PA daily: Terrorist is “Martyr” who “was accompanied to his wedding”
Headline: “Martyr Skafi was accompanied to his wedding (i.e., to the Dark-Eyed Virgins of the Islamic Paradise) two days before his engagement”
“Last night’s hours passed by slowly for the mother of Martyr (Shahid) Ibrahim Samir Skafi, 22, and for the first time she wanted to sleep but was unable to, as her tears were flowing… and the fire in her heart flared up for the loss of her joy and her source of support, Ibrahim.
The family and neighborhood women gathered around the mother of Martyr Ibrahim and his only sister, trying to ease the tragedy of the moment of the last farewell.
The Martyr’s mother cried with the intensity of her earlier joy for the engagement of her firstborn son Ibrahim, which was supposed to be celebrated on Saturday, but the occupation’s bullets hurried to him and snatched him from his mother, his fiancée and all those who loved him. The women received Ibrahim’s [body] with cries of joy, but the Martyr’s mother, whose legs could not carry her, extended her arms in order to hug her son, as she whispered: ‘The groom has arrived, my darling has arrived…’
The Martyr’s uncle responded to the events: ‘Ibrahim watered the soil of Hebron with his blood, and he is a Martyr who sacrificed himself for Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. He was like a brother to us, and everyone who knew him and knew his character and nobility loved him. The pain of parting from him will be hard to forget, and the sorrow over his departure is stronger than any word.’
The Martyr’s father, who shed timid tears for the youth of his son who was snatched from him with a pull of a trigger, took a place above [Ibrahim’s] head a short while before the prayer [for his soul], so that he and his sons could recite verses of the Quran.”
Ibrahim Samir Skafi – 23-year-old Palestinian terrorist who rammed his car into 3 border policemen at the Halhoul junction near Hebron on Nov. 4, 2015, wounding them. Skafi was shot and killed by soldiers. Border Policeman Benjamin Yakubovich, 19, was mortally wounded in the attack, and died from his wounds on Nov. 8, 2015.
