PA cartoon mocks Israeli security measures on Temple Mount

Cartoon published in the official PA daily

Palestinian leaders routinely claim that Israel’s attempts to change the status quo of the Temple Mount and al-Aqsa Mosque are part of a larger plan of Judaization of Jerusalem – Ed. The cartoon shows an Arab man standing in front of police barricades and pointing at security cameras, while saying: “Whoever watches the [Arab] residents of Jerusalem will die of worry.”

The cartoon refers to security cameras that were placed by Israel along with metal detectors at the entrances to the Temple Mount following a terror attack there on July 14, 2017, in which 2 Israelis were murdered – see note below. Israel decided to remove the cameras on July 24, 2017.
