Fatah official: Fatah led the Intifada, "no one else"

PA TV program
Talk Openly hosted Fatah Central Committee member Tawfiq Tirawi
Fatah Central Committee member Tawfiq Tirawi: "We are [dealing] with politics. We are all self-sacrificing fighters and have fought in the armed struggle. We found that, in view of the conditions in the Arab [world] and internationally, we might not be able to obtain a [Palestinian] state for our people. We turned to the Oslo [Accords] and to negotiations. The negotiations failed. After that, we carried out an Intifada (i.e., PA terror campaign 2000-2005). We were the ones who led the Intifada, no one else. Now, we are leading the popular resistance (i.e., the Oct. - Nov. 2014 riots and terror that murdered 11 Israelis) – we as the Fatah movement, and with us, the PLO, or the factions belonging to the PLO."
Official PA TV host: “Along with the entire Palestinian public.”
Tawfiq Tirawi: “Exactly, of course, the entire Palestinian public. But we are the ones leading this struggle…”
