PA Ministry of Education will continue to "strengthen the national identity" through its schoolbooks, even though Israel is "attacking the curricula"
Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida - Apr. 11, 2017

Headline: “The [Palestinian] Educational Coalition opens a workshop for members of the media in Ramallah”
“The Palestinian Educational Coalition, in cooperation with the [PA] Ministry of Education and Higher Education, opened a training workshop for members of the media in Ramallah in order to strengthen the cooperation with the media on topics of education…
In his speech, [PA] Deputy Minister [of Education and Higher Education] Dr. Basri Saleh… explained that despite all of the pressures on it, the [PA] Ministry of Education will continue to act to strengthen the national identity, and will make sure that its curricula will include all of the central topics in the framework of the national context, even though the occupation is attacking the curricula and views them as inciting.”

The curriculum references in the article relate to suggested changes in the new edition of the textbooks used in UNRWA (UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East) schools, which would remove some controversial elements such as the PA map of “Palestine” that presents all of Israel as “Palestine” together with the PA areas.
