Speaker at Fatah rally: “Negotiations and armed activity are [both] necessary to free the prisoners.”

“[At a Fatah rally held in Gaza in support of prisoner Fuad Al-Shubaki,] Fatah reiterated its support of [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas and the [PA] leadership. It [the movement] expressed its appreciation of the efforts being made to free the prisoners, and demanded that all legitimate measures be adopted to empty the prisons.
This [support was expressed] during a well-attended rally organized by Fatah in cooperation with the Nidal Al-Amoudi division of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, as a sign of solidarity with the prisoner and national leader, Fuad Al-Shubaki…
Abu Muhammad, a spokesman for the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, said that the Brigades are committed to the promise, and will reach the prisons to free the prisoners…
Muwaffaq Hmeid, director of the Gaza-based Association of Prisoners and Released Prisoners (Husam)… noted that Fatah was the first to kidnap occupation soldiers with the aim of freeing prisoners… He emphasized that negotiations and armed activity are [both] necessary to free the prisoners.”
