Abbas’ representative honors “Martyrs’” children: Martyrs were “fighters and heroes who sacrificed their pure blood”

“The National Association of the Martyrs’ Families [of Palestine], under the auspices Governor of the Tulkarem District Issam Abu Bakr, yesterday [Aug. 21, 2016] honored the outstanding high school students from among the children of the district’s Martyrs (Shahids) during a ceremony held at the regional headquarters.
Abu Bakr conveyed the blessings of [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas to the high school graduates from among the children of the Martyrs, the fighters and heroes who sacrificed their pure blood for the freedom of the homeland, independence, ending the occupation, and removing it from our land on the way to establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital…

Abu Bakr announced a one-time grant of 3,000 Jordanian dinars to the Martyrs’ children who succeeded in the Tulkarem district matriculation exams. The sum was granted by the committee of the Solidarity Fund Charity in order to support the students and emphasize the continuation of the path of the Martyrs by cultivating their offspring and children…
Outstanding student Bisan Fawaz Badran, the daughter of Martyr Fawaz Badran, thanked President Mahmoud Abbas, the governor of the Tulkarem district, the National Association of the Martyrs’ Families [of Palestine], and all of the official and civilian institutions that support the Martyr's family during a speech she gave on behalf of the male and female students who were honored.”

– 27-year-old terrorist and top official in the Hamas Izz A-Din Al-Qassam Brigades (Hamas’ military wing), according to Israeli sources responsible for the planning of two terrorist attacks in Netanya in which 9 people were murdered, and dozens injured. On July 13, 2001, Badran was killed in a car explosion. Hamas blamed Israel for the car bombing, but Israel denied responsibility. PMW has been unable to confirm which attacks he was responsible for.
