PA official: Compromise on 1967 borders will only be temporary, ultimate goal is Palestine "from the river to the sea"

Official PA TV Live  |
Official PA TV Live broadcast an event ‎honoring the prisoners released in the ‎third phase of prisoner releases.‎
Palestinian PA Parliament (Legislative ‎Council) member and PFLP ‎representative Khalida ‎Jarrar:
“First ‎of all, in principle, we must not give up ‎any option for freeing the prisoners. I’m ‎not saying who will do this or how they ‎will do so. [We] must not give up any ‎option. That includes the option of the ‎struggle and the revolutionary option. ‎I’m not saying we are calling on people ‎to start a revolution – that’s not the ‎point – but we must not give up this ‎option, and this means we must cease ‎security coordination [with Israel]. ‎
There is a minimum and a maximum. ‎The maximum, or the truth, is that ‎Palestine belongs to the Palestinians, ‎from the [Jordan] River to the ‎‎[Mediterranean] Sea (i.e., replacing all of Israel). We must not cede ‎this narrative. From the River to the ‎Sea, Palestine for the Palestinians. ‎Now they’re talking about a political ‎compromise, about a country within the ‎‎1967 borders, that’s called a political ‎compromise, and it hasn’t materialized, ‎‎[but] will only materialize [in the ‎future]‎, because, to this day, we ‎haven’t accepted the 1967 borders ‎either – but even a compromise on the ‎‎1967 borders must not lead us to ‎renounce that Palestine from the River ‎to the Sea belongs to the Palestinians; ‎and the heart of the matter is the right ‎of return, our cause is the right of ‎return.”‎
