"The Siraj Al-Awdah Band held a revolutionary artistic ceremony in the presence of Secretary of the Fatah Movement and the PLO Factions in Tyre [in Lebanon] Tawfiq Abdallah, Fatah Head of Information in Tyre Muhammad Buqa'i, and Fatah leaders and members on Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, at the Tyre Cinema.
At the beginning ceremony emcee Bassel Abu Shihab welcomed those present, and afterwards Tawfiq Abdallah spoke and said: ‘The struggle and revolution are not only through carrying weapons and fighting, but also writing, working, singing, and art in all of their revolutionary forms in order to reach the main goal, which is to convey the idea and truth to the entire world.' He added: 'The revolution is still continuing until this day, and that is what members of the Palestinian people are translating [into action] by their resistance to the Zionist enemy with knives. We will pursue you [Zionists] with car rammings and kill you with rocks, Allah willing, and we will defeat you, and through intelligence, culture, and art, we will hold you accountable. We are a people that is worthy of living and you are a people whose fate is to disappear.’"
