Fatah officials at rally in Lebanon express support for all types of "resistance," both violent and diplomatic
Donia Al-Watan (independent Palestinian news agency) - Apr. 1, 2016

Headline: “Mass rally to mark the glorious Al-Karameh battle and the Martyr Dalal Mughrabi operation”
“In commemoration of the glorious Al-Karameh battle and the Martyr (Shahida) Dalal Mughrabi operation (i.e., terror attack, 37 murdered) and as a sign of adherence to the land on Land Day and support of the popular uprising of our people in Palestine, Fatah’s Tyre branch leadership held a mass rally in the Al-Bass refugee camp in the presence of Fatah branch leadership members Abu Ahmad Zidani, Abu Hisham Hussein Fayyad, and Amal Al-Khatib ‘Um Sari’, Secretary of the PLO factions and leader of Fatah’s Tyre branch Tawfiq Abdallah, and the deputy manager of the Palestinian issue in Hezbollah Atallah Hamoud…
The ceremony began with the recitation of the [Quranic] Al-Fatiha Sura for the Martyrs' souls, following which the Lebanese and Palestinian national anthems were played. Afterwards the official in charge of information in Fatah’s Tyre branch gave an introduction in which he emphasized that on Land Day we remember our heroic Martyrs, who have written the most spectacular epics of resistance and resolve for freedom and independence, and have proven to the world that our Palestinian people will not rest or compromise, and will continue to adhere to the resistance in all its forms, led by the legal Palestinian leadership headed by President Mahmoud Abbas, who holds the trust given to him by the symbol of Palestine, Martyr Yasser Arafat. We in the Fatah movement stand alongside the Islamic and national Lebanese resistance, and object to describing this resistance as terror, because if resisting the Zionist occupation is terror, then we are all terrorists…
Afterwards, Atallah Hamoud gave a speech on behalf of Hezbollah, in which he stressed that… ‘On Land Day, we in Hezbollah and the Islamic resistance emphasize that what was taken by force will only be restored by force, and that the land will only be liberated through resistance. We are now in a gathering of the brothers of the Fatah Movement - Fatah the first gunshot, Fatah the Palestinian lion cub, Fatah the rifle, and Fatah the Martyrs who were sown in the land and flowered as anemones…
Next, Ahmad Zidani gave a speech on behalf of Fatah, in which he emphasized: ‘We are in the trench of protection of the Palestinian mother, her right and the right of her people to achieve freedom and independence. She is the mother who received her son as a Martyr, and she is the mother whose children are killed at point blank range, in a world devoid of conscience and willpower. This is the Palestinian month of March… in which Dalal [Mughrabi] and Ayaat [Al-Akhras] draw the lines of the new philosophy of struggle – ‘The people, the entire people, in the trench of the resistance fighter’… and from the womb of March we say: We desperately need the spring (alluding to the Spring of Nations or the Arab spring. -Ed) to unite us, change the balance of power, and change the equation, and we must all turn to the arena of the popular uprising of resistance and support this Palestinian product… the product of resistance that was created on Jan. 1, 1965 (i.e., Intilaqa – the launch of Fatah) which we see today in the resolve of the glorious, free Murabitat (i.e., women who carry out Ribat, religious conflict/war over land claimed to be Islamic).
The most impressive types of resistance fighters are:
One who stabbed a settler who defiled the doorsteps of the Al-Aqsa Mosque – a resistance fighter
One who ran over a soldier who harmed the uprising of the holy sites - a resistance fighter
One who raised the Palestinian flag above the UN headquarters - a resistance fighter
One who is good at sitting behind the negotiation desk and turns it into a battlefield - a resistance fighter
The creation of civil peace for our people and security and stability in the refugee camps to maintain the peace in the area – resistance

And because we are part of the geography of the resistance that humiliates the thieving entity, we will be nothing but faithful protectors of all kinds of resistance…”

Intilaqa - "the Launch" (i.e., the “launch” of Fatah on Jan. 1, 1965, when it carried out its first terror attack against Israel, attempting to blow up Israel's National Water Carrier)

Ayyat Al-Akhras - The youngest female Palestinian suicide bomber (aged 17). A member of Fatah, Al-Akhras blew herself up near a Jerusalem supermarket on March 29, 2002, killing 2 and wounding 28. Israel transferred the terrorist's body to the PA on Feb. 2, 2014.

Dalal Mughrabi led the most lethal terror attack in Israel’s history, known as the Coastal Road massacre, in 1978, when she and other Fatah terrorists hijacked a bus on Israel's Coastal Highway, killing 37 civilians, 12 of them children, and wounding over 70.

The terms "all means," "peaceful uprising,” and “popular uprising" are ‎often used by PA leaders to refer to events that include violence and deadly terror ‎against Israeli civilians such as rock-throwing, stabbings and even shootings. See ‎Mahmoud Abbas' reference to murderous terror as "peaceful" during the 2015-2016 ‎terror wave (“The Knife Intifada”), which included numerous stabbing ‎attacks here.

Land Day – an annual commemoration of the general strike and demonstrations organized by Israeli Arab residents of the Galilee on March 30, 1976 to protest the Israeli government's decision to expropriate land in the Galilee for security and settlement purposes, which it later implemented. During the protests, demonstrators burnt tires, blocked roads, and threw rocks and firebombs. Six demonstrators were shot and killed by the Israeli army and police. Israeli Arabs and Palestinians consider Land Day a national day.

The Karameh battle, or Al-Karameh - On March 21, 1968, Israeli army forces attacked the town of Karameh in Jordan, where Fatah terrorists had been launching attacks on Israel. Although Israel prevailed militarily, Arafat used the event for propaganda purposes, declaring the battle a great victory that erased the disgrace of the 1967 Six Day War defeat.
