Fatah official: salaries to terrorists and their families a “national responsibility and sacred obligation,” there will be “no harm… to the salaries”
Official PA TV News, on Fatah Central Committee Secretary Jibril Rajoub emphasizing Fatah’s commitment to paying terrorist prisoners’ salaries
Official PA TV newsreader: “Fatah Movement Central Committee Secretary Jibril Rajoub emphasized that Fatah and the leadership headed by [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas consider the prisoners’ cause, their release, and taking care of their families a national responsibility and sacred obligation that is indisputable and cannot be neglected. Rajoub added that Fatah’s position on this matter is solid, and that there [will be] no harm under any conditions and circumstances to the salaries (rawatib) and payments (istihqaqat) to the prisoners and released prisoners.”
Jibril Rajoub also holds the following positions: Head of the PLO Supreme Council for Sport and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Palestinian Football Association, Chairman of the Palestine Olympic Committee, and Chairman of the Palestinian Scout Association (PSA).
