PLO official visits terrorist prisoners, including Marwan Barghouti, who planned attacks that killed 5

“Director General of Legal Affairs in the [PLO] Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs Luay Akkeh visited a number of prisons and met with a number of the leaders of the prisoners’ movement: Prisoner and leader Marwan Barghouti, female prisoner and [PA] Parliament Member Khalida Jarrar, most veteran prisoner of the occupation’s prisons Karim Younes, and prisoner Ammar Mardi.”
Notes: Marwan Barghouti - serving 5 life sentences for orchestrating three shooting attacks that killed 5 people: one in Jerusalem (June 12, 2001, 1 killed), another in Givat Zeev near Jerusalem (Jan. 15, 2002, 1 killed), and one in Tel Aviv (March 5, 2002, 3 killed). When arrested in 2002, he headed the Tanzim (Fatah terror faction). After he was convicted and imprisoned, he was re-elected member of the Palestinian Authority parliament.
Khalida Jarrar – PA MP arrested on April 12, 2015 for being a member of the terror organization PFLP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine), for inciting to kidnap Israeli soldiers and inciting to terror. Jarrar’s case is still pending as of this writing (Aug. 13, 2015).
Karim Younes - an Israeli Arab serving a 40-year sentence for kidnapping and killing Israeli soldier Avraham Bromberg in 1980 together with his cousin Maher Younes. Originally sentenced to life in prison, but Israeli President Shimon Peres reduced his sentence in 2012.
Ammar Mardi – serving one life sentence for his involvement in the kidnapping and murder of Israeli youth Yuri Gushchin from Pisgat Ze’ev on July 24, 2001.
