Note: This comic was published during the Hamas takeover of Gaza in 2007. In June 2007, Hamas defeated Fatah in a civil war in Gaza. Since then, Hamas has ruled in Gaza, while Fatah continues to rule in the West Bank. The mutual hatred is very deep, and this animosity has become the dominant issue in Palestinian society.
