“The engineer Adnan Al-Husseini, Minister of Jerusalem Affairs and Jerusalem district governor, stated: ‘ Our condition is serious, but Israel’ s condition is worse.’ He said: ‘ The Palestinian can wage this battle because it is a peaceful conflict, of which he is an expert, and he has no other option but to adhere to its land. Therefore, Israel made a mistake in its dealings with the Palestinians, in the West Bank and in Gaza, and even with the Palestinians of the interior (i.e., Israel).’
