by Mustafa Mashhur, who was the official leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt 1996-2002. The book is the fifth volume of his full work called "The Laws of Da'wa" (Islamic missionary activity). In his book, "Jihad is the way," Mashhur explains the fundamental concepts of the Muslim Brotherhood ideology. Mashhur's teachings encompass subjects such as the Muslim Brotherhood's goal of establishing an Islamic state, world domination under Islam, the public and personal religious duty of military Jihad, and the warning not to rush to Jihad until it is prepared and timed for maximum benefit.

PMW Incitement Watch: The PA during the proximity talks, May - June 2010

This report is part of a PMW series monitoring Palestinian incitement during the proximity talks, which began in May 2010. These monthly reports were distributed in the European Union Parliament, and presented in the U.S. Congress and to the Prime Minister's Office in Israel. Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas declared that the PA would fulfill its commitments in the proximity talks, with special focus on their stopping incitement. However, PMW's analysis of Palestinian media has documented that every condition, principle and expectation set by the US and the Quartet for accepting the Palestinian Authority as a partner in the peace process continues to be violated by the Palestinian Authority in the first months of talks.

From terrorists to role models: The PA's institutionalization of incitement

This report was presented by PMW director Itamar Marcus to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 3, 2010 and to members of US Congress in Washington D.C. on May 6, 2010. In this report, Palestinian Media Watch documents the Palestinian Authority policy of glorifying terrorists through naming schools, streets, sporting events, summer camps, and ceremonies after terrorists. PMW chose 100 examples of places and events named after 46 different terrorists in order to show the scope of the phenomenon. This ongoing PA policy to glorify terror plays a significant role in defining the Palestinian world, and undermines the chances the peace.

Hamas's goals: Subjugation and Genocide

This PMW report was prepared for Italian MPs when PMW was invited to lecture to Italian MPs in Rome in 2009. Also available on the website in Italian.

More than a year after the Annapolis conference, the Palestinian Authority continues to mislead donor countries. In English, it talks peace, but in Arabic, it: Denies Israel's existence; Incites hatred; Promotes terror and glorifies terrorists.

Denmark and the Palestinian Authority after Annapolis

More than a year after the Annapolis conference, the Palestinian Authority continues to mislead donor countries. In English, it talks peace, but in Arabic, it: Denies Israel's existence; Incites hatred; Promotes terror and glorifies terrorists.

Genocide - Durban 2

This PMW report was distributed to the media, world leaders, and NGOs at the Durban 2 Conference on Racism in Geneva in April 2009. The report documented that genocide promotion has become a common component of the Palestinian world, and that genocide promotion in the Palestinian areas is often said to be Allah's will, making genocide a religious imperative.

Canada and the Palestinian Authority after Annapolis

PMW presented this report on Palestinian Authority violations of the Annapolis conference (Nov. 2007) was presented in the Canadian Parliament in March 2009. More than a year after the Annapolis conference, the Palestinian Authority continues to mislead donor countries. In English, it talks peace, but in Arabic, it: Denies Israel's existence; Incites hatred; Promotes terror and glorifies terrorists.

PA Libels and Lies Part 3: 2006-2008

In 2006 Israel finally brought the six year Palestinian Terror War to an end. Although unable to continue the active path of terror, the Palestinian Authority has continued to promote hatred through many avenues, including the escalated promotion of lies and libels.

Norway and the Palestinian Authority after Annapolis

Norway's Foreign Minister misled by the Palestinian Authority: FM Jonas Gahr Støre gives erroneous testimony in response to parliamentary question. Nearly a year after the Annapolis conference (Nov. 2007), the PA continues to deceive: Talking peace in English, while in Arabic denying Israel's existence, promoting hatred and terror, and broadcasting songs about Israel's destruction.

PA Libels and Lies Part 2: 2000-2006

After starting the Palestinian Terror War in October 2000, the Palestinian Authority intensified the use of libels and lies about Israel in order to fuel hatred and foster broad Palestinian support for terror and murder of Israelis. The following is a small representative collection from among thousands of libels that fueled the 6 year Palestinian Terror War, from 2000-2006.

PA Libels and Lies Part 1: 1997-2000

The Palestinian Authority libel campaign during the years 1997-2000 was instrumental in creating the atmosphere of hatred that led to the 5-year Terror War. By depicting Israelis as threatening, murdering Israelis would later be seen as legitimate self-defense.

Strengthening America's Enemies

This report reveals that the Palestinian Authority-Fatah government of Mahmoud Abbas is allied with many states who see themselves as enemies of the US and whom the US sees as threatening US security and world peace. Significantly, the affinity that is felt for such geographically distant non-Muslim countries, such as North Korea, Cuba, and Chavez’s Venezuela is precisely because these states publicly challenge and express loathing for the US. The PA admires such organizations as Hezbullah. PA- Fatah heroes are master terrorists such as Imad Mughniyeh, killer of 241 American soldiers in Lebanon, and the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001 are celebrated almost every annual anniversary with a political cartoon in the official PA daily.

Hillary Clinton's full statement introducing PMW's report on Palestinian schoolbooks

Hillary Clinton's full statement introducing PMW's report on Palestinian schoolbook, and Itamar Marcus's excerpts from the report, presented in a press conference releasing the PMW report in the US Senate building in February 2007.

New 12th Grade Palestinian schoolbooks present a world without Israel

"The Ribat for Allah is one of the actions related to Jihad for Allah, it means: Being found in areas where there is a struggle between Muslims and their enemies... the endurance of Palestine's people on their land… is one of the greatest of the Ribat and they are worthy of a great reward from Allah." [Islamic Education, grade 12, pp. 86-87]

Kill A Jew, Go To Heaven

The Palestinian Authority teaches an ideology of virulent hatred of Jews and Israel that mandates the killing of Jews solely because they are Jews. The murder of Jews is presented not only as beneficial to Muslims and Arabs, but as necessary for all humankind.

Four Loopholes in US anti-terror law

This PMW report exposed loopholes in American law that enabled US funding to support terror and American activities. The PMW report recommended 6 changes in US law, 5 of which were voted on and passed the House of Representatives a mere three weeks after their publication.

Encouraging Women Terrorists

Since the first suicide bombing by a woman in 2002, there is an active movement directed by the Palestinian Authority (PA), to advance the ethos of the Palestinian Woman Fighter. This includes the glorification of woman terrorists and suicide bombers as symbols to be admired and imitated. The PA is transmitting very clear messages to its female population, that they should see themselves as full and active partners alongside Palestinian men in their terror attacks against Israelis.

PMW report: Unprecedented levels of violence and hate on PA TV

"Palestinian Authority [PA] television broadcasting of violence and hate has reached unprecedented levels this summer and has created an atmosphere of the eve of outbreak of war. Palestinian television is currently broadcasting a systematic campaign that negates the peace process and reconciliation. Included are abundant violence clips, the depiction of Israeli soldiers as rapists and murderers, call for eternal war against the Jews, military marches, libelous accusations, denial of Israel’s right to exist, and education of Palestinian children to see all of Israel as stolen 'Palestine.'"

Comparing the PA Opinions and School Textbooks with the Hamas Charter

In Israel it is accepted to differentiate between the Palestinian Authority (PA), on the one hand, that supports peace, and between Hamas, on the other hand, as one who opposes peace. However, within Palestinian society, in the education of their children and in the media, a unified ideology on the most substantive issues as pertains to Israel is often presented, including, the denial of Israel's right to exist and defining Israel as the "conqueror of all of Palestine." The religious obligation to destroy Israel, which supposedly is a tenet identified only with Hamas, constitutes the sole attitude toward Israel that appears in textbooks published by the PA Ministry of Education, and is a recurrent theme in the media, often with the same formulations as in the Hamas Charter.
