PLO legislative body demands to “provide all types of support and assistance to the popular resistance”

“The Fatah movement, PLO factions, and spokespeople emphasized that the Palestinian revolution still exists and is renewed thanks to the blood of the Martyrs (Shahids) and the enormous sacrifice of our people in the struggle against the Israeli occupation, and the protection of our land and its holy sites against this occupier.
These things were said in separate statements published yesterday in honor of the 51st anniversary of the Fatah Launch (Intilaqa) and the outbreak of the Palestinian revolution…
The [Palestinian] National Council (i.e., the legislative body of the PLO) demanded in its notice to provide all types of support and assistance to the popular resistance ‘which our people is carrying out with great courage, first the end of all expressions of the rift, and uniting [the factions] under the framework of the PLO, who have been baptized in the blood of the Martyr leaders, primarily the Martyr leader Yasser Arafat.’ … PLO Executive Committee member and Secretary-General of the Palestine Liberation Front Dr. Wasel Abu Yusuf emphasized that the Fatah movement has kept the Palestinian cause alive through its armed and popular struggle and relying on dialogue between the factions.”
