PA depicts a world without Israel
The Palestinian Authority makes no attempt to educate its people towards peace and coexistence with Israel. On the contrary, from every possible platform it repeatedly rejects Israel's right to exist, presents the conflict as a religious battle for Islam, depicts the establishment of Israel as an act of imperialism, and perpetuates a picture of the Middle East, both verbally and visually, in which Israel does not exist at all. Israel's destruction is said to be both inevitable and a Palestinian obligation.

The following description of Israel's founding in a Palestinian schoolbook represents the dominant dogma about Israel:

"Palestine’s war ended with a catastrophe that is unprecedented in history, when the Zionist gangs stole Palestine … and established the so-called State of Israel."
[Arabic Language, Analysis, Literature and Criticism, grade 12, p. 104]
This official PA map of "Palestine” was broadcast on PA TV in September 2011. The map includes both the PA areas and all of Israel (excluding the Golan Heights) wrapped in the Palestinian flag - a symbol of Palestinian sovereignty over the whole area - and has a key through it, symbolizing ownership. Similar maps presenting all of Israel as "Palestine" appear in Palestinian schoolbooks and are shown regularly on PA TV.
Future: A world without Israel
The PA promises its people that in the future, the State of Israel will be completely erased and replaced by a State of Palestine. A Fatah member of Palestinian parliament, Najat Abu Bakr, told PA TV that the PA supports and adopts the “stages plan.” To the world, the PA claims that the Palestinians seek the West Bank and Gaza Strip, when in fact the goal is all of Israel: “It doesn’t mean that we don’t want the 1948 borders, but in our current political program we say we want a state on the 1967 borders.” [PA TV (Fatah), Aug. 25, 2008]

Fatah Central Committee member Abbas Zaki reiterated this position on Al-Jazeera TV:
“It is impossible to realize the inspiring idea or the great goal in one stroke… Israel will come to an end… If I say that I want to remove it from existence, this will be great, great, [but] it is hard. This is not a [stated] policy. You can't say it to the world. You can say it to yourself.” [Al-Jazeera TV, Sept. 23, 2011]

The following words from a song on official PA TV, which started to appear in 2012, expresses longing for the day that Jaffa, Acre, Haifa and the Galilee, all in Israel, will be part of “my country” (“Palestine”) where all cities would be accessible "with no borders":
"I wish I could enter my country with no borders...
I will go about in Bethlehem and in Al-Aqsa [Mosque], which is held captive...
I do not forget Jenin or Nablus, and the Galilee
I do not forget you, Jaffa…
To Jerusalem, to Ramle, to Acre, to Haifa, oh Lord...
I wish I could enter my country with no borders." [PA TV (Fatah), Feb. 9, 2012]

The PA’s using culture to long for the destruction of Israel is not new. Many examples can be seen in this section below, including a music video, which aired on official PA TV from 2007 – 2009 and promises the liberation of “Palestine,” listing numerous Israeli cities as “Palestine”:
"We will liberate the Land of the religions … Palestine is Arab in history and identity… From Jerusalem and Acre, from Haifa and Jericho and Gaza and Ramallah, from Bethlehem and Jaffa, Be'er Sheba and Ramle, and from Nablus to the Galilee, from Tiberias to Hebron.”
Finally, the newest PA schoolbooks teach that "Palestine will be liberated by its men, its women, its young ones and its elderly." [Arabic Language and the Science of Language, grade 12, p. 44]
Hamas: "We will build an Islamic state in Palestine, all of Palestine" (i.e., Israel)
Source: Al-Ayyam, Oct. 1, 2014
Headline: "Al-Zahar: The Hamas movement will build an Islamic state in all of Palestine"
"Hamas Political Bureau member Mahmoud Al-Zahar emphasized that Hamas would 'build an Islamic State in all of Palestine.' During a ceremony for the relatives of policemen killed by the Israeli army in Gaza, Al-Zahar said: '[Some] have said Hamas wants to create an Islamic emirate in Gaza. We won't do that, but we will build an Islamic state in Palestine, all of Palestine.' Al-Zahar said that if his movement were to 'transfer what it has or just a small part of it to the West Bank, we would be able to settle the battle of the final promise (an allusion to Sura 17:7 of the Quran, see note below) with a speed that no one can imagine.'
He continued by saying: 'We know exactly how to liberate the land of Palestine, and we know how to hit every inch of Palestine with our hands, brains, and money.' Al-Zahar promised 'to protect the resistance project, including all its military, police, security and civilian wings.'
On the [issue of the] PA and the transfer of control of the Gaza Strip to the unity government, he said: 'They relinquished these positions, but we look out for our citizens and our homeland. In no way whatsoever will we allow anyone to harm the resistance project or the dignity of any citizen.'"

Note: His expression "the final promise" is taken from Sura 17:7 of the Quran: "Then when the final promise came, [We sent your enemies]... to enter the temple in Jerusalem, as they entered it the first time, and to destroy what they had taken over with [total] destruction.'" (trans. Sahih International) By alluding to this passage in the context of Israel, Hamas is promising a future war of destruction against Israel.

Abbas' advisor: Fatah and Hamas agree about "liberating Palestine" (i.e., all of Israel)
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Sept. 26, 2014

Abbas' advisor on Religious and Islamic Affairs and the PA's Supreme Shari'ah Judge, Mahmoud Al-Habbash:
"The Palestinian national reconciliation [between Fatah and Hamas] - how long will arguments and struggles over matters concerning the interests of the Palestinian people, and especially the Gaza Strip, continue?... What are we [Fatah and Hamas] divided about? Do we disagree about Jerusalem, for example? [Do we] disagree about liberating Palestine from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea? Disagree about what? What do they disagree about? About a minister responsible for a certain area, about a clerk who needs a job? Issues like these, my brothers, the things, for Allah's sake, all these small [issues] are meaningless compared to the interests of the public."

PA TV host compliments girl on pendant of map erasing Israel: "All of occupied ‎Palestine... will ‎return to us one day‎"
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Sept. 5, 2014

Official PA TV children’s program The ‎Best Home:
Girl on show, reciting poem, wearing pendant in shape of "Palestine" that includes all of Israel: "...You stand idly by. Where are you, Arabs?"
PA TV host Walaa Battut: "Sweetie, bravo, bravo, bravo! What caught my attention is the pendant you’re wearing, which is of course the map of Palestine. The thing that angers the occupation (i.e., Israel) the most is our belief that all of occupied Palestine is ours and will return to us one day. The right of return – the fact that we continue to think about it and don’t forget that we have a land that was stolen from us and will return to us one day – that angers the occupation. Let’s anger them in every way."

Israel is a “cancerous entity which can only be cured by leaving our land” – PA daily op-ed
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Aug. 8, 2014
Op-ed by Fathi Al-Bis, regular columnist for the official PA daily:
“In his response to the barbaric Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people, particularly in the Gaza Strip, the President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega, said: ‘It seems the devil has possessed [Israeli Prime Minister] Netanyahu.’ We in this region, for our part, say that Netanyahu and his associates truly are devils, unparalleled in perpetrating evil acts. Their evil souls constantly tempt them to murder more and more, and nothing else, under the illusion that murder is what will protect and save them from the existential fear concerning the fate of their cancerous entity, which can only be cured by [its] leaving our land.”

Note: This article was published during the 2014 Gaza war as Hamas was firing thousands of rockets at Israel and as Israel was responding with Operation Protective Edge, which aimed at destroying Hamas' terror infrastructure and ability to launch rockets at Israel.

Fatah leader calls to destroy Israel "from the river to the sea!"
Source: Facebook page of Tawfiq Tirawi, member of Fatah Central Committee, Aug. 5, 2014
"O our free people of resolve and sacrifice in Gaza, you are more honored than us all... We remain committed to the promise: freedom, independence, and driving out the occupier from the entire pure land, from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea.
Long live free Gaza!
Your brother, Tawfiq Tirawi."

Abbas' son: In future "we might only agree to one state, and we will insist that it be Palestine"
Source: PA TV's official Facebook page, July 27, 2014

PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' son, Yasser:
"One final message to [Israeli Prime Minister] Netanyahu: I've heard that Netanyahu intends to continue negotiations with us [forever]. [Speaking to his son:] Nader, come here, sweetie. He [Netanyahu] intends to continue negotiating with us until 2020 or 2030. He wants to wait until no one remains from the first generation of the Nakba (i.e., ‘the catastrophe,’ Palestinian term for the establishment of Israel) so that we'll forget the cause of the refugees. So we'll forget the cause of the refugees. My answer to him is one word. Nader, sweetie, where are we from?"
Abbas’ grandson, Nader: "From Safed, Palestine."
Abbas' son?:? "Where from?"
Abbas’ grandson: "Safed, Palestine."
Abbas' son?:? "Where will we return to?"
Abbas’ grandson: "To Safed, Palestine."
Abbas' son?:? "Thank you. This is the third generation since the Nakba. This is the third generation since the Nakba. Netanyahu should know that he can negotiate with us until 2020, 2030, or 2050. Time is on our side, and [our] right won't be lost if someone claims it. The first generation exists. He waits until it's gone, but we still exist, and the third generation is behind us. And tomorrow, I don’t think he’ll find anyone to negotiate about two states... Our elders talk today about two states, but tomorrow we might only agree to one state, and we will insist that it be Palestine."

Children on PA TV: All of Israel will be replaced by "Palestine"
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, May 16, 2014
Three episodes of PA TV children’s program teach children that all of Israel will be replaced by “Palestine”:
Sabrin, girl singer: We are going [abroad] to send a message to everyone, that there are Palestinian children, that we are still alive. Some people abroad think, "No, they're dead. There's only Israel, there's no such thing as Palestine." No, we say that Palestine exists, and Palestine will return to us, and there is no such thing as Israel.
PA TV host: Bravo!
Sabrin: There is something called the occupied lands.
Host: Bravo, bravo bravo!

PA TV host: Alma has brought drawings with her, a map of Palestine – can you see the map of Palestine? All of it will return to us, Allah willing. All of this map will return to us. The key (symbol of Palestinian ownership of all of the land Israel). It's upside down. All of this map, friends, will return to us. Right, Alma?
Alma: Right.
Host: All of it is ours, right?
Alma: Yes.
Host: Even if they took it from us, we will take it back one day, right?
Alma: Right.

Israel is a snake; Fatah and Hamas cut off its head
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 8, 2014
A cartoon in the official PA daily presents the reconciliation and unity between Fatah and Hamas as a means to destroy Israelis/Jews.
Israel is depicted as the head of a snake or worm, wearing a Jewish skull cap with a Star of David on it. The head may be intended to be a caricature of Israel's Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman. Palestinian reconciliation is presented as an axe. Its blade is a hand with two fingers forming the sign of victory. The victory sign functions as a pair of scissors, cutting off the head of the snake - Israel. The text on the axe says: "Reconciliation."

Fatah official calls for one-state solution: Replace Israel with a Muslim state
Source: Facebook page of Tawfiq Tirawi, member of Fatah Central Committee, May 6, 2014
The independent Palestinian radio Ajyal interviewed Fatah Central Committee member Tawfiq Tirawi:
Fatah Central Committee member Tawfiq Tirawi: “In my opinion, the two-state solution has come to an end – and the one who ended it is Israel. Since the Algiers Convention [of 1988] (at which the Palestinian National Council, the legislative body of the PLO, declared the establishment of a Palestinian State), when they agreed on the 10 Points (i.e., the Ten Point Program of 1974, which called for the rejection of the existence of the State of Israel and the establishment of a Palestinian state on the entire territory of Mandatory Palestine) and on [UN Resolution] 242 (which established provisions and principles towards a solution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict), the Palestinians have gone far towards the two-state solution, and the resolutions of the UN and the international institutions, etc. Nonetheless, we must reexamine this entire issue, and propose – as in the past – the one-state [solution]. I am in favor of one democratic state, which Fatah proposed in 1968. I am for it. Let’s all sit down together in Palestine, and shape the state as it was shaped in Lebanon – a Maronite president, a Sunni prime minister, etc. Let’s find this solution.”

and already it is melting and has no hope.
The vile Jews who were here before,
someone tell me what is left of them.
Two groups: The first will be returned to its country of origin if it so chooses,
while the fool who insists [on remaining] -
his fate is sealed - [he'll end up] under the ground.
The name of the Holy City will be restored,
my capital [is named] Beit Al-Maqdis - not Jerusalem.

Hamas official: Through Shahada (Martyrdom) we will achieve "Palestine, from its [Jordan] River to its [Mediterranean] Sea"
Source: Al-Aqsa TV (Hamas), Apr. 30, 2014
Al-Aqsa TV (Hamas) broadcast a speech by Hamas leader and Palestinian Parliament member Sheikh Hassan Yousef
Hamas leader and Palestinian Parliament member Sheikh Hassan Yousef: “Yes, we say: The path of Martyrdom (Shahada) and the enterprise of Martyrdom-seeking (Istish'had) are
the shortest way to [achieving] rights, and to achieving victory over the occupier. Taking [our] rights is the shortest path to Jerusalem and to all Palestine, from its [Jordan] River to its [Mediterranean] Sea. Yes, this path is the shortest path to defeating the settlement enterprise and the Judaization of Jerusalem and the holy sites. We say to the occupation: the blood of these two Martyrs (Shahids) [Imad and Adel Awadallah] and the two other Martyrs [Izz Al-Din Al-Masri and Tawfiq Mahamid] – all of you know the hero Izz Al-Din Al-Masri (i.e., suicide terrorist who killed 15 in Sbarro pizza shop) [cheers from the audience]… and the Martyr Mahamid, and those who preceded them and those Martyrs who will come after them – we will not forget them, and their blood will remain a debt for us [to pay], for the Hamas youth and the youths of all the Palestinian forces.” …

Saladin (Muslim conqueror of Jerusalem), calls to me from the depths of my heart
All my Arabness calls me to vengeance and liberation...
Thousands of prisoners and thousands who are jailed
call to this great nation and call to millions
They say: To Jerusalem, the [first] direction of prayer [in Islam]
To war that will smash the oppression and destroy the Zionist's soul
and raise the Palestinian banner in the world's sky
And strengthen my word that goes on: Palestinian, Palestinian, Palestinian."

PA official: Compromise on 1967 borders will only be temporary, ultimate goal is Palestine "from the river to the sea"
Source: Official PA TV Live, Apr. 16, 2014
Official PA TV Live broadcast an event ‎honoring the prisoners released in the ‎third phase of prisoner releases.‎
Palestinian PA Parliament (Legislative ‎Council) member and PFLP ‎representative Khalida ‎Jarrar:
“First ‎of all, in principle, we must not give up ‎any option for freeing the prisoners. I’m ‎not saying who will do this or how they ‎will do so. [We] must not give up any ‎option. That includes the option of the ‎struggle and the revolutionary option. ‎I’m not saying we are calling on people ‎to start a revolution – that’s not the ‎point – but we must not give up this ‎option, and this means we must cease ‎security coordination [with Israel]. ‎
There is a minimum and a maximum. ‎The maximum, or the truth, is that ‎Palestine belongs to the Palestinians, ‎from the [Jordan] River to the ‎‎[Mediterranean] Sea (i.e., replacing all of Israel). We must not cede ‎this narrative. From the River to the ‎Sea, Palestine for the Palestinians. ‎Now they’re talking about a political ‎compromise, about a country within the ‎‎1967 borders, that’s called a political ‎compromise, and it hasn’t materialized, ‎‎[but] will only materialize [in the ‎future]‎, because, to this day, we ‎haven’t accepted the 1967 borders ‎either – but even a compromise on the ‎‎1967 borders must not lead us to ‎renounce that Palestine from the River ‎to the Sea belongs to the Palestinians; ‎and the heart of the matter is the right ‎of return, our cause is the right of ‎return.”‎

Fatah official: Palestinian state will have Jerusalem as its capital, will include Rosh HaNikra
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 15, 2014
“Fatah Central Committee member Tawfiq Tirawi emphasized that there will be no peace unless all the Palestinian prisoners are released from the occupation prisons. He added: ‘We will not forsake a single foot of the land of Palestine – all of Palestine – and no one has the right to prevent any Palestinian from returning to the village from which he was expelled amidst the disasters of death and murder. We will establish our Palestinian state whose capital is Jerusalem, on our historic land, from Rafah to Rosh HaNikra.’”
Note: Rosh HaNikra is located in northern Israel and is within the 1967 borders.

PA minister: "The world must act to make this occupation vanish"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 8, 2014
"Karake expressed his opposition to all the Zionist attempts to pressure the PA and place it under financial siege for caring for the prisoners and their families. He said: ‘The prisoners are prisoners of freedom and warrior prisoners, as established by the four Geneva Conventions, which we submitted requests to join. The prisoners are victims of the occupation and the world must act to make this occupation vanish.'”

PA daily: Israel is an "apartheid state" and "breeding ground for... corruption and mafia" because its leaders know Zionism is "based on lies" and "lack of belief... in the continued existence of their state"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Apr. 3, 2014
Op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for Al-Hayat Al-Jadida
“[Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud] Olmert’s conviction on [charges of] corruption is a crushing blow to his political history, and can be considered the defining moment in the closing chapter of his political time... which will make it difficult for him to return to politics – though anything is possible and permissible in the apartheid state, given its settler character.
The State of Israel, according to the testimony of Judge Rosen (the judge in the Olmert case) and others, is a breeding ground for all forms and manifestations of corruption and mafia, and the political and military classes may well be playing a central role in furthering these manifestations, which threaten the unity of Israeli society. This phenomenon has both subjective and objective causes [including]: 1. The lack of belief among these leaders in the continued existence of their state, given their understanding that it is an unnatural state and that the dangers surrounding it render the chances of its continued [existence] elusive. 2. The ideological, political, moral and ethical foundations of the Israeli elites are weak; they understand that the Israeli Zionist narrative is based on lies and falsifications of truth, history and reality. 3. The nature of [Israel’s] relationship with the capitalist West – especially the United States, which lavishes on Israel the highest financial and economic aid, and sets the mood and creates a fertile environment for acts of theft and robbery among the ranks of Israeli leaders. 4. The nature of the relationship between the heads of global financial capital and the Zionist movement, in which the Jewish Zionist families play a pivotal role in reinforcing corruption and bribery, [can be seen] in the same context.”

PA TV host agrees with Hamas: "The minimum… is the 1967 borders;" "[Who knows] what the intentions are after that?"
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Apr. 3, 2014
Official PA TV Program Speak Plainly hosted Hamas Member Ismail Radwan and Fatah Member Abdallah Abdallah. On the phone was former Israeli-Arab MP Taleb Al-Sana.
PA TV Host Maher Shalabi: “The minimum, according to Hamas – as brother Khaled Mashaal, head of the Hamas Political Bureau has said, [and as] Ismail Haniyeh, Prime Minister of the deposed Hamas government in Gaza, has demonstrated several times – is the 1967 borders, and he has emphasized this, as you have said. [Who knows] what the intentions are after that. Brother, you include Haifa and Jaffa [in the discussion] – and I, Maher Shalabi, sitting here, am I supposed to tell you I don’t want them?! Brother, we will take them. But, Doctor, there is a logic that says: the strong perform disgraceful acts, and those who are unable [to overcome their enemies] must bide their time and they will dwell on this land; so let’s talk according to reason and the chief interests of the land. The minimum, for now, which all [our] people’s factions have agreed on, is peaceful popular struggle, at this stage – and perhaps two years from now, we’ll say, ‘no, we want to wreak havoc in the land.’”

Fatah official: "Two-state solution does not exist... Return to the option of one Palestine from the river to the sea"
Source: Al-Manar TV (Hezbollah), Apr. 2, 2014

However, when the West Bank and Gaza Strip came under Israeli administration following the Six Day War in 1967, the PLO rewrote its Charter in 1968, now seeking sovereignty over the West Bank and the Gaza Strip as well, lands formerly under Jordanian and Egyptian rule.

Fatah official: We will "expel these invaders from every inch of our Palestinian land"
Source: Official Palestinian Authority TV, Mar. 30, 2014
Abbas' advisor on NGOs Sultan Abu Al-Einein: "This [commemoration of Land Day] reminds us of March, in which the Palestinian woman excelled in the art of warfare beside the Palestinian man. We also recall Martyr Dalal Mughrabi -- I salute her soul and the souls of all the Martyrs -- [Dalal] who established her Palestinian Republic in her own special way between Jaffa and Tel Aviv... Land Day is not [just] a regular, passing day in the life of our Palestinian nation, but it confirms and reminds those whose memory has betrayed them... that on this land and for this land it is worth giving our blood in order to expel these invaders from every inch of our Palestinian land."
