PA official: Palestinians have the “right to use all legal forms of resistance” including “armed activity”
Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida - Aug. 7, 2014

Adnan Al-Damiri, official spokesman of the PA Security Forces, was interviewed by Al-Hayat Al-Jadida:
[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida:] ‘There have been Israeli attempts to blow up the security situation in the West Bank, and a number of internal elements have been competing among themselves [to assist] these efforts. How have you been dealing with this?’
[Official spokesman of the PA Security Forces Adnan Al-Damiri:] ‘At the meeting in Cairo (part of the Hamas-Fatah reconciliation process), all the factions and parties, without exception, agreed to adopt, at this stage, peaceful, popular resistance as a means of completing the process of [gaining] independence. This, of course, does not annul the Palestinians’ right to use all legal forms of resistance to liberate themselves from the occupation… We do not preach war, but wish to liberate our homeland from the occupation. We can do this with various means, which have been tried in many countries, without rejecting [the option of] armed activity, which none of the Palestinian organizations, including Fatah, has renounced in their regulations.’”
