Jewish history in Land of Israel erased
Op-ed in official PA daily denies Israel’s legitimacy: "All of Israel, from beginning to end, is a settlement," denies Jewish history as "myths"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 9, 2017
Excerpt of an op-ed by Yahya Rabah, regular columnist for the official PA daily

"All of Israel, from its beginning to its end, is a settlement, a land [they] hold by force without any legitimacy. Whether by dividing the land of a sick man (Ottoman Turkey) [parentheses in source] in the days of [the] Sykes-Picot [Agreement], the wall and tower and laundry line phenomenon as a declaration of the establishment of a settlement, or using all the force of the British Mandate in order to obtain this land under the umbrella of the first sin – the ominous Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration), whose 100th anniversary will take place [soon]... Even when the world conspired to turn the folklore myths into Jewish history and issued [UN] Partition Resolution 181, the Zionist movement refused to be satisfied with the international decision and insisted on the logic of settlement, which is theft of our Palestinian land by force, the force of scheming, the force of deceit in many forms, and the force of the weapon, iron, fire, and abominable massacres..."

Abbas: “Balfour Declaration is the reason for our tragedy,” demands Britain apologize
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Feb. 8, 2017
Excerpt of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas' statements at the press conference with French President Francois Hollande on Feb. 7, 2017 in Paris

...I have discussed with His Honor [French] President [Francois] Hollande the inherent dangers in the possibility of the embassy of any state being transferred to Jerusalem, as this is a violation of international law. At this opportunity, we emphasize that we view East Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Palestine. We want it to be open to the faithful of all of the monotheistic religions – Judaism, Christianity, and Islam…
Yesterday the government of Britain announced that it is inviting Israeli Prime Minister [Benjamin Netanyahu] to participate in the celebrations of the 100th [anniversary] of the issuing of the Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration) in 1917. The Balfour Promise is the reason for our tragedy, and this is a matter which surprises [us] and to which we object. We demand that the government of Britain apologize to the Palestinian people for the destruction and expulsion that it caused our people. We also demand that it recognize the State of Palestine, in accordance with the recommendation of the British House of Commons from 2014…
I told His Honor President [Hollande] that we stand by France and support the French and international efforts to fight terror and violence, which we condemn – whatever their form and source. This is because terror has no religion, and contradicts all religious, spiritual, and human values."

PA daily op-ed: "There is and never has been any sort of Temple... in Palestine... [Israelis] have not found a single thing connected to Judaism in all of Palestine, and not just in Jerusalem"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Jan. 30, 2017
"[UN secretary-general] Antonio Guterres clearly and explicitly sinned against peace and the Palestinian-Israeli political agreement when he claimed yesterday [Jan. 29, 2017] in an interview with the Hebrew-language Voice of Israel [radio] that he 'believes in the connection between Jerusalem and the Jews.' In contradiction to the UNESCO resolutions, history, and facts, the secretary-general claimed that it is as clear as day - in his opinion which is far from the truth and the facts - that 'The Temple in Jerusalem that was destroyed by the Romans was a Jewish Temple'...
Mr. Antonio... [you should know that] Jerusalem and all of Palestine - from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea - are the land of the Palestinian people, and their history is its history... Jerusalem is Palestinian Arab. It belongs only to the followers of Islam and Christianity, and not Judaism, but this does not prevent followers of the Jewish religion from visiting it. What is called the 'Wailing' Wall is nothing but the Al-Buraq Wall (i.e., the Western Wall). There is and never has been any sort of Temple of Prophet Suleiman (i.e., King Solomon) in Palestine. The Israelis have been excavating for nearly 100 years throughout the length and breadth of the land since occupying it in its entirety in June 1967 (sic., 50 years), and they have not found a single thing connected to Judaism (sic., numerous Jewish artifacts have been unearthed -Ed.) in all of Palestine, and not just in Jerusalem..."

Official PA daily op-ed: Israelis will emigrate, seeing Israel's weakness in fighting wildfires and since the “Israeli Jew does not adhere to the land"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Nov. 27, 2016
Headline: “A tenuous scenario for fires”
Excerpt of an op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for the official PA daily
“The fires (i.e., a wave of suspected Palestinian arson attacks in November 2016) are not the result of an intentional act, but rather were caused as a result of the negligence of visitors to parks and forests. The winds, their velocity, and the low percentage of humidity were factors that helped in their expansion and increased the speed of their spread to adjacent areas.
However, this negligence has revealed the emptiness of the Israeli state and its civil defense forces, despite the previous warnings. Likewise exposed was the weakness of the home front , which apparently is unfit for this kind of simple coping with the flames, not to mention with a large number of rockets…
Some Israelis will turn to the option of reverse migration as a result of the sense of a lack of personal security – not only as a result of war operations (i.e., terror attacks), but also due to a lack of Israeli internal guarantees. This is particularly because the Israeli Jew does not adhere to the land, and is interested in [national] belonging only because of his personal interests.”

Lyrics: "Pack up your things, gather your children and escape on the first plane
Or your body parts will be gathered and you’ll be thrown into the fire of hell...
O Zionist, you won’t be able to sleep any more
My rocket longs for you, and it will land on you
From the tunnels underneath you, I’ll pull you by the legs...
Pack up your things and bye, leave, crazy [person]
You left your country and came to die in my land here...
O Zionist, when you walk, look left and right
Because I’m coming at you with a machine gun, axe, or with a knife...
Say farewell to your family before you get on a bus or a car...
Underneath there is a bomb and the Martyrdom seeker will blow himself up..."

Abbas’ advisor: Israel “lies and [makes] false claims… [and] has acted to mislead the world and forge history”

Headline: "Advisor Zumlut: We are continuing our legal battle against the occupation"
"Advisor to [PA] President [Mahmoud Abbas] for Strategic Affairs Husam Zumlut emphasized that the [PA] leadership is continuing its legal battle against the occupation and the Israeli extremism and settlement government in order to hold the world legally, ethically, and politically responsible for finding a fair solution to the Palestinian cause similarly to many of the international disputes…
He noted that the international and legal effort of the leadership has put us in to action and exposed the lies and false claims of the Israeli side, which has acted to mislead the world and forge history. Likewise, he noted that the latest UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) resolution regarding Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque shook the occupation state and exposed all the efforts of its false institutions…
He added that the leadership is serious about opening the topic of the Balfour Promise (i.e., Declaration), and about holding Britain legally, ethically, and politically responsible for what happened to the Palestinian people for an entire century, following the decision to give what was not in its ownership to one who had no right to it."

Fatah official: UNESCO resolution “showed that the Jews do not have a historical right to the land of Palestine,” Israel falsifies archaeological findings to prove there was an “alleged Temple”
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 28, 2016
Headline: “Shtayyeh: Our people will always repel attempts to harm the national legitimacy and underlying principles”
“Fatah Central Committee member Dr. Muhammad Shtayyeh… commented on the latest resolutions published by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), and clarified that it is important to build on them and to turn to the UN General Assembly with them so that it will adopt them.
He added: ‘We thank all of the states in UNESCO who supported us, and the leadership is determined to continue with activities of this type. We clarify that the importance of these resolutions is expressed in how they exposed the lies of Israel, and torpedoed the occupation authorities’ words regarding the Al-Buraq Wall (i.e., the Western Wall) and what they term “the historical right.”’
Shtayyeh continued: ‘The latest UNESCO resolutions have torpedoed the excuses for talk about their right to a “Jewish state,” and showed that the Jews do not have a historical right to the land of Palestine.’
He said: ‘Ever since the occupation in 1967, they are excavating day and night without finding anything regarding the alleged Temple (sic., numerous archaeological relics from the Temple have been found), which has caused them to place fake graves. Likewise, they brought ancient floor tiles in an attempt to claim that they were Jewish graves, but the falsehood of its (i.e., Israel’s) stories is well known.'”

Op-ed in PA daily: Israel is deluding “itself and the world that there is any connection between the Jews and Judaism and Palestine”

PA daily: Israel is "colonialist pawn and spearhead of the capitalist West," founded on "fabricated Zionist narrative"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 25, 2016
Headline: "Us, the UN, and its anniversary"
Excerpt from op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for the official PA daily
"Yesterday [Oct. 24, 2016] a ceremony was held in Ramallah for the 71st anniversary of the establishment of the UN…
As the organization (i.e., the UN) was starting out, the Nakba (i.e., “the catastrophe,” Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) of the Palestinian Arab people took place in May 1948. On Nov. 29, 1947, the organization adopted [UN] Resolution 181, regarding the division of historical Palestine – the land and homeland of the Palestinian Arab people – into two states (the Partition Plan, rejected by Arab leaders and governments –Ed.). One of them was named Israel, the colonialist pawn and spearhead of the capitalist West, [which the UN] allowed to exist, and gave it all that was needed in order to survive and live so as to serve its purposes, but [as opposed to this] it prevented the establishment of the Palestinian Arab people’s state, and through pretexts and ridiculous excuses did not allow the return of 800,000 Palestinian refugees, who were exiled by the Zionist gangs that occupied their land...
One of the main goals for the establishment of the organization was to guard 'human rights,' and they established this by publishing the 'Universal Declaration of Human Rights' in 1948. [However,] these are the same states that caused a new global tragedy that same year, by establishing the Israeli ethnic cleansing state…
They established on the land [of the Palestinians] a rogue outlaw state, the State of Israel, and brought to it all of the Jews of different nationalities, who accepted the false and fabricated Zionist narrative and aligned with it."

PA daily: Israel's "false narrative and claim that it has a history from 2,000 years ago in the Palestinian land... has been rejected by Israeli academics"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 22, 2016
Headline: "The failing Israeli war"
Excerpt of op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for the official PA daily
"The government of [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu continues its attack against the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) resolution from two weeks ago on Thursday, Oct. 13 [2016] - which rejected the connection between the Jews and Judaism and the Al-Aqsa Mosque [plaza] (i.e., Temple Mount) and the Al-Buraq Wall (i.e., Western Wall) - through its desperate efforts to impose its false narrative and its claim that it has a history from 2,000 years ago in the Palestinian land, which has been rejected by Israeli academics."

UNESCO passed a resolution in Paris on “Occupied Palestine” on Oct. 13, 2016, with 24 countries voting in favor, 6 against, and 24 abstentions.
In the resolution UNESCO refers to the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism, only as “ Al-Aqsa Mosque/Al-Haram Al-Sharif,” and presents it only as a “Muslim holy site.” The resolution condemns “escalating Israeli aggressions” and Israeli “violations” at the site, and calls on Israel “to respect the integrity, authenticity and cultural heritage of Al-Aq?a Mosque/Al-?aram Al-Sharif… as a Muslim holy site of worship.” The resolution likewise refers to the Western Wall Plaza as the “Al-Buraq Plaza ‘Western Wall Plaza,’” adding quotation marks to the Jewish name for the site.

PA Minister of Religious Affairs: "No non-Muslim has any connection to" Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., the Cave of the Patriarchs) or to Al-Aqsa Mosque, which "is defiled" by "settlers"

[PA] Minister of Religious Affairs Yusuf Ida’is emphasized that the Ibrahimi Mosque will remain an Islamic mosque, as no non-Muslim has any connection to it, and likewise the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is defiled on a daily basis by the occupation and its settlers in front of the world, and particularly in front of the Arab nation and the Muslim nation.”

PA daily: "There are no archaeological remains of Jews in historical Palestine"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Sept. 24, 2016
Headline: “The racist arrogance of Netanyahu – part 1”
Excerpt of op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, regular columnist for the official PA daily
“Israeli Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu is a clown who does not know how to amuse and a pathetic demagogue…
He says something and its opposite – one time [he says that]: ‘The UN has become a farce,’ and another time he says that: ‘The UN also changes, and everything is changing quicker than you think.’ Another time he announced that: ‘The UN Human Rights Council is a big joke, because every year it condemns Israel more than any other state in the world’…
Afterwards he continued with an attack against the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), and said that it ‘denied the close connection of 4,000 years between the ‘Jewish’ people and its holiest site, ‘the Temple Mount’ (meaning the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the first direction of prayer, and the third holiest sanctuary) [parentheses in source]. There are no archaeological remains of Jews in historical Palestine. Seventy years have passed and the Israeli archaeologists have not found any proof of their existence on the land and homeland of the Palestinian people.”

Palestinian activist: Palestinians descend from ancient Canaanites, if Jews were in Samaria 3000 years ago it was "for a short period" as "guests"
Source: Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Sept. 5, 2016
Headline: “Journalists took a tour of the historic village of Sebastia”
“Activists of the village of Sebastia (i.e., where an ancient Jewish capital stood, see note below) in the Nablus district, during a meeting of journalists held yesterday morning [Sept. 4, 2016], declared that the village is the third [place] after Jerusalem and Hebron that is [most] under the threat of Israeli Judaization …
The hashtag campaign #Sebastia_sun_of_the_cultures, which was officially launched yesterday by young activists, declared that the village of Sebastia is under threat of Judaization…
Head of the Sebastia Municipality Mu’tasim Aliwi said: ‘The Zionist occupation illegally insists that it has ownership of the place… Despite the occupation’s claim that it has roots in this village for the last 3,000 years, the Canaanites were here before that and established their culture here 4,000 years ago…’
Spokesman of the #Sebastia_sun_of_the_cultures campaign Zaid Al-Zuhri emphasized that, ‘Every bit of Sebastia tells of an ancient culture that has passed from here. They say it is Samaria, the capital of the northern kingdom. Indeed, this is the Israeli version on which they base their historic right to Palestine, and we say to them: ‘Perhaps we received you here as guests 3,000 years ago for a short period during the Roman period, but we have been here for more than 4,000 years. Sebastia is the direct continuation of Canaanite Shakim, in other words the city of Nablus.”

The city Shomron (Samaria in Greek), near Nablus, was the capital of the Northern Kingdom of Israel in the 9th and 8th centuries BCE. It was destroyed by the Assyrians in 722 BCE and rebuilt by the Judean King Herod in 27 BCE, who renamed it “Sebastia.” For more information, click "full article."

PA minister claims Cave of Patriarchs is a "purely Islamic site," condemns Jewish "invasions" of Al-Aqsa and calls for Ribat
Source: WAFA, official PA news agency, Sept. 1, 2016
Headline: “The occupation closed the Ibrahimi Mosque today, and banned the sounding of the call to prayer 49 times during the past month”
“The Israeli occupation authorities today, Thursday [Sept. 1, 2016], closed the Ibrahimi Mosque (i.e., Cave of the Patriarchs) in Hebron, and used the Jewish holidays as an excuse…
[PA] Minister of Religious Affairs Yusuf Ida’is condemned the occupation’s decision to close the mosque. He emphasized that it is necessary to act immediately in order to save it and put an end to this and all of the daily violations and attacks. Likewise, he viewed this as ‘an outrageous blow to the Muslims and to the purely Islamic site.’…
He added: ‘In the same way, the occupation continues its policy at the Al-Aqsa Mosque – daily invasions, Talmudic (i.e., Jewish) prayers, and plans to change the face of the land adjacent to it. [Even] the dead were not saved from its policy, especially in the historical Ma’man Allah (i.e., Mamilla) cemetery, which was and still is subjected to the ugliest attack. It [the occupation] is holding an alcohol drinking festival (i.e., the Jerusalem Beer Festival at Independence Park at the end of August 2016) on its land, and there is no need to mention the digging [in graves], the shattering [of tombstones], and the planting of fake graves.’
Likewise, he called to maintain a permanent presence [at the Al-Aqsa Mosque], and to go up to it and continue [carrying out] Ribat (i.e., religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic).”

Official Palestinian news agency: Israelis “defile Islamic holy sites under the pretext of them being Jewish [holy sites]”
Source: WAFA, official PA news agency, July 24, 2016
Headline: “Settlers defiled Islamic holy sites in Kifl Hares in Salfit”
“Today, Sunday [July 24, 2016] a group of settlers invaded the village of Kifl Hares (i.e., where the tomb of the Biblical figure Caleb Ben Yefuneh is located) north of Salfit (i.e., near Ariel) in order to defile Islamic holy sites under the pretext of them being Jewish [holy sites]…
Head of the Kifl Hares municipality Abd Al-Rahim Boudhiyeh said that the religious sites Dhu Al-Kifl, Dhu Al-Nun, and Khadem Salah Al-Din are subjected to ongoing defilement and invasions by the settlers who have even burnt them in the past.”
Note: The PA and its leaders consider any presence of Jews at a Muslim holy site as an "invasion" and as defilement. It should be noted that Jews are visiting open areas and not invading private property.
