Fatah spokesman: Hebron attacks are part of Hamas' agenda for West Bank takeover

     “Fatah spokesman Ahmad Asaf emphasized that ‘Hamas has directly strengthened the position of the Israeli government, and the aim of its operation in Hebron is to draw the occupation forces into acts of revenge and to harm the achievements of the PA in the West Bank.’
In a statement on behalf of the Information and Culture Commission, Asaf added: ‘Through this operation, Hamas seeks to disseminate anarchy, to threaten stability in the West Bank, and to continue with the Hamas agenda of takeover, which it commenced in the Gaza Strip.’ He emphasized that the Hamas operation in Hebron contradicts Palestinian national interests, the aims of the Palestinian people, and its struggle for freedom and independence.”
