PA government condemns proposed Israeli legislation on terror salaries: Israel was established “on the basis of the theft of the Palestinian people’s land, property, money, books, heritage, and antiquities”

Headline: “The [PA] government condemns the Israeli escalation against the Gaza Strip and the theft of Palestinian money”
“The [PA] government condemned the approval of the racist law to deduct the allowances (mukhassasat) of the prisoners and the Martyrs’ (Shahids) families from the Palestinian tax money in the Israeli Ministerial Committee [for Legislation] (see note below –Ed.). It emphasized that Israel, which was established on the basis of the theft of the Palestinian people’s land, property, money, books, heritage, and antiquities, is continuing with its actions with which it began 70 years ago.”

Bill to deduct terror salaries from PA tax money - On Feb. 18, 2018, the Israeli Ministerial Committee for Legislation approved a bill proposed by the Israeli Ministry of Defense that would deduct the amount of money the PA pays imprisoned terrorists and families of "Martyrs" from the tax money Israel collects for the PA. The bill would enable the deducted money to be used for infrastructure benefitting all West Bank residents, compensation awarded to terror victims in lawsuits against the PA or individual terrorists, and projects aimed at eliminating terror.
