Official PA daily: "Should we say there is a kidnapping conspiracy here?"
Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida - June 19, 2014

Op-ed by Hafez Barghouti, regular columnist for official PA daily
“The kidnapping or disappearance of the settlers helps the right-wing government, whose members have even demanded the expulsion of villages and to do as they please with the West Bank, in a number of ways. Before the ‘kidnapping,’ Netanyahu’s government was asked to give an answer to the US administration regarding its plans for the negotiations and the expansion of the settlements. At present, no one is talking about [getting] answers to the settlement [question]. Should we say there is a kidnapping conspiracy here?”

Note:On June 12, 2014, Israeli teens Eyal Yifrach, 19, Gilad Shaar, 16, and Naftali Frenkel, 16, were kidnapped while hitchhiking in the West Bank. The boys' bodies were found by Israeli security forces near Hebron on June 30, 2014. They appeared to have been shot to death soon after the abduction.
